75 I Don't Bite.

He got up and stretched before lazily walking to the kitchen. He opened the fridge and took out a bunch of ingredients and placed them on the kitchen counter. He then started preparing his meal.

It did not take long before someone joined him in the kitchen. Lauren had seen him go to the kitchen, so when she heard the sounds of someone cooking, she went to check on what was going on.

Most of the people in the house were doing their own diets and after indulging the previous day together with the shoot that they will have to do after two days, she wasn't expecting Marcel to be cooking.

"Didn't you just have breakfast?" Lauren asked as she watched him marinate the meat he was planning on making.

"Yeah, I'm hungry again though," Marcel said as he took a skillet and placed it on the stove.

"Oh, your metabolism must be crazy," she said enviously.

"Not really, you want some? I'm making a salad as well," Marcel joked as he pointed at the vegetables that he had set aside.

"Sure, you need some help? I'm no chef but I think I can manage a salad" Lauren answered but didn't make a move to get off the stool she was sitting on. Instead, she just rested her head on her hand as she watched him move around in the kitchen.

"Mmh," Marcel answered absentmindedly. As he put his meat on the skillet so it would grill.

"Oh, I wanted to ask if you can take part in my ad," Marcel said out of nowhere as he glanced in her direction before continuing to chopping up the things he needed for the salad.

"Eh? Me?" Lauren asked surprised. Not that she wasn't expecting someone to ask her, it was just that she wasn't expecting such a request from the guys since she did not look very feminine with her short hair and tattoos.

"Yes you," Marcel said as he continued with what he was doing.

"Did your hunger get in your head? Why?" Lauren asked after a short pause.

"You feel comfortable to work with," Marcel answered honestly.

"Is that the criterion?" Lauren asked, feeling puzzled.

Marcel stopped what he was doing and looked at her closely. He even leaned on the kitchen counter and leaned forward to look at her closely. As he expected, she did not pull back from him as normal people would when someone suddenly invaded their personal s.p.a.ce.

"No, it's because you're pretty," Marcel said seriously.

The filming crew: …

"Since you are so nice about it, I'll be generous and help you out," Lauren said with a laugh.

"I'm being serious," Marcel said as he pulled back and continued prepping his salad.

"Mmh, I know," Lauren said half-heartedly. She could guess why he had asked her instead of someone like Micah who had a very stunning appearance.

"As payment, you'll be in charge of my meals," Lauren said as she hopped off the stool she was sitting on and left the kitchen. Marcel looked at her retreating back with raised eyebrows before continuing to prepare his meal with a smile on his face.

[Are you sure about using Lauren?] Avian asked Marcel who was busying himself.

u003cShe will be great for the transition. Besides, I looked at her face carefully and she has very beautiful and feminine features.u003e Marcel commented.

[What you have planned for your advert is a bit too much] Avian commented, making Marcel smile.

u003cI know, but if I win, they will be paying me. Liam will start school tomorrow, It's not going to be cheap and I don't want anyone to see him as a charity caseu003e Marcel said.

He wanted to deposit enough money for his allowance so he won't get looked down on by his cla.s.smates when he was in school. Just surviving through his school years won't be good for his confidence and self-esteem.

After Avian heard his comment he chose to just keep quiet. If that was the case and since the production crew had even agreed to provide all the props, he would need and didn't even allocate a budget (Which was going to be their loss) then he would not stop Marcel.

Marcel finished cooking and sat down for his meal. He was just thinking about how the advert would turn out, so he was lost in his thoughts.

Micah walked into the kitchen while tying up her hair. Marcel heard her footsteps and turned to look at her. She, on the other hand, stood frozen on the spot while looking at Marcel.

"Hungry?" Marcel asked after swallowing his food. Micah looked at him, then his plate of food before looking at him again and shaking her head to say no.

Marcel shrugged his shoulders and continued eating. She carefully walked to the fridge before running the coffee maker and awkwardly stood in the kitchen.

Marcel looked up at her from his plate and saw how she kept fidgeting while impatiently looking at the coffeemaker.

"Are you okay?" Marcel asked with a small frown. He had noticed that she had barely spoken two sentences that day.

He did not know if she was just shy or if she was always awkward like this. Micah nodded when she heard his question and looked at the coffee maker again avoiding his gaze.

"Why don't you sit down?" Marcel asked when he saw how she wouldn't even lean on the kitchen counter.

"No, I'm fine," she said in rejection.

"You don't look comfortable, just sit down, I don't bite," Marcel said as he pointedly looked at the stools that were next to him. Micah looked at the stools as well and after hesitating a bit, she went and sat on the stool that was furthest away from him.

Marcel did not bother with her after that. He had just found it distracting when she was fidgeting in front of him when he was trying to eat.

When her mug started getting filled with coffee, Micah stood up and went to pick up her coffee. She then quickly made her way out of the kitchen, but then she suddenly stopped on her way out, almost spilling the hot coffee on her hand.

"Um, enjoy your meal," she said before walking out of the kitchen. Marcel watched her retreating figure with a raised eyebrow before the corners of his lips slightly rose.

The filming crew: …

It was the first time they had seen her take the initiative to talk to someone else. She was always very quiet and only speak when spoken to.

She had barely even talked to her roommate and even the little she said was because Ellie frustrated her enough that she was forced to answer her otherwise she would not have shut up.
