26 Plan

When Marcel opened his eyes he saw Liam sleeping on his back his guard completely lowered, his mouth slightly open showing the gap on his lower teeth. Marcel smiled helplessly when he saw how deeply asleep he was before he too woke up and went to the bathroom to wash up.

He then came back to their room to wake Liam up. Liam didn't fuss and obediently woke up and went to the bathroom to shower. Marcel quickly got dressed in a pair of jeans and a white t-s.h.i.+rt before he prepared Liam's uniform.

When Liam came back from his shower he couldn't look at Marcel since he was still embarra.s.sed with the scene that he caused the previous day. He really didn't want to go to the dining hall that morning.

Liam looked at the clothes on his bed and looked up at Marcel. Marcel had started preparing his uniform that week, he thought it was a one-time thing at first but he kept doing it.

Before, he would have to wake him up and Marcel would take him to the dining hall to get his food before taking him to school and he'd go back to the orphanage to sleep. He was even bathing more often than he did before. Liam thought it was strange but he didn't know how it was strange.

"You had homework yesterday?" Marcel asked as he remembered the scene of Liam focussing on his homework that Avian had shown him the previous day.

"Mmh" Liam answered and took out his book from his bag to show Marcel. He knew his brother was not the smartest person around, but he should be able to understand the work given to a seven-year-old right?

If Marcel knew that Liam thought his intelligence was barely pa.s.sable he would have cried. If he had actually invested his time in studying in his previous life then he would have been at the top of his cla.s.s.

He was pretty smart and since he had started acting at 15, he had taken cla.s.ses that were mostly artsy since those were the ones that would allow him to attend the top performing arts universities in the future.

He had always been the top of his cla.s.s even though they were only a few students who took the same subjects that he did during high school, and he had also managed to get a scholars.h.i.+p into the best performing arts university, all this happened while he was still accepting jobs.

That was where he learned about music, dancing and acting since they still had to perform musicals for the cla.s.sics that had already existed for centuries.

In short, he was not like the previous Marcel. Even though the hardware was the same, the software had changed he was not stupid at all. As long as he is not compared to the eccentric Avian.

"You're so smart," Marcel said with a smile and ruffled Liam's hair messing it up in the process.

Liam wondered whether he should really be happy from a compliment from Marcel, but he smiled anyway making Marcel pinch his cheeks. At the end of the day, Marcel was a woman at heart, it was really hard for him to resist pinching the boy's cheeks.

"Marcel! You messed up my hair!" Liam complained while feeling aggrieved. Marcel paused as if to register that he had not been called big brother.

"Marcel?" he asked and chuckled when he watched as Liam ran away from him to redo his hair.

"Let's go for breakfast," Marcel said and resisted the urge to ruffle the boy's hair again. It was a really addictive action.

Liam picked up his school bag and the two of them went to the dining hall. Marcel told Liam to go find a seat and he went to get the two of them breakfast.

Marcel placed the food in front of Liam before he took a seat next to him, and the two of them ate in relative silence, mostly because Liam was not very talkative in the first place. They quickly finished their breakfast and Marcel escorted Liam to school.

"You need a haircut," Marcel said as he touched Liam's hair. It had grown out and had started to look messy, even though he tried his best to cover it up.

[So do you] Avian chimed in. He had been so silent in the past hours that Marcel had forgotten about his existence.

"We'll go get a haircut together after you get back from school," Marcel said and Liam looked up at him with his clear eyes before nodding his head.

It didn't take long for them to arrive at the school and after saying his goodbyes, Liam walked into the school gates. Marcel watched him until he couldn't see him in the sea of children. He then turned around and made his way back to the orphanage.

He had a plan that involved George Finning. If he did not clearly state to him the repercussions of messing with Liam, he might as well give up on the boy.
