74 Jewellery

"So production has decided that the first theme for the compet.i.tion will be- "Don started and paused briefly so that he could raise the tension of the partic.i.p.ants.

"It's Jewelry," Marissa finished. She had a very impatient personality, so she found it bothersome to pause for a long time for the sake of suspense. In short, she was not fit to host anything. Don glanced at her speechlessly as she continued to explain the rules.

"You will be provided access to a wide range of jewellery, it is upon you to create an advert that is 30-40 seconds long, the best three will be used formally by the Jewelry company and you will be given modelling and part of the production fees. You will also be given an advantage in the next challenge," Marissa said and gracefully smiled at the camera.

Don had composed himself in time, so he continued to dictate the rules that were set.

"You are only allowed to work individually, however, one other person is allowed to feature in your advert should you feel that there is a need for it. Remember, only one person is allowed. If more than two people appear then you will be disqualified automatically. You can use as much jewellery as you would like, so don't skimp out on them either. But be careful not to appear gaudy. That is not attractive," Don advised as he directed a pointed gaze to the female models. He knew how easy it was for people to get greedy and go overboard with such things.

"Filming will start in three days, the filming crew will be around to help with filming the commercial, try to submit the plan for the shoot in two days so that the shoot will go smoothly." Marissa finished.

"We would like to wish you all good luck," both Don and Marissa said at the same time. After their last statement, the mood instantly became more relaxed.

Marcel knew that they had to stay quiet as they did for the sake of filming, but after listening to what project they will be doing he had quite a number of questions. He immediately raised his hand to ask what he needed to.

"Yes?" Don asked.

"Do we have a budget? And if we end up collaborating with someone else, do we have to pay them? Also, is there a limit to how much the other party contributes to the finished work?" Marcel asked.

"You won't be given money, but if there are props that you are going to need you can inform the production crew and they will work something out for you. As for payment, that will be something that you need to discuss with the other party. Keep in mind, that if someone else appears on your advert and it wins, then you will have split the modelling fees with them, but only the modelling fees. As for contribution, that is up to you would have to pay them for their work according to their contribution. Of course, this is if you win. Of course, the issue of votes will be up to you, both images of the models that took part in the advert will be posted with the ad, whether you choose to keep all the votes to yourself or split them with the other person is going to be your choice. In short, be careful not to get exploited," Marissa said with a smile on her face.

"Thank you," Marcel said after processing what she said and she just nodded in his direction.

"Any other questions?" Don asked, but no one came forward with any more questions.

"You can ask the production team if you have more questions later," he continued good-naturedly. It was at that moment that Marissa's manager went to say something to the director. Marissa had already sat back down and was observing the people in the house. The CEO had asked her to check if there was anyone here with potential. The thing was, she did see a lot of potential but she just did not want to make any of these young people go through what she had to go through so she was determined not to say anything about it.

She knew that they might end up getting roped into their company anyway because it wasn't like her CEO was blind. She just didn't want to play a part in that scenario.

"We have to go to our next schedule," her manager came to whisper next to her, and she nodded absentmindedly.

"I will see you all next time, I have an appointment after this," Marissa said as she stood up with a smile. Marcel lifted his head to look at her as she stood up and their eyes met. He smiled back politely before she nodded in his direction before turning to leave.

He was not sure how she ended up in his previous life, but as a person who used to be a woman in the same industry, he felt like it would be very hypocritical of him if he just chose to turn a blind eye to her current circ.u.mstances.

u003cI'll talk to Julia about it,u003e he thought to himself.

[Agreed] Avian answered.

Don also left shortly after Marissa left and the members were left alone. Some were still trying to get over their hangover, so they went back to their rooms to rest. On the other hand, Marcel closed his eyes and leaned on the sofa.

u003cGo through some of the most popular jewellery commercials and show them to me, u003e Marcel told Avian.

Avian had already prepared some for reference, so he immediately brought them forward for Marcel to review. As he watched them, his eyebrows furrowed.

u003cThe target audience is women in almost all of them, u003e Marcel commented. Was it because he was from the future? But even male jewellery was quite popular in his time there. Even if he wanted to do his best, he did not know how much was actually available to him. He even started wondering if he could incorporate female jewellery, but he was not going to get paid for inspiring jewellery designers. He thought as he mentally rolled his eyes.

u003cCan you show me commercials from my time? u003e Marcel asked Avian.

[Sure,] Avian responded and brought forward commercials that were taken at that time. He almost immediately noticed that commercials that targeted men did not have a story like the ones that targeted women. He sighed while feeling slightly frustrated from his current situation.

Alistair was already noting some ideas on his phone when he heard Marcel sigh loudly. He furrowed his eyebrows and looked up at him and saw that he was already sleeping.

He shook his head while wondering what he was dreaming about to make him sigh the way he was. Was it the Liam he had been calling the previous night when he was drunk?

He smirked with a bit of amus.e.m.e.nt when he saw him frown in annoyance. He lifted his phone and took a picture before he even realised it. He had already captioned it to post it before stopping himself in time.

He had gotten so used to how he would normally post things he found amusing to share with his fans, but he realised that he would need permission from Marcel to do so. It was his turn to frown in annoyance once he thought about it.
