Chapter 901: As the world reshuffled
Of course, Lin Ziyi had known where the Impetus Lake was. It was the place where the Spiritual Eyes of the Tempest Ocean Realm had piled up in a cluster. Because of that, the lake had become the eye of the storm.
The spirit qi around Impetus Lake was violent, forming impenetrable gales. Even those at the Consolidation Realm had to take extra caution in there. Anyone below the Consolidation Realm who got too close would be shredded into pieces by the spiritual storm.
Not long after she had just attained her realm, she had gone to the lake to survey a new base for Holy Nun Gate. There were abundant spirit qi—ten times more than any other places—yet, because of its abundance, it wasn’t suitable for the inhabitance of any living creatures.
The Impetus Lake didn’t even exist in the first place. Under the high pressure of the spiritual storm, it had a portion of the spirit qi compressed into liquid. Thus, the spiritual liquid had formed a lake in the middle of the storm.
The advantage of establishing their base there was that they got to enjoy the copious spirit qi. Cultivation would be efficient—making half the effort and producing twice the result. Hence, it was why many infamous sects would claim over the many mountains and rivers on the continent.
Though that was the case, Impetus Lake wasn’t as favorable because of its spiritual turbulence. Even an elite of the Consolidation Realm couldn’t have dealt with the torrent. It wasn’t that people didn’t know—if they could groom the spirit qi within, it would have thrived as a Cultivation holy land. The problem was that no one could do it. And this was a fundamental issue.
It didn’t seem like Lu Xuan didn’t know anything about Impetus Lake from the looks of it. Based on the short time she had known him, he also didn’t seem like the person who’d be making heedless decisions—he must have his plans and capabilities.
Lu Xuan grinned. “That’s correct. Is there a better place other than here?” This place would have been a disaster for others, but he didn’t think so. With his skills, many formations could have suppressed the raging Spirit Eyes within the lake, bringing them under control to be of his use.
“Probably not. If you could deal with the savage spirit qi, this would become the best land to Cultivate. I do believe that you’ve already found the solution, my friend.” Lin Ziyi said. Unknowingly, she had started calling him her friend and not just calling him on a name basis.
“Then I shall take my leave. I have to go and handle the mess there,” he said.
“Please see yourself out, my fellow Xuan,” she said.
As he bid goodbye to Lin Ziyi and his two sisters, Lu Xuan had immediately left the Holy Nun Gate, heading straight for the Impetus Lake. It was near, and it didn’t take long for him to arrive. Before he got close, he could sense a frightening hurricane forming from the violent spirit qi that would engulf everything.
Still, it hadn’t affected him. The Chaos Heaven Stabilizer Bell above his head had continued to spin, suppressing fluctuations of the spiritual qi. The bell itself had possessed spatial magic—no matter how fierce the spiritual storm was, he couldn’t have been bothered.
He inspected the lake—it was the same as it was from his past life. And with his experience, he could effortlessly determine where the formation eyes were. Then, he took out pieces of his cultivation treasures from the Sky Ocean Secret Realm, placing them at the formation eyes he had identified.
As the formation gradually took shape, the spiritual storm had gone down. So did the torrent of aggressive spirit qi, and everything had returned to its tranquility. But even so, the density of the spirit qi here was ten folds higher than on the outside.
When the storm had passed its calm, followers from the Holy Nun Gate had come over with all kinds of materials needed to build his new base. Although the Holy Nun Gate foundation had a far lower spiritual connotation compared to Xuanhuo Sect, it was still a holy land for Cultivation. They had easy access to any building materials required to establish a base. In addition to that, a large number of Holy Nun Gate disciples had offered their help, and their affiliated forces had contributed immensely.
Somewhere in the Tempest Ocean Realm, Yunxuan Villa rose at a remarkable speed. Unlike the conventional construction methods of using science and technology, the productivity of building construction through Cultivation was astounding. Case in point: to construct a perimeter wall, a magic-user would only have to cast an Earth Magic spell, thus, a shorten construction time.
While Lu Xuan was engrossed in the development of the Yunxuan villa, the entire stormy sea realm had plunged into great turmoil. As the Tempest Alliance Convention had come to an end, the aftershock was just the beginning of everything.
The members of the Five Consolidations were about to be reshuffled. The murder of the Vice Sect Leader of the Xuanhuo Sect, Li Shou, had caused an upheaval among its territories. Even the upper management of the Xuanhuo Sect was facing an internal conflict themselves, lest the outside world. The same went to the Steel Knight Association.
The members of the Steel Knight Association were enraged about the murder of their president, Yang Zuxin, by Lu Xuan. However, what Lu Xuan had revealed earlier—that Yang Zuxin was a spy planted by the Great Demonic Deity Of The North—was even more of a shocker to them.
Had Lu Xuan been an ordinary Earthling, it might not have been enough to make them believe his ridicule. But it was the contrary. Lu Xuan was now a top-level elite after Xuanhuo Sect Leader. Because of his strength, they couldn’t help but take his words seriously. Even if there was only a one-in-ten-thousand chance that what he had said was true, they must treat it in all seriousness.
Every contact would leave behind a trace. As people began to shift their suspicions onto Yang Zuxin, the truth could no longer remain concealed. After his death, his influence had grown so weak that nothing would have stopped the investigation. Except for the few of his trusted aides whom he had entirely brainwashed, most of his followers were only loyal to him for his courage in fighting for humanity in the front line.
When more and more evidence would point to the fact that he was a spy, people wavered. Without the interference of his followers, the investigation went smoothly, and soon the upper management had found conclusive evidence, proving that Yang Zuxin was a spy planted by the Great Demonic Deity Of The North.
For a moment, the association was in an uproar.
Many people didn’t want to believe what Lu Xuan had said, but now, he was right after all—their president was a spy. People were left dumbfounded. It was all a hot mess. Had they not conducted this investigation, they wouldn’t have known. They couldn’t recover from the shock, knowing the outcome.
It had come to their realization that their enemies had infiltrated the Steel Knight Association long before—they were deflating like a balloon. Penetrated their defense network was, they could no longer sustain a single blow from any outside forces. If the Great Demonic Deity Of The North had gone South, they would have been subjugated, conquered over one night.
