Sheen and Wyn just follow her while smiling.
Bea's the most excited one about the get-together and even bought lots of foods.
"You don't have to rush into watching that movie, Bea," Wyn said while taking off his jacket as Sheen turns on the heater, "The night's still young."
Bea didn't listen and turned on the television and the DVD player, "I don't get why you have this typical T.V, Sheen. You can buy Smart T.V and watch movies online."
"Aside from the fact that I am not informed that there's such type of T.V, you know how much I love DVDs. I own a whole box of them and it will go to waste if I can't rewatch them," Sheen answers as she goes into the kitchen.
Wyn follows Sheen while Bea is focused on playing the movie.
"Why did you go home alone, Sheen?" Wyn asks as he reaches for teacups.
"I don't know, he said he has to buy something. I didn't get into details, it might be about work."
"Oh," Wyn looks at Sheen as she heats water for their tea, "Are you sure it's about business?" He unconciously asks.
Sheen just looks at him with a blank face.
"I mean..." Wyn rubs his nose, "Okay, I'm sorry but what if it's not about work?" He asks.
He knows that Sheen already knows what's running in his mind and lying about it won't be good.
Sheen just sighs, "I don't care. As long as he's not lying to me or cheating, that's fine."
Wyn nods his head, trying to be swayed by Sheen's reply.
"Anyways, why don't you guys be business partners? I heard you're putting up your own company here," Sheen looks at Wyn with a curious expression as the water boils in front of her.
Wyn looks at her, troubled, he knows what he should tell but that will only cause trouble and instead of replying he just smiled.
Sheen furrows her brows, "What? Is that a bad or good idea? I mean, you guys are working on the same product and you guys are friends, so why not?"
She poured the water into the cups and makes tea while Wyn just watches her silently, pretending that he hadn't had that talk with Clark.
"So, what do you think? Just consider, please. Our company is really great, I mean, I don't know how to sell it but you won't regret being partners with us," Sheen giggles as she put the teacups on a tray.
Bea, who's in the living room, squeaks, "Come on! It's starting!" she shouted.
Wyn and Sheen just look at each other and went outside to watch with their excited friend.
A few hours later, after finis.h.i.+ng two movies, Bea is already deeply asleep while laying down on one of the sofas.
The television is starting to play another movie when Wyn realized that even Sheen, who's sitting beside him, is already dozing off.
"Wake me up when it gets to the part where the mermaid got her tails back, that's the last part I watched," she said as she comfortably rests her head on the back of the sofa.
Wyn just nods and continued watching the movie, focused on the scene that's playing.
Without noticing, Sheen's phone received a message from Clark, asking her to come out of her place.
After a few more minutes, the scene that Sheen was talking about is starting, reminding Wyn to wake her up.
"Hey, the mermaid's getting her tails back. Wake... up," Wyn turns his head around to see Sheen's face close to his while she's leaning to his shoulders.
Her shallow breathing, her closed eyes, pink lips, soft cheeks, long eyelashes... everything that his eyes can see, made his heart once again, beat fast.
"Wake up," he whispers again, trying to wake him up from what he's feeling and to make Sheen open her eyes but she won't budge.
"Wake up or I'll definitely kiss you right now," he whispers once again.
Their lips are only an inch apart, and a single movement, he might end up landing on her lips.
As he tries to suppress his feelings, his hands are moving on its own already, touching Sheen's cheeks.
'I said I give up earlier but how can I give up that easily when the prize is this beautiful? How can Kady turn his head away from you? How can Blue give up easily? How did White end up having you alone?'
Wyn's thoughts flooded his mind, the movie that's playing in front of him now is disappearing and the only thing that's in his mind is the woman who's leaning on his shoulders, the defenseless woman he dearly adores.
'I'll give up this time...' he thought while staring into Sheen's lips, 'just let me have you for a second.'
Slowly he leans, his guilt starts to pile up but his feelings are weighing heavier.
Without noticing, the door opened as Clark slowly pushes the door.
He was about to call Sheen when he saw what Wyn was about to do.
His eyes went wide as he grips the doork.n.o.b tight as if he can almost break it.
The door creaked, jolting Wyn and waking up Sheen.
"What? What happened?" Sheen whispers while looking at Wyn whose eyes are glued to Clark, shocked and afraid.
Clark dashes inside while Sheen, after seeing that Wyn's staring at something behind them, looks back and saw Clark's angry expression.
His eyes are focused on Wyn, it's full of sinister and his jaw is locked while his hands are forming a fist.
"What..." Sheen whispers before Clark pull Wyn's collar.
"What were you doing?" Clark asks under his breath.
"Stop! Clark, stop. Let him go!" Sheen shouted, waking up Bea.
"I AM ASKING YOU!" Clark shouted while Wyn just looks at him.
"So this is the true Clark? The one who does not listen to anyone when he's angry? The one who jumps into conclusions?" Wyn answered with a mocking tone and smirk.
Sheen just looks at Wyn confused while pus.h.i.+ng Clark away.
Bea slowly gets up and froze when she saw what is happening between the two guys.
"You were trying to kiss Sheen, I saw it," Clark answered, tightening his grip, "Don't try to make it sound like I'm the wrong one here, Mr. Lee."
