The roar was like a tidal wave that was filled with indomitable might, sending tremors throughout the entire northernmost region.

All of the powerful abyssal beings behind Demon Sovereign were very alarmed to hear this roar.

Even though they didn't possess dragon bloodlines, they were still struck by a sense of fear and awe that stemmed from the very cores of their being.

Another dragon's roar rang out, and this one was more delicate than Tang Wulin's, yet it complemented his roar perfectly. The two dragon's roars reverberated through the sky for a very long time, while Tang Wulin and Gu Yuena's auras were elevating rapidly.

It was as if they were trying to express something that had been weighing on their hearts for a long time through their voices, and they were casting aside all of their past inhibitions.

Tang Wulin reached with his left hand to grab onto Gu Yuena's right hand, and their auras began to evolve.

swept across the entire battlefield, and two beams of light, one golden and one silver, erupted directly into the heavens, as if they were attempting to illuminate the entire Douluo Continent!

Demon Sovereign's expression finally changed slightly upon seeing this.

She was already able to assess that Tang Wulin and Gu Yuena were quite powerful, but she also had absolute confidence in herself. No matter how powerful the opposition was, they would only possess Divine Origin realm spiritual power; there was no way their soul power would've reached the godly level.

Even Guan Yue had only been able to attain godhood for an instant, which wasn't enough to pose a threat to her.

However, as Tang Wulin and Gu Yuena's roars complemented each other, she finally felt like something was amiss. To her astonishment, their auras had already exceeded the quasigod level, and on top of that, Tang Wulin had the Sea God's Trident in his possession!

Tang Wulin held Gu Yuena's hand as the two of them rose up into the air, and their golden and silver dragon wings presented a dazzling combination to behold.

They were simply a match made in heaven, and Qiangu Zhangting awakened just in time to see this, upon which he was instantly infuriated to the point of fainting again.

Qiangu Dieting couldn't help but heave a long sigh at the sight of his hopelessly enamored great-grandson. He looked up at the sky and thought to himself that perhaps the biggest mistake that he had ever made was allowing Qiangu Dongfeng to target Shrek Academy.

In the wake of the Shrek City bombing, there was simply no way that Shrek Academy would be willing to let bygones be bygones. All he could hope for was that all of his efforts would be of help to the Spirit Pagoda and the Qiangu Family.

However, looking at how close Gu Yuena and Tang Wulin were, there was a good chance that she would join forces with Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect, in which case it would be extremely difficult for the Spirit Pagoda to stand on its own in the future as an independent power.

Qiangu Dieting could only look on with a resigned expression.

All this time, they had been racking their brains thinking of ways to stop the Shrek Academy rebuild, but never did they think that there would be a hidden thorn in their side all along.

In the instant that Gu Yuena killed the Spirit Sovereign, Qiangu Dieting immediately knew that she had already cemented her position as chairwoman of the Spirit Pagoda. Not all of the powerful beings of the Spirit Pagoda viewed Shrek Academy and the Tang Sect as their enemy. For them, what was most important was their own interests and the interests of the Spirit Pagoda.

With Shrek Academy's rapid resurgence, it was clear that becoming their ally would be far more beneficial than becoming their enemy.

The only thing that Qiangu Dieting could derive any shred of gratification from was that Qiangu Qingfeng's branch had departed before things had gotten out of hand. Following this battle, the branch of the Qiangu Family in the Spirit Pagoda most likely really would become a part of history.

At this moment, Demon Sovereign also flew up into the sky, and a giant sector of purplish-golden light appeared behind her, opposing the joint aura of Tang Wulin and Gu Yuena.

Of course, the allies accompanying her were all abyssal creatures. Eight powerful abyssal beings followed along behind her, and each of them was giving off a different aura.

Among them, the one with the most powerful aura was an abyssal ruler standing beside Demon Sovereign with purple light emanating from his body.

In contrast with Demon Sovereign's purplish-golden aura, his aura was a purplish-blue color, and he was wearing a suit of purplish-blue armor.

Furthermore, he was wielding a weapon in the form of a giant halberd.

It was impossible to see his face under his helmet; only a pair of glowing purple eyes were visible.

The fact that he was standing alongside Demon Sovereign was already a clear indication of his status.

In the abyssal plane, he was ranked even above the Sage Sovereign as the ruler of the third abyssal level, and he was known as the Fierce Sovereign.

Now that the Spirit Sovereign had perished, it could be said that he was currently the most powerful being among the abyssal army.

Demon Sovereign appraised Tang Wulin and Gu Yuena with an intense gaze, then turned her attention toward Shrek's Six Monsters and Sima Jinchi.

In terms of overall power, this team didn't even seem as powerful as the previous one, but Demon Sovereign knew that this team of nine was very likely going to be even more troublesome to face than the previous one, and the main reason behind this was the duo of Tang Wulin and Gu Yuena.

She could already sense that Tang Wulin and Gu Yuena were capable of unleashing power superior to the sum of their individual power. Otherwise, their auras wouldn't be enhancing one another so significantly.

"This is most likely going to be the final battle," Demon Sovereign said in a cold voice.

Indeed, the outcome of this match was definitely going to have a massive impact on the state of this battle. The human army still had many Limit Douluos among its ranks, but if Tang Wulin and Gu Yuena couldn't defeat Demon Sovereign, then no one would be able to stop her.

Tang Wulin replied, "That's right. The abyssal plane has tried to invade our Douluo Continent countless times; after the conclusion of this battle, we'll be sure to travel into the abyss to hold the Holy Lord accountable for his actions."

"Oh? It seems that you're very confident that you'll be able to defeat me," Demon Sovereign said as she raised an eyebrow.

Tang Wulin smiled, and replied. "Indeed, we are; this is the day when the Holy Spirit Cult comes to an end!"

Demon Sovereign burst into laughter upon hearing this. "Alright, let me see where your confidence is coming from. Rest assured, even after I kill the two of you, I'll make sure to extract your souls so you can watch as I devour this world and kill all of your friends and loved ones. Seeing as Tang San has already given you his Sea God's Trident, that means that there's no way he'll be able to come back. I'm sure he'll be able to sense it when I kill you; it's a real pity that I won't get to see his reaction in person."

A derisive look appeared on Tang Wulin's face as he harrumphed coldly, "It's a pity? You make it sound like you would really dare to face my father."

A cold look appeared in Demon Sovereign's eyes upon hearing this. "It's time for you to die!"

The purplish-golden light around her erupted forth in a frenzy as she spoke, forming a devastating wave that surged directly toward Tang Wulin and the others.

Tang Wulin raised his Golden Dragon Spear, and Shrek's Six Monsters and Sima Jinchi quickly formed a line behind him. Gu Yuena hesitated momentarily before also adopting her position behind Tang Wulin. Thus, the nine of them formed a single straight line with Tang Wulin at the forefront.

In terms of teamwork and chemistry, no one could exceed Shrek’s Seven Monsters. They had been through countless hardships together, and even their suits of four-word battle armor had been created by one another.

They were a single unified entity, and there was no need for any verbal communication; just a simple gesture was enough for them to know what they had to do.
