55 Zephyr Primary School

She didn't notice it until her whole cla.s.s was using her face as memes in their group chat.

Her expressions and reactions were recorded by her fans and made into various memes, and the meme format ranked in the top ten for a whole week.

Even Ji Yue couldn't help but worry and joke about it when she learned about it.

While Liu Qian was ordering her food, Ji Yue couldn't stop herself and asked. "Hey, you didn't have any snacks before this, right?"

Jiang Feng and the Healthy Restaurant became a trend on the internet as people began to make hashtags about the incident while mentioning Liu Qian in the posts.

Liu Qian's fans on Weibo skyrocketed to 500 thousand people as companies began to approach her for advertising opportunities.

The live-streamer who was known to ignore her viewers became a live-streamer that almost died from overeating.

Time flew, and the day for the volunteering event arrived.

A group of A University's students boarded the bus early in the Sunday morning with their eyes barely opened and headed to Zephyr Primary School.

Wait… Ain't this Zephyr Primary School?

Jiang Feng was surprised when he got off the bus and noticed the luxurious school gate and a row of maple trees.

Since most voluntary events would be held at either schools in the countryside or at orphanages. They could even just offer drinks to the cleaners on the street. Jiang Feng was stunned when he saw they were going to volunteer at an elite primary school.

Compared to the best privatized primary school in all of A City, Jiang Feng believed that they should be helping schools in the countryside instead.

"Did the driver make a mistake? Why are we at Zephyr?" Jiang Feng asked Liu Qian as he fell asleep on the bus and did not hear what the Student Council President had announced.

"The President said that the sixth grade of Zephyr is hosting a group of old people," Liu Qian said.

Jiang Feng instantly understood the content of the volunteer event for this year. They were going to help primary school students to help take care of old people.

Jiang Feng could tell that it would be a hard task to complete.

When everyone got off the bus, the Student Council committee began to separate the students into groups.

"We will be separating all of you into three groups," one of the committee members said. "The first group will be handling all three meals in the kitchen, the second group will be cleaning the campus grounds, and the third group will be performing for the old people. Are any of you good at cooking?"

Jiang Feng, Liu Qian, and Wu Qimin raised their hands instantly.

The member took a look at them and smiled.

Isn't that Jiang Feng? The one with the restaurant? Good! And Liu Qian is famous for eating while live-streaming, so she must be good too. And the other one… I think she's in the Jiang Feng's club too, right? She should be fine.

"All right! The three of you will be in charge of the kitchen! The students and teachers of Zephyr will be a.s.sisting," the member nodded. "Next is the cleaning group. Who's interested?"

When the member announced that Jiang Feng and his club members would be in charge of the kitchen, all four members from the Housekeeping Club dropped their jaws.

Since when did the Chinese Chess Club become the Housekeeping Club?

When Jiang Feng and his club members arrived at the kitchen, the teachers and the students were already working.

It seemed as if they were well organized. A kid who was only half Jiang Feng's height was standing on a stool and stirring a pot of plain congee that wasn't boiling yet, while a dozen kids were moving around with ingredients in their hands. Four female adults were handling all the cutting. It wasn't as chaotic as Jiang Feng thought it would be.

Jiang Feng couldn't help but sigh at how well mannered the kids at an elite school were.

But seconds after that, the kid that was stirring the pot dropped his ladle into the pot.

"…"

The kid tried to take the ladle out of the pot, bending almost half of his body into it.

Jiang Feng grabbed the kid off the stool and prevented a tragedy from happening.

"You don't have to stir the congee when it's not boiling yet," Jiang Feng smiled. "And kids shouldn't mess with fire either."

The kid looked at Jiang Feng, then at the pot with disappointment in his eyes.

"I joined the volunteer event because my parents wouldn't let me cook at home…" the kid sobbed.

"…"

"Liu Chengxing! Stay away from the fire!" one of the teachers that were closest to Jiang Feng scolded the kid and turned to two other little girls who were hugging packets of flour. "Xiang Jingwen! Hu Xuehui! Put the flour back!"

"…"

Yup, the well-organized kitchen is just an illusion…

"You must be the students from the A University, right? I'm Ms. Chen, the teacher in the blue s.h.i.+rt is Ms. w.a.n.g. The one in the black jacket is Ms. Zhou, and the other one is Ms. Zhou too," Ms. Chen introduced.

"Ms. Chen, are you making pumpkin congee?" Wu Qimin asked as she noticed the teachers were cutting pumpkins.

"Yes. The theme of this event is 'The Bittersweet Past'. That's why we will be making simple meals for everyone. I think we have a little over 200 people here today. Oh, the pumpkins are all organic. We grow them in our own farm."

Helping the old people while letting them remember about their bittersweet past…

Jiang Feng was utterly speechless at the theme.

"Let me handle the cutting. These pumpkins are cut too big, they won't be soft enough when the congee is cooked," Wu Qimin said.

Before Ms. Chen could say anything, Wu Qimin had already taken the knife and had begun to mince the pumpkin that Ms. Chen had cut.

"Do you have any sweet potatoes here?' Wu Qimin asked. "These pumpkins aren't sweet enough."

"Y… yes!" Ms. Chen replied as if she was s.p.a.cing out before and turned to the two little girls playing with potatoes. "Chen Xi! Chen Mengqi! Stop playing with the potatoes! Come and help us get some sweet potatoes from the storeroom!"

The students stopped with what they were doing and ran towards the storeroom.

"I can handle all of the cutting alone," Wu Qimin said, implying that the work that the teachers had done was redundant.

The other three teachers also stopped their movement and stared at Wu Qimin dumbfoundedly.

Jiang Feng and Liu Qian also have the same expression as the teachers.

I… I don't think there's anything here for us to do…

Everyone told themselves as Wu Qimin started to prepare all the ingredients.

Seeing Wu Qimin doing everything on her own, Jiang Feng began to wonder if it was decent for them to slack off in the kitchen while the other students were busy with their own tasks outside of the kitchen.

And then Liu Qian took her phone out and started to live-stream.

What the heck are you doing?
