"Although, I have always wanted to have a fantasy life, this is not what I thought it would feel like." Tian's voice whispers through the room and disappears like the wind.
Even if this was real or not, Tian felt the urgency to leave this place. She could feel the danger and threats lingering around her in the dark. There was no room to be scared in her heart. The only thought that kept pounding her head was "Escape". Escape now. Runaway. Even though it will be hard, Tian was not willing to give up this easily.
A light knock on the door knocked Tian out of her thoughts. A young lady in the outfit of maid appeared at the door. She looked around the same age as Tian. Maybe 17.
"My Lady, his Highness asks for your presence at the table." The girl spoke softly.
Tian looks around the room to see if anyone else was there. When she couldn't find anyone else around, Tian pointed at herself: "Me?"
"Yes." The girl nods her head.
The maid moves away from the door and walks towards the cupboard. She opens the cupboard and pulls out a white dress. The dress sleeves were made from the net and red colour embroidery in different patterns covered every inch of the sleeves. The dress was the long length and was made of silk. A little bit of embroidery traveled from the arms onto the neckline and the chest of the dress.
The dress was amazing. It was kept in perfect condition like it was never worn by anyone before. The maid moves towards the bed and puts the dress down.
"Who is this dress for?" Tian's voice was filled with curiosity. She wanted to try on the dress but then again, this is something you wear for special occasions.
"It is yours, My Lady."
"Mine?"
"Yes. His Highness prepared this for you."
"His Highness?" Tian looked confusingly at the maid. Who was this Highness? As far as she knows there is the only Prime minister that makes the decision in her country. A King or a Queen no longer exist.
Are these people living in some sort of fantasy?
"Where is the toilet?"
"It's this way, My Lady." The maid guided Tian to the toilet that was attached to the bedroom.
The toilet was in a large size as well. The bathtub was ma.s.sive and the whole bathroom shone in the colour of white. Tiny products like soup and shampoo were in red colour. The bad tub was filled with foam and rose petals.
Tian could feel the excitement down to her bones. This was like winning a lottery without even buying the ticket. A loud scream broke through the silence in the bathroom. Tian realized it was her voice. The maid had put her hand on Tia's' shoulder to take the dress off but instead, Tian had pushed her away. To her surprise, the maid didn't get mad but instead, she was s.h.i.+vering in fear.
"What are you doing?"
"I am sorry, My Lady. I was just... trying t..to help you ba...bathe." The maids' voice sounded scared.
"It's okay. I can do everything myself. Please wait for outside."
Tian walks towards the sink and picks up the toothbrush. She brushes her teeth while being lost in thoughts. She takes a shower in the bath. While showering, Tian thought of many different strategies to escape. Many different reasons as to why she could be here but none of it made any sense.
After the shower, Tian wraps the bath towel around herself before leaving the toilet. The maid was stood directly beside the bathroom door. Ever since she came out of the toilet, she hadn't dared to move an inch from her spot. The maid looks at Tian and then looks back down on the floor.
"Umm... why are you here?" Tian asks the maid.
"His Highness instructed us not to leave your side."
Tian lets out a sigh and moves towards the bed. The bed had already been made and the room was in perfect condition. How long will this go on before?
"Let me dry your hair, My Lady." The maid pulls out a dryer from one of the draws and plugs it into the switch that was hidden behind the dressing table. One thing for sure, this was defiantly the 21st century.
"I can..." Before Tian can even finish the sentence, the maid speaks urgently.
"Please let me do this, My Lady. It is our job."
Tian sits down on the stool in front of the dressing table. The maid dries Tians hair gently. She then brushes them neatly and makes a braid which rested on Tian's chest. A few of the hair was set loose on the front of Tians' face and the beading was added into the hair.
Tian was not bothered by the dress that she wore or the hairstyle that the maid did. The only thing that bothered her was the strange pair of purple eyes. Familiar yet unfamiliar.
After getting ready, the maid led Tian out of the room and towards the dining hall.
Surprisingly, everything was normal outside. The corridor was filled with large gla.s.s windows and the brightness filled the corridor. There was a beautiful garden filled with different flowers outside and in the middle of all this was a large fountain. Everything s.h.i.+nned like something straight out of a fairy-tale.
The maid stops in front of a large door and stands aside. Tian walks towards the door and with the slight touch of her hand, the door opens widely. There he stood near the window. His dark black hair and as soon as he turned around. His eyes glistened like they were finally satisfied with something.
"Why are you just stood there? Come in." His voice sounded cold but warm.
Tian walks towards the dining table. There were only 2 chairs on the table and they were facing opposite to each other. The table was small unlike what Tian thought. She pulls the chair and immediately sits down. No matter what, she was starving.
Qin chuckles in the corner and walks towards the table and sits down. Tian grabs the toast and starts eating it.
"You are accepting things quite quickly. Aren't you?" Tian stops eating the toast and glares at Qin.
"If you think that I am just going to sit quietly and accept everything as it is. Then you are wrong." Tian continues eating the toast.
"I don't expect anything less from my Tian."
"Who is your Tian?" Tian glares at Qin again. "Let me tell you one thing: I don't belong to anyone except myself."
Qin looks at Tian amusingly, but Tian tries her best to look intimidating.
"Although I may not know what's happening and who you are, I am not going to give up this easily."
Qin looks at Tian and then picks up the cup of tea.
"What do you want to know? I will tell you everything, but you should not wander around."
Tian picks up the cup of tea and starts to drink it as well.
"Are you a vampire?" Tian pays close attention to Qin's face but finds no emotion.
"We are not Vampires. It is just a name that humans gave us."
"But what about your fangs? You are exactly like what I read in the Dracula or any other vampire books..."
Qin frowns and then looks at Tian gently.
"Our existence and the so-called legends wouldn't have been exposed to the humans it wasn't for my older brother. What you read is merely the tiny truth."
Tian looks at Qin confusingly. Nothing made sense.
"Sorry, I shouldn't call him older brother. The name you will be most familiar with is Dracula."
"What do you mean? Dracula? Your older brother?"
Tian tries to find any hints on Qin's face but nothing except sadness flowed in his eyes.
