Chapter 348 Ferocious Warrior

Fang Hao almost kicked Xiang Ning for calling him brother-in-law. He wanted to say something, but the words wouldn’t come out. He had thought of a lot of questions to ask Xiang Ning while he was on the way to block him, but the questions were all answered the moment he saw him.

“I really want to give you a slap. Did you think about the others when you decided to do this?” Fang Hao scoffed at him. In just a few months, Fang Rou had grown into a strong warrior on the battlefield. She was no longer a princess that they had to protect. How much pain must she have gone through in order to become what she was today?

Fang Hao treasured his sister, so much so that he had hoped that she wouldn’t have to go through that experience. It was so easy to lose your life on the battlefield. And the cause of her change was none other than Xiang Ning.

“I did.”

“You did?!” Fang Hao punched Xiang Ning, a bruise already appearing on his face. Fang Hao wasn’t holding back.

Xiang Ning fell backward to the floor and smiled as he looked at Fang Hao. “Thanks.”

Fang Hao shut his eyes and raised his head. Xiang Ning naturally knew that what he’d done had harmed many other people. Every time he used the power he gained from the system, and every time he lay in the infirmary, he already knew what he had to do. He was only one man, and the power he gained from the system may not be permanent. What if another Simian Sage appeared after he had killed the first one?

What would the results be?

He had always tackled dangerous situations by himself, because he didn’t want to lose the people close to him. In the end, he was only one person. It was impossible for him to forever be by their side. He was only harming them in the end.

That was why he had decided that he would leave their side for a moment so that they could grow. Even his sister’s cultivation had explosively grown. Xiang Ning was proud of her; it was clear that his decision was correct.

He had only decided to return now for one reason: his house was in the path of the stampede. It was a small house, but it was filled with memories of when they were still poor and weak. It was where he had lived out the coldest part of his life. No one would demolish it, not ever!

He slowly stood up and dusted himself off. “By the way, do you feel something?”

“What is it?”

“We have some ‘friends’ from afar.”

“What?” Fang Hao was confused.

“Let’s give them a warm welcome!” Xiang Ning suddenly grinned coldly. He had already detected a familiar aura.

Fang Hao received a piece of news at the same time through his communicator. It was his turn to smile. “And here I thought about how the beasts became so smart that they could avoid the detection of the fortress in front and find the tunnel in the abandoned mine to attack Marsh City.”

“The Seven Deadly Sins,” the two said at the same time. They had a grudge against the cult, and it wasn’t a small one. Only one of them may survive in this world.

“Sir… let’s send Xiang Ning back and move toward the front line,” one of Fang Hao’s teammates suggested.

Xiang Ning quietly gauged their strength and saw they were all elites. None of them were extremely tall or muscular, but the aura they gave off was as sharp as swords and their eyes were extremely focused.

They were all at least tier four.

He nodded with approval before turning to Fang Hao and saying, “Let’s go and see what they are up to. It’s been a while since we taught them a lesson.”

“Hmph.” Seeing that his suggestion was ignored, the team member disgruntedly scoffed. Moments later, he realized that was a bit shallow of him and coughed to hide his embarrassment. Still, he continued trying to persuade his leader. “Sir, if it's really the Seven Deadly Sins, we should move fast and ask sect master Fang to send in reinforcements.” He was hinting for Xiang Ning to leave while they rushed to the front.

The cult members of the Seven Deadly Sins were all special targets. Killing even one of them was considered a large contribution. After all, the Seven Deadly Sins were one of the most dangerous groups of criminals in the Federation. The previous president of the Federation was assassinated by none other than them, after all. Since then, everyone wished for their total eradication.

Fang Hao ignored him. “Have you recovered?”

“Of course. Do I look like I’m lying?” Xiang Ning patted the metal box strapped behind him.

“Fine, let’s go to the front. How could you not be there while we beat those assholes up?”

Xiang Ning smiled. He had finally found someone who truly knew him. If Fang Hao were to try and stop him, he would have racked his brain to find a way to run to the front anyway. And he didn’t want to do that, if it was possible to avoid it. He was a noble warrior, not some petty thief that snuck around.

“But… Sir.…”

The other squad members just pulled the man’s sleeves and shook their heads. They wanted him to stay quiet. Fang Hao and Xiang Ning ignored them.

Xiang Ning rode his Windbreaker and rushed to the battlefield. He easily outpaced Fang Hao and the rest.

......

Back at the front, the situation had turned for the worse; it was hell on earth. Only the final defensive perimeter was holding.

“Sir! We can’t hold on much longer!”

If their opponents were only Savage Sand Rats, they could have blocked for another minute or two until reinforcements arrived. However, with the cult members running rampant, despair filled their hearts. In just two minutes all of their defensive perimeters had been breached. The martial artists didn’t even have the chance to self-destruct.

Crash!

Something fell behind the commander as a pungent scent filled the air. The commander, eyes filled with rage, swung his sword backward but felt a strong grip on his neck.

“Look what I caught!” A wolf mutant raised the commander up as it toyed with him.

The other mutants were killing the rest of the martial artists. The commander saw everything and was struggling as he felt his anger explode. He wanted to kill all these damn beasts!

The final defensive perimeter has been breached; everyone was dead. Three hundred warriors. Every single one of them had died in battle on the third route.

The commander saw the horde of Savage Sand Rats stepping over the bodies of his fallen comrades as they ran into the city. He could only think about his family and the rest of the people in the city; there was nothing he could do.

He prayed that at least some of them would be lucky enough to escape.

Just as he let despair grip his heart, the sound of dying beasts filled the air. It was the sound of the Savage Sand Rats being massacred. He opened his eyes and saw a miracle. A single warrior on a bike had established one final barricade, like a ferocious warrior of the past!

If the mutants were a dangerous enemy, the person on the bike was like an emperor to the Savage Sand Rats.

MC IS HERE. GET FUCKED!
