Chapter 37 - I Promised Her, So I’m Going To Do It

"Erm… Then what about Miss Fu?"

"Is this the time to worry about how you should greet me? What did you put in Xiuyuan's soup?"

s.h.i.+ Jin had put gastritis medicine into the soup. In reality, she had started to occasionally place it in Fu Xiuyuan's food now when they ate together. However, gastritis needed a long time to recover, so the effects of the medicine remained subtle for the time being.

s.h.i.+ Jin said, "It's gastritis medicine."

"Everything that you say is bulls.h.i.+t! Why would I believe this nonsense?" said Fu Heyan furiously. "Take it away! I don't need this hypocrisy."

"Big Sis… Miss Fu, I won't hurt him."

Fu Heyan looked at her in contempt. "Then drink some of that soup first."

s.h.i.+ Jin unhurriedly poured out a bowl of soup and finished it all.

Fu Heyan was caught by surprise. However, she was incapable of leaving Fu Xiuyuan in s.h.i.+ Jin's care.

She waved her hand. "Leave! Leave this instant! I don't want to see you!"

s.h.i.+ Jin got shoved out along with the soup, and had no choice but to leave first.

She did not blame Fu Heyan for her att.i.tude. After Fu Xiuyuan first brought s.h.i.+ Jin home, Fu Heyan welcomed her with open arms because her little brother finally fell for someone. She eagerly gave s.h.i.+ Jin a lot of gifts in the hope that they could be friends.

s.h.i.+ Jin did not appreciate her efforts. Instead, she damaged her beloved piano and the jade bracelet that her husband gave her on the day they were married.

Fu Heyan finally could no longer tolerate s.h.i.+ Jin and became enemies with her.

In her past life, Fu Heyan came running after s.h.i.+ Jin and Fu Xiuyuan after they got into a fight, but ended up getting into a traffic accident and broke her hand.

Fu Heyan was an internationally renowned pianist. Ever since she got into the accident, she was unable to play piano.

Thankfully, even though s.h.i.+ Jin had already damaged her piano and broke her bracelet, Fu Heyan had yet to get into an accident.

s.h.i.+ Jin could not help looking particularly relieved when she looked at her long slender fingers.

Since s.h.i.+ Jin felt guilty towards Fu Heyan and wanted to make amends, she did not take it to heart when Fu Heyan spoke harshly to her.

Fu Heyan went inside Fu Xiuyuan's hospital ward. Even though she treaded gently, Fu Xiuyuan opened his eyes slowly.

After he woke up, he looked sideways and ripped the IV from his arm without hesitation.

"Fu Xiuyuan, what are you doing?" Fu Heyan hurriedly covered the blood oozing from his arm.

"Going home to have dinner with s.h.i.+ Jin."

Fu Xiuyuan pursed his lips and wanted to leave.

Fu Heyan pulled him hard. "What dinner? It's only 5:00 pm? Also, you already pa.s.sed out. How could you think of s.h.i.+ Jin at a time like this?"

"I promised her, so I'm going to do it." Fu Xiuyuan was unmoved.

Fu Heyan was terribly annoyed with him, but Fu Xiuyuan had a stubborn nature and no one could change his mind once he was set on it.

Fu Heyan happened to be equally stubborn and refused to see eye to eye with him.

Fu Xiuyuan Fu Heyan, "Mr Song, can you get s.h.i.+ Jin to come back? Oh G.o.d! She will be back in no time. Can you at least sit down?"

Fu Xiuyuan was slightly stunned. Had s.h.i.+ Jin already come?

Even though s.h.i.+ Jin promised to leave, she did not go far. By the time Song Fan came chasing after her, she was still in the corridor.

"Miss s.h.i.+, Young Master has regained consciousness. He wants to see you." Song Fan was furious with her, but he could only speak courteously.
