Even though Jason said that he wanted to copy the Spiral path puppet's techniques, this was easier said than done.
Not only was the way in which it used its spirit force extremely accurate, and in a detailed manner, but it was far more complex and also quickly utilized.
Through the speed with which the puppet circulated spirit force through its body, it did something complex, and overlapped it with more spirit force, before multiple more layers followed suit.
Meanwhile, the old layers of its circulation were replaced, creating something within the puppet's body that Jason could only describe as chaos.
But at the same time, Jason realized that each layer of the spirit force it used turned into an exquisite piece of art that was required to complete the exerted technique.
Because he understood this quite fast, both Jason and Spyro were trying to figure out a starting point, from which they would be able to start copying the technique.
Once they were to start, and slowly get the hang of everything, it was only a matter of time before he would be able to adjust the copied technique in order to move freely.
Every single movement led to enormous changes inside the body, which was also something Jason knew owing to his perfect mastery over the Floating Sky movement technique.
Under normal circumstances, he could start altering the Floating Sky movement technique, but in order to achieve this, it was necessary to know his body perfectly.
This included the necessary changes in his mana circulation once he made a particular move.
It was not impossible for him to alter a movement technique after having used it for several years.
But Jason found it a waste of time to alter the Floating Sky movement technique and it was more convenient and hassle-free to replace it with a different technique once he found one.
In the end, it was just a Terra ranked technique, and even with alterations, it was unlikely for this technique to reach the standards of a Heaven ranked technique.
Testing its potential for months would thus be useless for him.
However, that couldn't be said for Spyro, who was currently solely focused on cultivating and did nothing else.
This was boring, and once cultivating lost its appeal, one's concentration decreased drastically.
Because of that, Jason had always tried to switch between cultivating for a few months and fighting.
Sometimes he was both impatient, yet at the same time patient, and his mindset was difficult to explain to others.
In the past, he thought that his soulbonds were the cause for his mindset to be like that.
To some extent, it might not even be wrong, but Jason was not bothered by that.
Instead, it allowed him to be closer to his soulbonds, which was quite advantageous.
Nevertheless, Jason didn't even realize how time flew by while he focussed on the Spiral path puppet's spirit force circulation, while it duplicated its body.
The puppet kept charging towards him, and beating Jason up, before returning to stand beside the other puppets.
Beaten and bruised, Jason would approach it repeatedly, requesting a new spar.
As this endless cycle continuedhours.days..and weeks flew by.
Happy to have finally found the method, Spyro repeated that process, and its entire spirit force was immediately used up.
As the two watched in awe, an unmoving Spiral Spirit appeared next to it.
Despite the fact that the seemingly useless Spiral Spirit duplicate was unable to move, both Jason and Spyro were exhilarated.
All their efforts had finally bore fruit as they finally achieved something they had hoped for. Spyro learned his first technique which he could continue learning and improving in order for Jason to reconsider using it in fights.
This made the two of them happy, and even the other soulbonds were overjoyed, thinking that an advancement in Jason's strength would be a great reinforcement.
Yet, before Spyro would be able to make proper use of the technique, it first had to learn how to move and control its duplicates, which was not easy.
There were all kinds of tricks it could make use of, and without hesitation, Spyro returned to the soul world.
It started to train relentlessly, owing to the next goal it aimed to fulfill- learning the technique as quickly as possible without neglecting its cultivation.
This was probably impossible to do because the cultivation progress would decrease, but that was fine with Jason as long as his soulbond learned a great technique that it could use to make him stronger.
Solaris had already been testing and experimenting to increase its strength since his days on Argos, and the black Dragon flame, as well as the Frozen moonlight flame of the Glacier Dragon were the results provided by the black origin flame.
Meanwhile, Petri had never even tried to learn any kind of technique because it was a physically attributed beast with curses.
Yet, those curses could probably be enhanced in a way Jason enhanced them using his mana to crudely increase their strength.
It should definitely be possible to find a more exquisite, detailed, and less energy-consuming way to enhance the curses.
Thus, he and Petri, both had been racking their brains to figure it out.
As for Artemis, she was by far his strongest soulbond, but since her evolution, she hadn't even bothered to think about comprehending the true use of the moonlight affinity.
Additionally, she had also ignored it to further improve her understanding of the ice affinity.
She was only focusing on strengthening everything innately in order to achieve the highest possible strength without the necessity to reinforce her affinities' potential.
Thus, she completely ignored trying to figure out a way to enhance the freezing property of her ice, or how to use her affinities.
He knew that Artemis was focusing on cultivating in order to strengthen him, which was why he remained silent.
However, now that he witnessed how powerful those at the same cultivation base as him could be, his mindset was slowly changing.
But that wasn't the case with Artemis who was completely unbothered.
She had simply cultivated for the entire time, focusing on the creation of her third large rotating crystal before she continued to accumulate the necessary mana in order to create the dome crystal.
Yet, in order to reach the necessary number of accumulating a million liquefied mana drops, Artemis would require at least two years, which was already extremely fast.
Unfortunately, she stubbornly continued to cultivate without trying to improve her control over her affinities or create new attacks that would allow him to reach a higher combat prowess.
Thus, Jason decided to focus on Petri for the moment and tried to increase his prowess along with his own.
There was no need for him to waste any time doing all of this because he just had to show his current highest combat prowess.
Nevertheless, before the cultivation environment would be unlocked to him, Jason felt that using the five puppets to increase his own strength and that of his soulbonds was the best he could do.
They were the strongest opponents he had fought until now, and their cultivation base was on par with his own.
In fact, their liquefied mana was probably even stronger than his, while the same could be said about their crystals.
If that wasn't the case, it would make no sense for the puppets to be innately stronger than he was, even after his soulbonds enhanced his strength.
However, what Jason didn't know was that their cultivation was exactly the same as Jason's.
Their liquefied energy was compressed with three times more energy than one would usually require, while one of their prismarine crystals had the same potency as four common prismarine crystals!
Yet, there were not only cultivation techniques, but also other means to strengthen one's entire being, which was something Jason had yet to recall and make use of once again!
