There was something wrong with Drake. He was weaker than I expect. Half of his blood was processed and my body was in pain. It wasn't supposed to be this fast. Or to say I've digested dragon blood before in my last life, not a lot just half a cup for tracking purposes. This time however was several buckets of the stuff.
"Diana?" I called out,
"She's gone," answer Ms. Kim in a soothing voice, "Try not to think too much about it. This was meant to happen. She'll get over it."
"Mother?" I called out again.
"She's gone too. Stay calm and let it be."
"What is happening?" I asked,
"Well, you active your bloodline too soon." said Ms.Kim with a deep heavy sign," You are too young. Most only start the heavy stuff when they are a hundred. You'll have to visit the seers for advice that won't be cheap."
I didn't answer. But my thoughts drifted to my aunts. They'd probably refuse to tell me anything. The other seer alive was my dad's compet.i.tor so I'd probably not use his service. I think I could figure it out myself.
Slowly my eyes started to work again and I turn to see an empty room. There was only Ms. Kim standing there holding a golden key. It was grandfather's legacy. All the world and value he had was kept at the Trident bank in Atlantis. I took the key and put it away. I'll look at it later.
Now, I needed blood to balance out my body. Drake was dying so his blood was more potent. It will destroy the Yoit blood in me if I don't balance it out. It had happened before when an ancestor got greedy and tried to drink the blood of a G.o.d. His ending wasn't good, the body couldn't take that much magic and explode.
I rather not experience that faith. So I pulled out my little black book and tried to find some people with ancient druid blood. They had magic-circuit that could channel and divided magic. It was like a highway for the magic to run around your body without having to circulate with your blood cells, with it the druid body was stronger and fast than anyone. If I could obtain one then it would strengthen my body to a point that I could drain five G.o.ds and still walk away fine.
The problem was the druid are almost extinct. They may have the body to host power but they couldn't create power themselves.
Well, that is what common folk believe about them. I, however, know more of their history thanks to a deal I made years ago.
"Thanks, I'll be going now." I turn to Ms. Kim
The lady wave and nod and then disappeared. She was one old cookie that I didn't' understand and always was one step ahead of me.