"Oh, no, I am not. I am just saying that you're a compulsive one. I was not trying to do anything, I just want to wake her up."
"Don't lie, I saw it," Clark was about to form a fist and punch Wyn when Sheen shouted, "Stop! He already told you. He was just trying to wake me up!"
Clark stopped but didn't look at Sheen as she continues to speak.
"I asked him to wake me up and I must've been hard to wake up so whatever you saw, he was just trying to do what I asked him to."
She's still pus.h.i.+ng the two men away from each other while talking but Clark didn't listen.
"And why is a man staying at this hour in your place? You're engaged!" Clark shouted and pushes Wyn away, making him fall out of the sofa. "You are engaged and if someone sees this, what will they think?"
Sheen looks at Clark in disbelief of what he is saying.
He looks p.i.s.sed enough to make him point his fingers at Sheen while saying those words.
Bea stands up and held Sheen's arms, "Boss, stop."
She knows that he has stepped out of the line, this is where Sheen's limits are and he is stepping outside.
"Don't get involved, Bea," Clark called her off and looks directly at Sheen. "It's past midnight, no... it's morning already and you are with a man, sitting on a sofa in a dark room, defenseless."
Sheen didn't move an inch, she just maintained the eye contact between them. She let him finish all he has to say while Bea softly tightens her grip on her shoulders.
She took a deep breath and exhaled before speaking, she felt her hands shaking while her throat becomes dry and painful, a sign that she will cry soon.
"Are you done?" She asks Clark, "Are you done? Because I am done! I mean, since we got engaged, you... you're acting differently! We've been having misunderstandings these past few days and I'm tired."
She took another deep breath and exhaled to try and suppress her anger and tears, "I don't know what's happening between us. We just can't get in the line and run smoothly since I got this ring," she grips her ring finger and bites her lips.
"Honestly, yeah... We never even dated before you gave asked me to marry you. Are we not playing this relations.h.i.+p wrong?"
Clark's angst went down and all he can feel is fear.
From what Sheen's saying, he's getting the feeling that it will not end well.
"Were always having a misunderstanding since we got engaged. And things are always getting messed up. Don't you think so too, Clark? Why do I suddenly felt this feeling that you're chaining me?" Sheen can no longer try to hide her feelings and her tears start to flow.
The words she heard from him was all to blame for the feelings and the thoughts that she's having right now.
"Why do you care about what the others will say? Wyn's my best friend, he's always there for me and I DO NOT F*cking care if someone sees us and if that person is someone who knows me, G.o.d forbids that he jumps into conclusions!"
Wyn suddenly felt guilty, yet, he wasn't even sure himself if he was trying to kiss Sheen earlier.
All he wants was to have her for the last time before finally accepting his lose, yet now, with how Clark talks to Sheen, he's once again eager to fight.
"Maybe we're just too similar that we can't be... maybe we're like magnets, G.o.d," Sheen buries her face in her hands.
'We're always fighting but we somehow get through it, we can't always understand each other but at the end of the day you make me smile, we hurt ourselves but we cry together,' Sheen thought.
"Okay, you two stop. You're both angry so don't talk to each other, you'll just end up saying words that will purposely hurt each other," Bea said as she pulls Sheen away.
Clark just watches with a pained expression, it is true.
He was shocked to see Wyn close to Sheen, and with the darkness, he really can't tell what Wyn was about to do yet he jumped into the conclusion that was from all the ideas he had from his jealousy.
He didn't mean to say the words he threw at Sheen earlier and he just wants her to feel the anger he has to make her understand what he was feeling about Wyn.
Wyn took his jacket and walks away, Bea took Sheen to the Kitchen while Clark just stands alone in the living room.
All he can hear is Sheen's sobs from the kitchen and every sound pierce him through the heart.
He knows she's not crying because he was angry about Wyn, he knows that her cries are about the words he let out earlier.
Knowing Sheen, he knows how much it pains her that the people he cares about only cares about what other people will think.
A few minutes after, Bea went out of the kitchen, "I didn't sign up for this. All I want was to watch movies with my friends but here I am, Dan, help me," she nags as she walks to Clark.
"Okay, first things first, I don't know what happened between you and Wyn but I know what happened to Sheen. You have to apologize to her but not now. Let her clear her mind first. Why are you even here?" Bea keeps on talking because Clark just stares at the kitchen with worried eyes.
"I wanted to tell her something but she didn't answer. It's an emergency," Clark answered without spilling his surprise about Sheen's parents.
Bea put her hands on her hips, "Okay, I think that emergency can wait tomorrow. But let me get this straight, think about your actions if you want to keep her with you. She's not someone who will stay if she knows she's not happy unless you were Kady."
Clark stared at Bea with a sharp eye upon hearing another man's name about their conflict but he later sighs and turns around, "Alright, I'll listen to you. Just tell her I am sorry and I promise, we will have to get this clean tomorrow."
"You know what, I am not saying this because you are my boss but because Sheen's my cousin. But if you guys can't work out, I won't be standing around and watching you both ruin your life. I know you guys are great but not because your relations.h.i.+p makes you happy in the end doesn't mean it's healthy. The things you go through, the choices you make that are toxic are not worth the happiness. Remember the travels are long but it has to be enjoyed as well, not only because you are up to a great place."
