An expert dressed in white analyzed the freshly acquired surveillance footage.

Everyone compiled their opinions in the end and took a look at a woman in the corner who was dressed for combat, then said, “Chief Ming, what we have gathered so far suggests that he is not one we can take on by force. However, we can, no doubt, get him to our side. The man seems to be on his own, unlike some hidden clans.”
“I understand.”
The woman simply nodded and continued, “You can now all head outside. Yun Sheng, you stay behind.”
The crowd left the room. Yun Sheng, the Chief of the Fu City Special Task Force stayed behind.
“Chief,” Yun Sheng said.
The woman looked to be in her thirties; she was very good-looking. However, she oozed formidability and looked extremely capable.
She was the provincial boss of the entire Special Task Force of Southern Min, Ming Yueyao.
Ming Yueyao clasped his shoulder with her hand and said, “Good work this time. I had a good time, all thanks to you.”
“Just doing my job,” Yun Sheng said right away.
Ming Yueyao then continued, “I’ve miscalculated things this time. I didn’t expect they would have sent a National Guardian to rescue their own, and I almost put all of you in a ditch.”

“If it hadn’t been for Lu Xuan, you all would’ve probably died then and there.”
Yun Sheng opened his mouth, but no words came out. It was just as she put it—they had all indeed been lucky the night before.
“Now that Lu Xuan is a special consultant of the Fu City branch, what do you think of him?” Ming Yueyao asked.
Yun Sheng paused for a long time before commenting, “A young man of immeasurable prowess.”
He had been thinking for quite a long time, and no other response seemed apt.
“I’ve looked into his background, and everything looks normal. From what I was able to see from his records, he was a common guy all the way from elementary school through college. Yet, from the looks of things, he probably inherited some kind of lineage that we didn’t know of, and he has been hiding his training all along.” Yun Sheng continued, “Judging from the prowess and talent he’s showcased so far, he didn’t look like someone who has been training since young. Ming Yueyao frowned hard when she heard that. The first Spiritual Tide.
