Three years later, at the central gates of the Immemorial Path…
Somewhere within the sect, Lu Xuan asked Liu Haotian, “That’s how it is for the most part. Have you remembered the points about the Advent of the Thunder Dragon move?”
Liu Haotian replied, “Yeah, I’ve remembered all of it.”
Lu Xuan nodded in satisfaction. Liu Haotian was of born Taoism aptitude and had unmatched talents. Having undergone total transformation through the spirit of the sacred ancestor in the Sacred Ancestral Stele, his powers were boosted even further.
His talents had been even more refined since then, so much so that one could’ve said that he was able to remember everything he picked up.
He was able to easily comprehend and remember any spell, martial art, and method he was instructed with. He was also able to easily apply points of certain matters to that of others, enabling him to easily pick just about anything up.
He was basically the type of genius disciple that would please every teacher out there.
All he had to do was keep practicing.
Lu Xuan added, “Off you go then, I’d need to train in isolation soon enough.”
Liu Haotian bowed and replied, “Yes, uncle.”
Lu Xuan had Liu Haotian by his side almost every day for the past three years, instructing the boy personally. He had never been as diligent when instructing his sisters as when he was instructing the boy.
Liu Haotian didn’t disappoint him, either. His powers had grown by several times over within the past three years and had reached the first tier of the Divine Treasure Realm several months ago.
Lu Xuan was sure that by the time Liu Haotian became an adult, he would at least be at the peak of the Divine Transformation Realm. With all the methods that Lu Xuan left behind for him, it was entirely possible for him to be capable of the Three Flowers at One’s Prominence.
That would have made him something else altogether.
Liu Haotian had fought just about every single young fighter throughout the entire Immemorial Path over the past three years. Except for the likes of Shi Buyi, who was far older than Liu Haotian, those who were of his age or even those over a dozen years older were no match for him.
He had gradually cemented his might and reputation, garnering a massive following in the process.
Everyone was able to see that as long as Liu Haotian didn’t perish, it would have only taken him years to ascend to the role of the next sectmaster.
Several elders and grand elders from the sect had high expectations for Liu Haotian. Many of them even thought that Liu Haotian would definitely lead the Immemorial Path to new heights in the future.
The boy’s powers might even surpass that of Xuanyangzi, reaching the legendary Consolidation Realm.
As such, many of the grand elders and elders had arranged for their juniors to stay by Liu Haotian’s side.
Someone with the mettle of becoming the successor to the sect’s leadership was born within just those three years.
That was the way that many of the sects and clans went about things. They allowed potential candidates to quickly take control of their respective sect or clan once they ascended to the position of sectmaster. This would’ve not only allowed them to garner a massive following, but to also ensure that the transition of power goes smoothly.
The boy had at least begun to look the part, primarily because someone extremely formidable was supporting Liu Haotian.
The footage of Lu Xuan fighting and eventually killing Feng Qingming had spread all across the world. After watching it countless times, nobody doubted Lu Xuan’s capabilities.
Other than being a personal disciple of Xuanyangzi, Liu Haotian would owe the rest of his current renown to Lu Xuan.
He wasn’t renowned only towards those from the Immemorial Path; many other forces out there also saw him in the same light.
The former prime candidate, Shi Buyi, had also grown more powerful within the past three years. He had stepped into the eighth tier of the Divine Transformation Realm; he was now only one step away from the ninth tier.
Even though it was only a matter of time before he became capable of the Three Flowers at One’s Prominence, the possibility of him ascending to the position of sectmaster continued to dwindle.
Most people knew that.
Lu Xuan had finally entered private training again and decided to leave after those three years.
Over the past three years, he dedicated himself to teaching Liu Haotian the ways of cultivation. He even passed down the forms and methods of the Innate Sacred Sutra.
It was time for him to leave and find a new place where he could grow further.
The forces of the Immemorial Path had spent the past three years hunting down the remnants and remaining members of the Divine Blood Church.
Given that every single one of them was a titan in their own right, the Immemorial Path’s forces had a hard time with them.
Although they looked as powerful as they could get, those titans might’ve been hiding even greater powers, after all.
The weakest among those titans were at the ninth tier of the Divine Transformation Realm level of powers, yet they were the best to found at such a level; a vast majority of them were at the peak of the Divine Transformation Realm.
That was because only those who were at the peak of Divine Transformation Realm were truly considered official members of that organization. Anyone who was in a lower level of powers were only considered honorary members.
The standards set by that organization in their recruitment were utterly baffling. The requirements were so absurdly demanding that even the Immemorial Path wouldn’t be able to fit the bill for recruitment.
Then again, it all made sense considering what Feng Qingming was capable of. It was only natural for his underlings to be anything but ordinary.
At first, the elders of the Immemorial Path had a very hard time dealing with those people. It was even common to see some die in the line of duty.
Things only began to shift in the sect’s favor when the three titans of the sect –Xuanyangzi, Xuanzhenzi, and Ximen Xingye– personally acted.
It was especially so in Xuanyangzi’s case, whose powers reached the Three Flowers at One’s Prominence. Regardless of how powerful the members of that organization had been, none of them had been able to resist being hunted down by someone at such a level of power.
Xuanyangzi was practically bullying them into submission.
Xuanzhenzi and Ximen Xingye both also reached Three Flowers at One’s Prominence in just a year afterward.
Xuanzhenzi had been able to conjure the Spirit Flower as well. Despite being younger than Xuanyangzi, the age difference was still rather small.
Despite having made up for his shortcomings and making it to the peak of the Divine Transformation Realm, being at an advanced age meant that he was still unable to conjure the Auric Flower. Thus, he had no choice but to first settle with conjuring the Spirit Flower.
On the other hand, Ximen Xingye was much younger than both Xuanyangzi and Xuanzhenzi; he was still in his prime. As such, while his spirit wasn’t as formidable as the other two, he had an easier time conjuring the Essence Flower still.
By then, there were already three among the Immemorial Path who were capable of conjuring the three flowers. Nobody else had ever gotten to their level.
All three of them went all out to hunt down the members of that mysterious organization. Their powers were such that it made hunting down those at the peak of the Divine Transformation Realm look like a walk in the park.
The three of them were able to go all out without a care. With Lu Xuan staying behind at the base to teach Liu Haotian, nothing could have happened to the sect itself.
There had yet to be anyone capable of matching Lu Xuan in terms of powers at the moment.
The three titans from the sect, having been at the endeavor for three years straight, finally took care of everyone on the list.
Lu Xuan’s renown had also grown to heights never before seen among the Immemorial Path within those three years.
While Lu Xuan was mainly around to teach Liu Haotian, the boy was so uncannily smart that Lu Xuan didn’t actually need to do much with the boy.
It was the others around who sought Lu Xuan’s tutelage instead.
