Shampoo does a great job at cleaning our hair, but it leaves it dry. This apparently leads to hair loss and skin flakage, but I've never noticed any of that.

There are also quite a few different types of conditioners for different types of hair. There some for fine hair, thick hair, dry hair, and oily hair. And what they do is counteract the dry/oily, thicken the fine, and support the thick hair.

Hair conditioner isn't used like shampoo. Don't scrub it in. Just run it in and leave it whilst was.h.i.+ng the rest of your body. Also try to avoid the roots and focus on the lower older hair. For the full effect, you should leave the conditioner on your head for an extended period of time, the longer the better but a minute is enough.

Apparently you should also dry your hair before you use conditioner and based on the type you might just leave it in or need to wash it out later.

Leave in conditioner (the type you leave in) is also very helpful if you want to style your hair and can even help create a wavy effect.
