Chapter 349 Expose

“Hmm? Is it one of us?” The wolf mutant was still gripping the commander tightly.

“Doesn’t look like it. We don’t have anyone that can suppress the beasts that much. Maybe it's Lord Obsession?” a rhino mutant answered.

“Eagle, your eyesight is the best. Who is that guy?” The wolf mutant asked but no reply came. He turned and saw the eagle mutant’s pupils had shrunk in fear. “No… that’s impossible! His aura is so strong but he’s still so young! Is the Federation also experimenting with genetic manipulation just like us?!”

“What?” The wolf mutant was confused.

“It’s a very young boy, but his aura is so strong that the Savage Sand Rats are too afraid to even step forward! We don’t have someone as young as him in our group, nor do we have someone that’s fused with the genes of such a strong beast!” Eagle regained his composure.

On the other end of the road, Xiang Ning was troubled. Should he kill or walk past the Savage Sand Rats?

There were at least a few thousand of them, if he wanted to kill them. He could drive them away, but the defensive perimeters had been breached. What if they escaped into the sewers? There could be another stampede of Savage Sand Rats if that were to happen. The mutants were also not easy to deal with.

“Eh, fuck it. If he interferes we should just kill him,” one of the mutants furiously roared. The Savage Sand Rats cowered in fear.

“Don’t rush in. We still have the human commander. Let’s see if we can provoke that guy by killing our toy.” The wolf mutant had just finished his sentence when the other mutants were taken by surprise.

“It looks like the beast you got is really bad. You should choose the other genes next time.” Xiang Ning’s voice drifted into his ears.

The wolf mutant had only turned his back on Xiang Ning for barely three seconds, but he had already crossed the hundred-meter gap between them.

“Rah!” The muscles of the wolf mutant swelled as its blood coursed through its veins. His beast genes activated as his strength exploded. He was now capable of moving objects weighing a thousand tons, enough to turn a regular human to mush.

“Hmph!” Xiang Ning’s cold voice came from behind him as he launched a fearsome attack containing the aura of a Grim Claw. The wolf mutant felt fear of death for the first time. It was unable to use more than 20% of its strength as its tempo was disrupted.

An arm the size of a cow’s leg was seen flying through the air the next second. After slashing, Xiang Ning followed Keen Observation’s path and used his knee to attack the wolf mutant’s other elbow. An opening was created!

He hadn’t used much strength, and the wolf mutant knew it, too. Still, its remaining hand involuntarily opened and the commander fell to the ground, gasping for air.

“Fuck off!” Xiang Ning spun and kicked the wolf mutant’s weak point the moment he landed. The two-meter-tall monster was sent flying away.

“AAAAOUCH” The wolf mutant felt its waist almost snap in half as it howled in pain. To think that the boy had only kicked his waist! He was almost crippled in that one attack.

Everything had happened so fast; Xiang Ning’s assault lasted no more than five seconds. The other mutants were dumbfounded.

Xiang Ning gently pulled the commander up as Fang Hao and the rest arrived.

“Fuck off!” The aura of a Grim Claw exploded from his body, which caused the Savage Sand Rats to open up a path for him. Even the other mutants were somewhat suppressed.

“This human… what kind of gene did he use?”

“Who cares. He’s just one person, and he isn’t even tier five. We might be able to obtain something if we eat him!” A sinister smile appeared on the eagle mutant’s face.

Xiang Ning quickly took the commander away from the battle. He had just turned around when he felt an iron grip on his sleeve.

“Kill! Kill them all!” The commander’s voice was feeble, but his rage was loud and clear. If it weren’t for his current condition, he would have stood up and fought to the death with the mutants. All of his brothers had died on the third route, what use is being alive?

Xiang Ning didn’t answer him and merely nodded. He licked his lips as he provoked the ten mutants. “All of you are surrounded. Surrender now and let us toy with you, or fight to your miserable deaths!”

Everyone was stunned, even the Savage Sand Rats, when they heard him.

The Savage Sand Rats felt the pressure on them progressively increasing. They were now too afraid to even run away. The ten mutants were also affected by Xiang Ning’s Taunt as they lost all rationality. Fang Hao knew about Xiang Ning’s tactic to provoke his foe so that they would make predictable movements and expose their openings.

Fang Hao respected Xiang Ning’s tactic, but couldn’t imitate it. Provoking his opponents to the point where they went berserk was usually not a good idea, as they would fight without regard for their life to the point where their combat prowess would actually increase by many folds. For some reason, Xiang Ning could do so and still suppress his opponents. The more they fought against him, the more desperate they felt.

According to Xiang Ning, it was a tactic that allowed him to expose his opponent and mentally break them.

Only those who didn’t understand Xiang Ning, like the four squad members that were currently following Fang Hao, were in disbelief of what he had said even though he didn’t taunt them. They hadn’t seen how the wolf mutant had been knocked away by him and assumed it was a lucky sneak attack instead. On the human side, there were only seven of them at best, and that was if the commander recovered his strength. How could they be the ones surrounding the mutants?

Laughter emanated from the mutants. Just as fast as they started laughing, they stopped. Their eyes were now bloodshot, even the wolf mutant who had lost his limb. That was the weakness of mutants—they were too susceptible to the berserk factor and losing control of their bodies.

Fury Points +999

...

In an instant, ten thousand Fury Points had been credited to Xiang Ning. He was happy to finally receive more Fury Points after so long. He had found his golden geese and he intended to fully utilize them!

“Kill him!” Only the eagle mutant managed to suppress the berserk factor, though he was still extremely mad. Thanks to him being able to control himself better than the others, he had been chosen as the squad leader for his team. Even if he were to go berserk, he would still be able to give commands to his squad.

“Fuck! You fucking madman! How can we fight now?! We’re doomed because of you!” The squad member who had tried to send Xiang Ning away before was cursing at him now. There were ten tier five mutants! The human side was no match for them, either in terms of strength or numbers! Only death awaited them.

Good good. Wipe them out!
