Chapter 66: The One To Be Lu Jianjun's Future Wife

" If you didn't admit that means I'm correct. You were startled. Hmm, How would Little Tiger react knowing his father got scared by his mother. Ah, I'm sure he'll admire me for that, What do you think? " She spoke out her mind without a care as he threw a displeased glance at her and she wiggled her fine eyebrows at him. Her lips curved into a jaunty smile.

Certainly, the girl was unaware of her charm and how adorable she was looking now, all wrapped up only her flushed creamy face revealed like a fair shrinking bunny m.u.f.fled with a blanket too bad though the man wasn't interested nor in the mood to play with her now.

Lu Jianjun replied as a matter of fact, "It would be better to see the ghost." he pinched the s.p.a.ce between his brows having an ailing headache.

'Uh-Huh! Does he think I enjoy seeing him, Tsk!' Li Na's eyes squinted as she snorted.

"Of course, I can relate with you, Mr. Lu" she retorted pa.s.sively before turning her back upon him, folding her arms on to backrest of the sofa lowly mumbling to herself.

"He was disturbed seeing me. Seriously, am I that bad." Her mood was instantly dampened as her smile fell off. "d.a.m.n, this man is such a joy killer. Tsk! Not interested, definitely not my type of person to talk with." She just sat there not wanting to turn back and see his face again. 'If he can't like my face why should I torture myself looking at him!!' as though the inside interior of the living area was better and pleasing to look at than the dark gloomy sky and the cold iceberg sitting behind her back. Perhaps throwing daggers at her now.

"Good Morning, Mr. Wu." she greeted the old butler, who happened to appear from the living area stepping into the balcony door. Li Na spoke to the old man with the same compa.s.sion as she greeted Lu Jianjun earlier.

"Oh, you're awake. Good Morning, Miss." surprised to see her awake and sitting with Lu Jianjun, the old man politely greeted her as he placed a tea set tray on the table and graciously offered a smile to her. Li Na beamed and her smile widened to see the only person who hasn't held any prejudice against her from the beginning.

Concurrently, Li Na also turned to face the butler behaving as if, only they were present and no other third party is present who happened to be seated right in front of her.

Li Na didn't meet Butler Wu initially as the old man is solely responsible for Little Tiger's care. Taking the little boy out and accompanying him. And Butler Wu was occasionally spotted doing odd ch.o.r.es for Lu Jianjun whereas he had to inform or notify about Little Tiger.

Li Na grinned, with Butler Wu's kindness and calm temperament she could sense the old man's fondness and affection towards kids. He's just the perfect man for looking after Little Tiger.

The old butler poured a cup of tea and placed it near Lu Jianjun's laptop as there were no austere formalities between the Young Master and Elder Butler. Then he turned to ask her. "Miss, What would you like to have?" he asked her ever so gently that Li Na held her hand on her chest as if she was moved by his words and wrinkled smile. Honestly, she was fanned over him for his kindness and unbiased nature towards her. Who doesn't like good people with the world plenty of bad ones?

"Oh, don't bother so much. I'm fine with tea. And please, Elder Wu, call me Li Na. I'll be happier." Li Na replied with her twinkling eyes.

"Miss Li..."

"Just Li Na." Li Na immediately interrupted the old man. She wasn't habitual of an elderly person talking so highly to her. Even her mother, Li Jiazhi was so severe with her twin daughter that their old nanny was also allowed to punish the twins if they were caught behaving wrongly. That's why despite belonging to a high-cla.s.s family, they were never pampered in a spoiling or any critical way. If they made a blunder, only they were responsible for fixing it. Moreover, Mr. Wu is of her grandfather's age. It feels awkward and false hearing an old man presenting her useless honor.

"Mi-" the butler hesitated but Li Na firmly shook her head in disagreement. Mr. Wu laughed and said, " Ok, only Li Na," to which she nodded in acknowledgment.

"Li Na, I'm afraid this tea has the taste that you won't like to try. How about I'll bring you something sweet." the old man kindly warned her as if telling her not to taste this poison.

"Oh, No-No, don't worry. I've got used to bad tastes," she said as she was eating those horribles dishes how bad could be a cup of tea.

" So, why can't it be my cup of tea." She looked at the man remembering the first encounter in the rain where he had mocked her over a cup of tea. Her eyes narrowed at the Lu Jianjun's teacup as she thought how bad a taste could get.

Hearing her words, as if something strikes him Lu Jianjun raised his head to see the grudge against him in her eyes but set on his teacup as if he had s.n.a.t.c.hed it from her.

"From the past weeks, I'm well accustomed to bad tastes of food. I won't feel good or sweet if I trouble a kind person like Elder Wu, for a mere cup of tea. But thank you for asking." she humbly denied.

At this point, there was a glint of past memories flashed in Butler Wu's old eyes, who had witnessed and served more than fifty years of his life in Lu family from his young age. The old man smiled at Li Na while cheris.h.i.+ng the fond memories of a princess whose eyes held the same frankness and purity as Li Na's but was an entirely different color.

Naively like all others, Butler Wu had also thought that she would be the one to be Lu Jianjun's future wife despite their major differences but sadly their paths separated in the end and she never returned. Sometimes, the old man does wonders if she no longer cared about them since she was gone even Lu Jianjun never spoke off concerning her anymore as if she never existed. Without her, their happy days faded not to return but this time Li Na is giving him hopes again. Butler Wu had seen Li Na for the past weeks and she had not only behaved well but she also mingled with others joyfully.
