Chapter 381 Tyrant of the Skies? Kill!

Every audience member gasped at the chilling scene. It was just too close.

“Fuck, almost had a heart attack!”

“Xiang Ning’s very strong to be able to react in time.”

Meanwhile, Xiang Ning’s brows were knitted as he looked at the spiral rows of sharp teeth and disgustingly smelly mucus, a vein popping on his forehead.

“Dancing Peacock!”

The Dancing Peacock technique at Peak Mastery triggered the Yin of Tai Chi!

The eight-meter-long giant maggot was flicked into the air, much to the shock of the audience. It was an impressive sight, looking like a freight train that was grabbed by a human arm and flicked like a whip.

Xiang Ning slammed it to the ground and its abdomen swelled. He knew it was about to spew magma in the next second, but it was currently still biting on his weapon and he was holding on to that same weapon. If he gave up the Devourer, he could save himself, but if he didn’t, he would be blasted by magma.

Admittedly, the maggot had some intelligence. It sensed the oppressive feeling from the Devourer and hated it.

As a human, why wouldn’t Xiang Ning be able to guess its thoughts? He coldly chuckled, then pressed a button on the attachment for the third time. The main parts of the weapon shrank while Xiang Ning pulled out the Devourer, leaving the broadsword shell behind. Compared to its previous form, the weapon was now thinner at about the width of three fingers and 1.7 meters long.

Upon pulling out the Devourer, he slashed horizontally into the maggot, unleashing the Shadowmist Ghost Step and driving his feet into the ground. He shot forth like an arrow out of a bow, slicing his sword through the maggot while a crater was left where he had stood.

From afar, what the audience saw was a long wound dragged from the maggot’s mouth along the path where he ran while red, green, and yellow fluids poured from its body. It was a chilling sight.

When Xiang Ning arrived at the swollen portion, red-brown magma burst out of its abdomen, though the liquid wasn’t as quick as him. He wasn’t afraid of the magma as he possessed the Yin of Tai Chi.

Just like that, he cut through eight meters of maggot as it cried in agony, squirming in a frenzy. The more it moved, the larger its wound stretched, right until its last cry before death.

Shocking was the only word to describe the scene. In less than a minute, a tier six beast that was known as the King of the Land had been killed. Although there was a close call, such a result was unbelievable.

But before the humans could celebrate, two beasts appeared from the east and west. Based on their speed, they would arrive in twenty seconds.

And what was Xiang Ning doing? His sword was stabbed into the Magmaggot’s abdomen, where the magma accumulated. There was a ball of flesh-like substance there, which was the organ the maggot used to heat up the rocks it swallowed, creating magma. That was where its beast core was.

The grayish black goo at the tip of the Devourer tightly snaked around the beast core, slowly digesting it. Xiang Ning sensed the joy from the weapon and paid no attention to the beasts charging at him.

“It’s an Iron Tank! A tier six Iron Tank!”

“Wow, that Iron Tank just broke through from tier five after eating more than thirty martial artists! Its defensive properties are impressive!”

“This is a difficult one. Although the Magmaggot is the King of the Land, its defenses are nothing like an Iron Tank!”

“Look, that’s the Tyrant of the Skies, the Thunder Eagle!”

“Wow, a Tyrant of the Skies and a newly leveled-up King of Defenses! How will he fight them both?”

The audience, who had just heaved a collective sigh of relief, grew anxious again.

“I think he should run this time. This isn’t something anyone can handle. If there’s another person that can help Xiang Ning, then I think they stand a chance!”

“Yeah, run! We must always learn to let go!”

“Running is better than losing your life, let Xiang Ning run from this one.”

But Xiang Ning ignored the advice in his earpiece, continuing to let the Devourer digest the Magmaggot’s beast core.

Ten, nine, eight… two, one!

Xiang Ning heard a shrill cry from his left and the earth vibrating from the right. The Devourer had also finished its meal. He smiled; after the meal, it was time for some fun.

“Eight Gates! Seventh gate, Gate of Death! Open! Eighth gate, Gate of Shock! Open!”

Instantly, his cultivation was elevated to a tier he had never seen: tier six, seven-star! The pupils of the Iron Tank, which were the size of adult fists, shrank in response to the terrifying presence. Even the Tyrant of the Skies turned its wings to leave.

But....

“Do you think you can run?” Xiang Ning sneered like the Devil. Fearsome beasts used to be the devils from hell coming to reap souls, while humans could only watch as their loved ones died in the Great Disaster. But now, Xiang Ning unleashed Shadowmist Ghost Step and stepped hard on the Iron Tank’s head, launching into the sky right in the eagle’s path.

The silver sword with purple lines turned golden brown, like magma. It was a surprising ability the Devourer gained after absorbing the Magmaggot’s core. Pairing the extreme heat with the Devourer’s sharp blade, Xiang Ning cut off the Thunder Eagle’s wings, which were the same wings that could cut through modern humans’ metal weapons.

As the eagle fell, he fell as well. The audience saw countless blade glints slashing at the eagle, and when it was about to hit the ground, Xiang Ning grabbed its feathers and pulled, his feet stepping on its head. He raised the Devourer and slashed.

The eagle’s body crashed to the ground, followed by its head.

Boom!

A deafening roar came from the crowd of humans as they madly cheered. That was insane! Absolutely insane! Xiang Ning was a god!

“Fuck, fuck, fuck!”

“What’d I just witness?”

“That’s crazy!”

“Wow!”

“So a Tyrant of the Skies was killed just like that?”

Within the fortress, Lei Runyun started laughing, slamming his fist on the table while the vice-commander’s jaw dropped.

“Xiang Ning is as terrifying as Death himself!” He had killed the Simian Sage, then, six months later, killed a tier six King of the Land before killing a Tyrant of the Skies within a minute! Since when had killing tier six beasts become as easy as slaughtering a chicken?!
