The women in the room could understand Sherry's nervousness, Ben did not really care. The kid was handsome, but at the end of the day, it was still a job.
After trying it a couple of more times Ben was still not satisfied. Sherry was already visibly tired from doing the routine so many times in succession, unlike Marcel who did not even break a sweat.
"Maybe we should take a break first," Marcel said when he noticed that Sherry's breathing had gotten even heavier.
"Rest, we'll resume in an hour," Ben said and left the room with Rain trailing closely behind him.
"Are you okay?" Marcel asked handing her a towel and a bottle of water. Sherry nodded because she was still out of breath as she wiped the sweat on her brow.
"You're a pretty good dancer" a voice was heard from the side of the room. Marcel raised his head and saw the three girls who had come in with Ben and Rain earlier.
"Thank you?" Marcel said and looked at Sherry in question.
"These are my group members, Kaira, Sheena and Elise" Sherry said pointing at them to indicate who was who.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Marcel," he said once they were introduced to him but was not forward enough to shake their hands.
"It's a pleasure," Elise said as her black eyes bore into his. Marcel gave them a small smile before picking up his phone.
"I a.s.sume you have a lot to talk about, I won't intrude," Marcel said as he excused himself and went to sit at the corner of the room where he had been sitting at the beginning.
Elise looked at him with narrowed eyes as a small frown appeared on her face. She was a very sceptical and careful person so when the other girls saw her like this, they did not think that it was strange.
[She's still looking at you] Avian commented when he noticed that Elise's gaze hadn't left Marcel.
Marcel asked sarcastically.
[Hasn't she been looking at you for so long?] Avian asked still having his doubts.
Marcel frowned at the nagging Avian and looked up only to see that Elise was still looking at him. He smiled at her and was surprised when she rolled her eyes and looked away.
Marcel asked Avian genuinely confused.
[Hehe, do you think you offended her?] Avian asked.
Marcel asked clearly puzzled.
[I'm just AI, how should I know?] Avian asked.
Marcel had really forgotten that Avian was just AI because of how real their interactions were.
Marcel answered and started downloading different apps on his phone and catching up on the entertainment scene.
While Marcel was getting acquainted with the "power of technology" Sherry was getting a pep talk from her friends.
"Is it so hard to flirt with him? You need to be seducing him isn't that right?" Sheena asked as she blinked at Sherry.
"That is the concept, but he is too distracting. I even forget what I'm supposed to be doing. Especially when he carries the air of an instructor" Sherry complained. She was wondering if she made the mistake of picking someone who was too good-looking.
"This isn't your first time dancing. Why are you so nervous?" Kaira asked as she lifted her eyebrows.

"Have you seen him from up close? I have been this close to his face, he doesn't have pores" Sherry said as she brought her hand close to her own face to show just how close she had been with Marcel before. Sheena had to laugh from how ridiculous Sherry was being.
"Shouldn't you be a bit more serious? Ben was worried about Marcel not being able to keep up but it turns out you were the one with a problem. You should step up as the senior, don't you think?" Elise said seriously effectively killing the mood.
"Can't you be less serious? You always have to kill the mood" Sheena complained while rolling her eyes.
Elise was just too serious for her own good. They all knew that Sherry was stressed out because she was having a hard time staying in character, especially because she was doing the whole project by herself for the first time. Elise humphed and kept quiet deciding not to say anything else.
"Try talking to him about it. Although he is a noob, he doesn't look like one. He had gotten into character so quickly before it was unnerving" Kaira said as she turned to look at Marcel who still had his head bent over his phone.
"Does he know us?" Kaira asked curiously.
"Nope," Sherry replied making Kaira smile in amus.e.m.e.nt.
"Interesting" Kaira said and twirled her platinum blonde hair around her finger.
"No, it's not interesting. Now if you'll excuse me. I have to go talk to him. Will you three just leave?" Sherry said and got up from her seat.
"We'll see you later," Sheena said and got up as well, hooking her arm around Kaira's and Elise's before turning to leave.
She even yelled her goodbye towards Marcel who smiled in response to Sheena's enthusiasm and nodded towards the other two girls. It looked like Elise really didn't like him at all.
Before he could recover from the glare he had just received from Elise, he felt a presence next to him and turned to see Sherry giving him a hopeful gaze.
"What?" he asked cautiously.
"Can you teach me?" Sherry asked while turning her gaze away.
"Teach you what?" Marcel asked confused. It wasn't like he could teach her the routine, she was a much better dancer than he was.
"To act, I can't get into character," Sherry said in a soft voice. When Marcel saw her actions he couldn't help but think she was being cute. Why didn't he interact with his juniors in his past life?
[You were too greedy] Avian chimed into his thoughts completely bursting his bubble.
"Mmh, I'll teach you," Marcel said his expression slightly sour from Avian's interruption but Sherry did not even see it because she was feeling too embarra.s.sed to look at him.
