"brotheeeer, wake up!" the voice resound again in Neo's half conscious mind. but louder than the first.

"Broooother! waaaake up!"

a sudden pain a.s.saulted Neo's stomach.

"oooof!..."Neo's m.u.f.fed grunt reverberate the whole room. after opening his eyes lazily, he saw Alice, on sitting on top of his stomach.

Neo stared in his little sister with half open eyes,

"5.. more... minutes" he said in a deadpan voice, before closing his eyes once, again to resume sleeping.

"brooo~ther!, just...wake....up....already!" Alice stands up, before jumping towards Neo stomach, with even greater force

*piak"

"aaaarrrrrrg" Neo eye, almost come out of its sockets, from too much pain.

"fine!" Neo stared at his sister angrily who is still sitting on his stomach ,smiling smugly.

Neo grabbed her by the waist and lift her out of his stomach and put her on the floor, before standing up and stretching his sore body.

"so, why did you woke me up Alice?"Neo asked. raising his eyebrow.

"the pretty sister with gla.s.ses, just visited us this morning. she gave me some cute clothes, and she said, that i need to give this to you" Alice pulled a paper from her pocket and gave it to Neo,

the woman that Alice, is talking about migth be Sharon.

inspecting the paper given to him by Alice, Neo saw the map of the fortress, and on the upperside of the map, there are words written , *come to the Building H5*

after inspecting the map, Neo saw where Building H5 is located, looking at the clock on the wall, he learned that its only 6:25 in the morning, he still got time to prepare.

"Alice, lets have breakfast!" Neo said towards Alice who started playing with her pet, fluffy the furat.

"but, aren't we conserving food?"Alice asked with confused look.

"that was before, but now, that the food here is plenty, we don't need to conserve food anymore," Neo smiled.

"really!"Alice yelp with sparking eyes.

"of course" Neo answered in a matter of fact.

"Yey!".Alice jump from joy.

looking at his sister smile, Neo promised to himself that no matter what happen, he will do anything in his power to protect his sister Precious smile.

after cooking and joining his sister in breakfast, Neo took a shower before changing his clothes into white t s.h.i.+rt and jeans.

looking at himself at the mirror, he pulled his s.h.a.ggy unkempt black hair upward and took a look at his average looking face.

"i should find some time to cut this hair" Neo murmured.

Neo put on his new combat boots. before walk next to the door of the house.

"Alice...I'll be going now"

"be careful Brother!"Alice answered.

"you too, dont run around the fortress too much" Neo warned.

"kaaaay!"Alice said energetically

after that, Neo proceed to the building-H5 using his map,

after few hours of walking later, he found the three storey building with the tag H5 above it , there is also a huge sign board with the words SR Mission Center .

walking inside, he saw the room full of chairs and tables, as revolutionaries are sits in there talking to each other.

after Neo walked inside the building, he felt gazes, sizing him up from the crowd of evolutionaries ,

ignoring there gaze, Neo saw woman decoding in a computer in middle of the back side of the first floor.

feeling that she might be able to help him, Neo walked toward the girl. she has a black wavy hair, a fine and beautiful face, and a slender body figure.

"why are all the female working here, are all beautiful? "Neo thought in his mind, as he walked towards the girl.

"excuse me, im a new revolutionary, i was told to come here?" Neo asked.

hearing this the girl turned his head towards him.

"ummm, yes i was expecting you...er-" the girl check one of her folders

"Mr, Neo Jones...you are a.s.signed to be a LHF-N1 Scout Ranger. take this letter and go upstairs, a man will give you, you're equipments, after that return here " the girl gave Neo a small receipt.

nodding his head, Neo grabbed took the letter and walk upstair,

walking inside the room with the tag name armaments on top of the door, he was greeted by a thin old man, with bald head,

Neo hurried pull the paper given to him and showed it to him.

"hmmm...a new recruit?" the old man asked raising his eyebrows.

Neo nodded his head.

"you look like a weakling, i don't know if you could survive your first mission here. but i hope this ,will atleast give you a figthing chance" the old man took a camo overall and handed it to Neo.

"this is the Scout Ranger combat uniform or SRCU, made from tough organic materials, it can reduce the damage that monsters could inflict to its wearer.

this can also protect you from being detected easily by mosters, while keeping you safe from other abnormal phenomenon like acid rain, if your too unlucky enough to encounter one."

hearing this Neo was amazed how great the SRCU was.

the old man also gave him a metal belt with multiple pockets, a smart phone, and a copper circular badge with the words Scout Ranger,

Neo untied his shoes and wore the SRCU.

Neo likes it alot , because of its was acid proof property, he could just pull the zipper up to cover his mouth and nose, then put on its hood. then his ready to travel even when the acid rain starts.

he also put the belt in his waist, and zipped the smartphone in one of its pockets.

grabbing the badge he attached it the SRCU left chest area, where a badge holder is located.

"are you an elemental type?, if not you can pick a weapon there" the old man pointed a weapon rack, where there are only melee weapon available.

"can i have a gun instead?" Neo asked the old man.

"our fortress has a limited amount bullets, which is reserved for civilians to defend themselves, if the fortress somehow face a disaster" the old man said in deathpan voice

"umm...ok" Neo nooded, he then, goes to the weapon rack and pulled a steel spear with steel handle.

he wants a to have a weapon, because figthing with the twin shadow blade will open a wound in his forarm that will painful during and after a figth. and he pick a spear because of its range advantage and penetrating power.

"nice weapon choice kid...now that your all geared up... good bye, and please dont die, those equipment are expensive." the old man grumbles.

Neo smiled bitterly, before nodding , as he walk downstairs.
