54 Don't Leave Me

"Calm down, am opening" I said a little loudly for Fred to hear

Opening the door, I saw Fred half carrying Robbie over his shoulder.

"Yo grandpa, we have reached" Fred said jerking Robbie who looked dead.

I quickly put my arms around Robbie's other free arm to support him inside. My nose was a.s.saulted by a strong smell of alcohol. The smell was strong enough to get you intoxicated. I held him round the waist and found that his hands and legs were numb. He looked half in sleep.

"Tony..." I heard him murmur

"That's all he's been saying ever since collapsing after getting dead drunk" Fred grumbled, "That's why I carried him here"

"Do you know why was he drinking in the first place?" I inquired wondering if his father and he had a row

"Nope. He appeared out of nowhere and kept ordering drinks until he collapsed. I feel like he had taken my old man's restaurant for a bar and me as his nanny" Fred complained, pouting like a kid.

I laughed seeing his child like expression. It is so unbelievable that such a huge built man can actually act like a kid. But then again he was only 24 years old and had lived a pampered life. It would have been odd had he acted all adult and mature.

We both put Robbie on the couch where he lied down with shoes on, his brows were still creased and face was twisted in a troubled expression.

"What is up with this, old man? He is always so high and mighty, how come he looks so shrunk up like a shriveled up prawn?" Fred frowned eyeing Robbie's miserable state

"Maybe, he had some family issue. You know how this rich family works" I shrugged

"Hey, don't say that" Fred said, his head hung and looking a little embara.s.sed

I instantly regretted my words. I completely forgot that Fred belonged to the so-called rich family too, and my careless words might have indirectly pointed him too.

"Sorry! I wasn't trying to demean you or your family" I hastily said, putting a hand on his shoulder

Fred gave a non committal shrug and said in a moody tone, "Take care of the grandpa. Thanks to him, I didn't get to check my accounts"

"Yes" I smiled

He returned my smile and waved me good night as he left shutting the door. I sighed. Sometimes my mouth really can cause hurt to others. I should be more mindful of what am speaking.

"Tony..." I heard Robbie mumble again

I can't help feeling a little tickle in my stomach on hearing my name being mumbled by the unconscious Robbie. I quietly took his shoes off, pulled off his coat and loosened his tie. for him to have a better sleep. While doing all this I can't help imagining him drinking fully dresses in formals. It felt weird to even think that scenario.

"Tony...I won't leave..." he mumbled something again

I looked at his face which was still twisted in a troubled expression. Unconsciously, I stretched out my hand and smoothed his creased eyebrow. Feeling his smooth Olive skin in my palms after so long ,I kind of felt nostalgic. Unintentionally, my fingers started to trace his facial features, reaching for his hair line, which was covered in a thin line of sweat, then slowly reaching for his thick shapely eyebrow, his beautiful petal shaped eyes, his long black eye lashes, his hooked smooth nose and finally, his perfectly shaped thin pink lips. As I traced his lips, my heart suddenly started beating fast. I had the sudden reckless desire to place my lips over those soft pink slightly parted lips. Robbie mumbled something again, making me feel the softness on my finger and I immediately moved my hands off.

In just a month a lot has pa.s.sed between us. I never would have imagined Robbie to be back in my life and even more so that he would acknowledge his wrong and want me back in his life. I was and am still not sure how much of his words were true, but I had decided to give him another chance. If he was sincere, then my son would not have to live deprived of his father's love and will be able to enjoy the protection and shelter of his father. I guess even my life would get better had I get my bonded Alpha beside me.

I sneakily took a look at Robbie's face again. Even after eight years of parting, this guy still looks as handsome as he looked when he was 17. I sat down on the floor, leaning on the couch looking at Robbie snoring softly as he drifted to a slumber. His movement made his hand being thrown out of couch's side, hanging down loosely. I saw his pretty hands with long slender fingers, almost touching the floor. In a moment's impulse, I held it and slowly interwined my finger with his. Like a bashful fair maiden, feeling shy on first time touching her lover's hand, I somehow felt the same as a slight red tinge came over my neck and cheek. It felt almost laughable to feel so, when I have had gone ahead and had a kid with this guy.

I brought my knees together and placed my cheek over it looking at our linked hand and then the words which I had not said to him ever even when he rejected me, seem to flow out of my mouth, as if I couldn't hold them back,

"Robbie, Don't leave me!"
