Chapter 721: Misunderstanding? There is No Misunderstanding. I Don’t need Reasons to Kill You Peopl
He was all infuriated and his eyes were bloodshot.
At that moment, a flash of the sword then descended from the sky as if it came out of nowhere. A shrill sound of air being sliced rang out throughout the place.
Pfftt!
That blast of light easily decapitated him, causing his head to fly off his body while his blood violently sprayed out of him.
He looked at his body being increasingly far away. His face was filled with shock and terror as if he couldn’t believe that he would’ve just died like that.
That Shield of Great Aether he clad himself with was no better than cardboard. He saw it being torn apart right away with ease before he saw his own just flying like that.
The place fell into a dead silence. The fighters of the Jiang Clan that were still shouting moments before were all rendered silent as if they were ducks being choked.
Everyone was stunned by how a blast of a beam of the sword from above just took the life of someone they knew.
Many of them felt the hairs all over their body stand as they broke out in a cold sweat. It was as if they had just been cast into an icy cave. What happened before their eyes was utterly terrifying.
That blast returned to Lu Xuan’s side as soon as it sheared someone’s head off, spinning about casually.
Only then did everyone around see the sword that was of faint, whitish gold color. It seemed to be wrapped in a glimmer of the sword. It dazzled so much that no one else could clearly see what the sword looked like. They knew that the weapon was some sort of divine item.
It became apparent that Lu Xuan had been able to use that sword to easily take out an elder of the Jiang Clan, who was at Divine Transformation Realm.
Lu Xuan stood up with the sword in his hand as he slightly raised his eyebrows. While he currently didn’t have even a sliver of Spiritual Aether protecting him, he still had an air of superiority, looking down at everyone who was beneath him.
Lu Xuan coldly said, “A mere elder who is not even at the highest tier of the Divine Transformation Realm dares to even talk about killing me?”
His words sounded icy cold, especially to those from the Jiang Clan. Lu Xuan looked just like some kind of devil crawling out of the depths of Hell.
They had never thought that someone could’ve been so powerful. They had never anticipated to have gotten on such a person’s bad side.
It was then that they realized why Lu Xuan dared to meddle in that particular affair. That was when they truly understood what he said before. He truly saw them as being beneath him. He could’ve easily disposed of the two elders of the Jiang family on a whim.
However, they believed that Lu Xuan was far too strange of an existence. Anyone who believed that he was formidable would’ve quickly noticed that there was not even a sliver of spiritual aether to be found him. On the other hand, anyone who believed that he wasn’t formidable had to contend with the fact that he just killed an elder at the fourth tier of the Divine Transformation Realm.
He had also just killed yet another elder of the same level with a blast of his sword.
He did everything so casually.
It would seem that anyone who was not even at the seventh tier of the Divine Transformation Realm would’ve been beneath his notice; they were not even worth being scoffed at.
That little boy named Liu Haotian looked at Lu Xuan from behind, his eyes filled with excitement and reverence. Even since he was left behind, he had never seen someone like that in years.
To Liu Haotian, Lu Xuan looked like he was some kind of building capable of withstanding any kind of natural disaster.
Aunt Liu tore through the branches on the ground. Her eyes were filled with uncertainty, not knowing who that young man was.
She was not even sure if that young man was a friend or a foe. Throughout the years, all those who remained from the Liu Clan had been betrayed and slaughtered more times than they could even count.
That was why she didn’t dare to easily believe anyone. She knew that the one that she needed to protect was of utmost importance to the entire Holy Sun Continent.
Jiang Tiansheng did his best to suppress the anger deep within him as he asked, “Sir, I believe that there has been a misunderstanding. Why would you meddle in the Liu Clan’s affairs?”
He desperately wanted to flay Lu Xuan where he stood, yet he was also utterly frightened by the formidable killing might that Lu Xuan just demonstrated. Jian Tiansheng could easily tell that Lu Xuan was anything but ordinary.
Everything about Lu Xuan seemed peculiar. He didn’t have any Spiritual Aether about him, yet he could command a sword of such power like it was merely an extension of his arm.
Jiang Tiansheng didn’t know whether or not Lu Xuan truly had any Spiritual Aether on him. However, Lu Xuan possessed such a terrifying primordial spirit that could even be made tangible, enabling him to interfere with reality using something ethereal. He could control a sword like that to such an extent.
“Misunderstanding? There is no misunderstanding. Do I need a reason to kill you people?” Lu Xuan raised his eyebrow and wore an uncaring smirk on his face.
Everyone from the Jiang Clan was infuriated. Lu Xuan made it very obvious that he saw them as being utterly beneath him. To him, they were mere insects waiting to be squashed.
A person could squash a bug if they felt like it without any reason to do so, after all.
That utter contempt that Lu Xuan demonstrated made all of them extremely enraged.
They seemed to have recalled that they had been doing such a thing to the mother and son from the Liu Clan, whom they betrayed in a whim without a reason to do so.
“What insolence. Surround and kill him!”
Jiang Tiansheng could no longer just stand around, knowing that there was no peaceful resolution to what was happening on that day.
Lu Xuan laughed out loud. “Hahahaha, how nice. Today, I’ll kill as many people as I want!”
The elders of the Jiang Clan all charged at him from all directions, having him completely surrounded.
Those people all moved so quickly that it looked as if they had just teleported.
He laughed and then roared. Terrifying soundwaves shot out everywhere around him right away, spreading out in all directions.
Boom!
The soundwaves instantly swept away all of the elders, who felt as if their blood was resonating with it and their bodies were about to be split open.
“Damn it, what kind of a roar was that?”
An elder of the Jiang Clan was forced to cover his ears, feeling as if his eardrums were about to be ruptured. They were just about ready to attack Lu Xuan. However, Lu Xuan managed to stop them all before they were able to actually do anything. It took only one roar for Lu Xuan to have almost reduced them all to minced vegetables.
This was the Golden Dragon’s Roar of Annihilation.
Without any support from the Spiritual Aether, the Golden Dragon’s Roar of Annihilation’s power was only a fraction of what it would have been. Otherwise, that one attack would have been enough to tear them to shreds where they stood.
At that moment, they all felt as if they were in extremely excruciating pain. They felt as if their innards were banging against each other and their blood was about to boil.
However, that was all that was needed.
That Golden Dragon’s Roar of Annihilation alone had bought Lu Xuan enough time.
That was when he instantly took hold of the Geng Metal Sword.
He stomped and shot out like a cannonball, coming right before one elder of the Jiang Clan.
Pfftt!
He brought the sword down. The qi of the Geng Metal brought about a radiant, silver-white flash before it cut that elder in half. The attack sent the remains of the elder’s body flying to the sides.
His Shield of Great Aether was utterly incapable of even resisting the attack. It was only then that he realized why the other two elders from before couldn’t withstand even a single attack from Lu Xuan. It wasn’t that they were too weak, but that Lu Xuan was too powerful.
Blood sprayed several meters high right away, making the scene looked utterly harrowing.
