"Ah, I'll go check on Little Tiger..." Li Na hastily spoke as she tried to avoid the suppressing aura of the man on the couch. She had got enough of his attention for today.

But just as she slightly turns to leave, Lu Jianjun's cold voice obstructed her. "Did I allow you to leave?"

"Achi..." Li Na sneezed loudly before she turned back and caressed her frosted nose though her entire body had turned cold. 'd.a.m.n, Why do I have to lose my temper? And jump straight into the argument. Mei Xing, did you forget your anger management lessons? Just Breath...' she pondered before she sneezed again. Lu Jianjun's eyes narrowed at the little beasty who was just a while ago serving him a tough att.i.tude trans.m.u.ted into a feverish flushed-red bunny.

She tried to suck a deep breath but cursed inwardly. 'f.u.c.k this! How am I supposed to practice breathing with a blocked nose? Such nonsense.'

It couldn't be entirely her fault. She frets about Little Tiger as if she was bound to get impulsive regarding the child. Only she knew her struggle when it comes to controlling her temper as it seldom took soaring flight. She wasn't obvious to trigger but what fl.u.s.ters her is the lurking doom and uncertainty on the people she cares about and who loves them. That set of thought literally p.i.s.ses her off to the point that she gets unpredictable to herself forget about others.

Yet again, Li Na involuntarily riposted. "B-But Little Tiger..."

"Butler Wu can handle him." came a crisp reply.

"Lu Jianjun, H-He was crying..."

" And who made him cry. Do you even know how much efforts were required to pacify a child to sleep?" Lu Jianjun stated gritting his teeth, suppressing his fury. Once Little Tiger began to throw tantrums no one, literally, no one other than Lu Jianjun could handle the boy but the required efforts, perseverance, and resolve are incomprehensible.

Frantically, Li Na shook her head. She has no insight or skills especially in this particular field of parenting a kid.

's.h.i.+t, Are we doomed?' She gulped hard before she glances at the half-naked man standing next to her who was quivering like a leaf in the storm hanging in there to be blown away. ' Yup, we are.'

Are we going to be punished equally? Is there some consideration for a female culprit?

Li Na peeked at Lu Jianjun expectedly, but his stormy eyes gave away any hopes for her. he seems to be thinking of a suitable punishment for both of them.

Suddenly, Li Na thought of an idea. She turned towards the s.h.i.+vering leaf as she blurted out.

"I'm sorry." She apologizes to Lu Jun-hui looking at Lu Jianjun and raising her voice before she bows her head slightly. "Lu Jun-hui. I'm sorry."

Shocked, Lu Jun-hui just blinked a few times and amusingly watched her. 'Did she just said sorry to me and bowed down? But why?' Unable to interpret her intentions.

"It's alright." Lu Jun-hui replied hugging his arms.

Li Na raised her head and gave Lu Jun-hui a deadly stare. But still, he seemed clueless.

'Surely an empty chicken-head. Useless!'

Doesn't he know when two disputed parties resolve their own issues mutually they don't have to go to the third party? or to say simply

'Idiot, he wants to be punished and later blame me. Fine by me.' She turns to the man sitting on the couch with a stoic face and deep gaze planted on her as she said pa.s.sively,

"M-Mister Lu, your brother is not apologizing, even when he was the one to start the argument. He is the root cause of the problem. I was wrong so I said sorry but he's not ready to accept his fault." Li Na pointing her index finger towards Lu Jun-hui.

"Huh??" Lu Jun-hui felt like her pointing finger was a gunpoint for him. He looked horrifyingly at her, and shocked to see her wickedness."W-What??No, I'm not. And why should I say sorry to her? I didn't ask you to say so? I'm not apologizing to you." He would rather kneel at his brother's feet and begged for mercy than bowing his head to her.

And he expects her to do the same. Dream on! Li Na squinted her eyes.

"Oh really, Lu Jun-hui, even I didn't ask you to argue with me or just throw all the blame on me. But you did that, effortlessly. So, take your share of responsibility, Second Master Lu? Don't cry like a child. I'm not your mommy to excuse you. " Li Na accused him while she s.h.i.+fted the entire blame on him. Then she looked at Lu Jianjun as if demanding fairness. Undoubtedly, She got her hands off, of the blame by apologizing first.

Knowing that Lu Jianjun is the head of the Lu family and Lu Jun-hui is his brother whereas she is just an outsider, so obviously, Lu Jianjun going to make the final decision. Besides, Li Na was additionally giving Lu Jianjun a choice to be a headsman between two disputed parties asking to be a fair judge rather than be a torturer without hearing the trail. Although she was more than sure Lu Jianjun won't let her off the hook easily after what she did to him early.

But looking at Lu Jianjun's dark expressions, she wasn't sure if he had caught her smartness or took her bait which just made her uncertain heart hammering loudly.

"Jun!hui! " Li Na's heart skipped a beat at the coldness in his voice whereas Lu Jun-hui was ready to kneel.

'100% sure. He won't let me go easily.'

"Apologize," Lu Jianjun's word might seem like convicting Lu Jun-hui but his dark eyes were staring at Li Na, held some ominous glut of the ocean that she couldn't understand. "Now," he said lastly.

'He took the bait!' Amazed, Li Na became voiceless.

Lu Jun-hui seemed to hear this as a death sentence for his ego and pride. He gulped down the painful hurt before he bowed down to her and a meek sorry barely reached up to Li Na's ears. She doesn't know why but she felt guilty without a reason. Was it that hard for Lu Jun-hui to say sorry? If so then, you should have played along.

" It's fine, fine, we're good," she said quickly and brush it off.

" Okay, then. It's all even between us. So, I'll go to see Little Tiger. Just in case, Elder Wu needs some help or a.s.sistance." Li Na hurriedly said and dash off inside before Lu Jianjun could reply as no.

On the contrary, Lu Jianjun just watched her departing back.

" Brother, I-" Lu Jun-hui opens his mouth to say something but zipped it again, seeing the thunder.

"First, get your clothes on! And bring the file of Zhang Corporation." Lu Jianjun roared and Lu Jun-hui nodded frantically before disappearing along with the wind like a shredded leaf.
