Chapter 80 A Certain Winters Day

Uu, just when I thought it was cold

When I looked out the window, there was a silvery landscape as far as the eye can see.

Although snow hadnt fallen since the New Year began, with half a month gone by, it seems like such a long time.

It was gratefully accepted when it snowed in December because of its novelty, but the happiness disappeared after it continued for a while.

Rather, its quite a hindrance to everyday life.

After all, rather than a little, before its able to melt, the next one starts to fall and piles up, so the snow piles up to over one metre when theres a lot, you know?

Thanks to that, I must shovel the snow when I leave the house, the water service also freezes over because of the morning cold.

When that continues for several days, the dreadfulness exceeds the joy, you see

Luckily, today it has only piled up several centimetres, but as I feared, the water service has frozen over.

Although its fine since I can sorcery, what do the other people do, I wonder?

Which reminds me, I have heard that in the cold regions of Japan, in order for the water services to not get frozen, they only leave a small amount of water in it or something.

For even colder regions, they have things like devices which makes the water pipes unable to be frozen.

Shall I also leave a small amount from tonight?

For now, Ill need to do something about the coldness of the room. If I had a thermometer, it would surely indicate the room temperature is below freezing point.

I operated the stove magic tool, and ignited the living room fireplace.

Ah, the stove magic tool, when it had began to turn cold, I had the magic tool dealer, who I purchased the freezer from, create it. Although it had been completed half a month ago, because it consumed a considerable amount of power, its still within the scope of improvement.

However, its fascinating how its able to start heating up immediately after operating. Its called a stove, but its more like a fan heater, I suppose?

Right now its used as a filler until the fire in the fireplace gets going, but if the fuel consumption improves a little bit more, it may be better to use this as the main. Its also great how it can be easily carried around. Its usable even in rooms without fireplacesne.

Shall I suggest akotatsumagic tool next time?

Without delay, Eru curled up in front of the stove magic tool.

And I too, until the room warms up, I hugged Eru and warmed up by the stove.

Mofu mofu~(Soft~)

Ni~.

Burying my face in Erus fur, I enjoyed the warmth.

I feel Eru somewhat dislikes it, but we shall ignore it.

Frommofumofuingand squishing the cats paw, the owner was calmed down with a cat punch which meant Im working! Because of this, any sort of selfishness is permitted, even though I feed him, it isnt an exaggeration!% In other words, Eru is currently in the middle of working! Only, because she will resign her work if I go too far, caution is necessary.

While having my fill with Eru to a certain extent, the room also warmed up.

So finally, I began preparations for breakfast.

By the way, things like early morning running on these sorts of days are put off. Forcibly exercising, even if I dont slip and injure myself, my eyes will still get affected.(note: sunlight reflecting off the snow)

The adventurer business is also put on hold for the same reason. Days

with snow or rain are basically spent relaxing.

With breakfast done, there is cleaning and laundry, many things to do.

Let us finish the laundry first

Laundry in the winter is difficult. Splashing in water as cold as ice

Well, I have a magic tool to create hot water though! Lukewarm water tends to remove dirt easier.

It would be convenient if there was a washing machine but If its a two-part washing machine, could it be made into a magic tool? If the washing and drying was separated, I think it may be possible.

When the laundry was done, I went to hang the clothes to dry.

Affixing a rope by the only fireplace in the living room, I hung the laundry there.

The overflowing laundry dangled around, is in a way, a magnificent viewne.

But this sort of room, I wouldnt show it to other peoplenee

After the laundry was done, next was the cleaning.

I cant just clean only the first floor like I always do, at times like this, let us also clean the second floor.

However, its tough that my cleaning tools are only a broom and dustpan, and a dust cloth as a dusterne

Im not asking for steam cleaning machine, but I just want a vacuum cleaner.

Could I make one as a magic tool? As for the functions, the generated strong wind could be altered into a powerful absorption, but other mechanical functions like a filter is also necessary If I have the chance, it may be good to have a think about.

When doing manual labour like this, I realize how immensely convenient Japan was.

Laundry as well, it easily gets washed if you toss it in a washing machine, the rinsing, evaporation, even drying gets done by itself, even cleaning, the persistent stains easily gets removed by steam. If there was a vacuum cleaner, dust would get instantly collected as wellne.

But thats nothing but asking for too much right now
