"You said we know each other from an Orphanage" started Draig hoping for an elaboration.
"Yes, Sylvie was friends with Draig" answered the girl while staring ahead.
"Tell me, what was I like back then" asked Draig trying to get a glimpse of the past.
"Sylvie remembers. We used to play together, Draig was Sylvie's closest friend" answered Sylvie as the making of a smile appeared for a moment.
"That doesn't answer my question" stated Draig finding the Demon Slayer to be lacking as far as information.
"You were always smiling" cut in Winter surprising Draig.
Draig looked to her in surprise.
"Smiling?" questioned Draig confused, he couldn't remember a time where he had smiled in that city before he got his cla.s.s.
"You were always happy, always trying to impress others any way you could" answered Winter casting a glance towards the sky as she recalled those days.
"Why" demanded Draig as it sounded out of character.
"You wanted to make the others like you, you were always stronger and faster than us" laughed Winter thinking back to the brown Haired youth from then.
"Sylvie remembers that the cloaked man came to visit you on your birthdays, Draig was always smiling when he did. He would tell Draig and Sylvie stories and bring Draig gifts for his birthday" added Sylvie
'Cloaked Man' thought Draig as a certain mage came to mind.
"He said he was a friend of Draig's mother, he always seemed sad when he talked about her" stated Sylvie.
The little bit they had said caused Draig's headache to grow more fierce as he tried harder to remember but nothing came of it.
"What else" asked Draig unable to remove his eyes from the two women.
"You didn't have fangs then either" recounted Winter with Sylvie nodding as she rememberd as Winter said that.
"How do you tie into my past" asked Draig looking towards Winter as it was only Sylvie who had said anything about the Orphanage.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.
"I was there too, though I didn't particularly care for you. Especially after your condition became known, though I wasn't the only one" answered Winter casting a wary glance towards Draig.
"Then your telling me I wasn't always like this" stated Draig as he began contemplating.
"A Vampire? Thats hard to say, I was but a child. I wouldn't know the signs of Vampirism back then, I know that after it had become known things had changed." answered Winter
"Changed" stated Draig in understanding but Winter had thought it was a question.
"The cloaked man no longer showed up, the children who had adored you looked at you with cold stares. The things they would say were so hurtful, they hated you and along with it anyone a.s.sociated with you" answered Winter looking towards Sylvie.
Draig got the hint but said nothing.
"Winter made Sylvie stay away from Draig, then one day Draig was gone. Sylvie forgot about Draig, but Draig had become a scary person" stated Sylvie with an odd tone.
"It's true, we had started hearing about some of your exploits as we grew up. Beating adults into being hospitalized, thefts, destruction of property. You weren't very endearing after leaving" stated Winter.
Draig could vaguely remember those things as it wasn't something hard to believe, he knew that was his way of surviving until he got his cla.s.s. Take what he needed and beat anyone who showed him malice, hatred was a good teacher for him.
"What about the Cloaked man, did he ever appear after I left" asked Draig as he couldn't get the image of Zarra out of his head.
"He did, he came and took us when we had come of age and brought us to get a system" stated Winter as now she was becoming curious.
'I need to find that Mage' thought Draig as he turned to look at the two girls.
"Did a cloaked Mage survive the collapse" asked Draig as he seriously needed to know.
"Lord Zarra" asked Winter confused why Draig would ask about him.
"I suppose this is him, where is he now" demanded Draig as he could no longer hold himself back from finding the answers.
"I a.s.sume that he is still with the others who travelled with the remaining Guild Leaders but what has he got to do with anything" asked Winter
"I feel that he is the key to learning the truth about my past and origin, can you take me to him" asked Draig seriously.
"It shouldn't be hard but I don't think it would be a good idea for you to head out to the human domain" started Winter until Draig cut her off with a deadly glance.
"There is no human Domain, there is only MY domain" stated Draig as he stared the ice mage down.
A s.h.i.+ver racked her body.
"Sylvie will take you there" chimed Sylvie as she looked as she tugged his sleeve.
"Excellent, then let us head there" exclaimed Draig
"Sylvie can do this, she just needs to follow the wanted poster" stated the Demon Slayer as she pulled out a poster with a poor depiction of Draig on it.
"Don't you think we need to be more inconspicuous" asked Winter feeling she was being ignored.
"I am a Vampire, what mortal could harm me" laughed Draig mockingly causing Winter to blush a bit at the confidence.
'He does have his desireable traits' admitted the Ice mage mentally.
"Very well, I am just a straggler on this adventure anyways" stated Winter reluctantly.
Sylvie grabbed Draig's hand causing the Feratu to recoil slightly in surprise, no one had ever grabbed him like that before. He stared at the hand for a while and admitted to himself the feeling was pleasant.
'Mage I am coming for you, you better have the answers I seek or I will be returning the trouble you caused me ten fold' thought Draig with a narrowing of his eyes.
