The Feratu couldn't believe his eyes as he stared at the person before him, a person that had been dead for a few years now.
Draig couldn't help but become hostile as this was an obvious trick in his mind.
"Who are you. . ." demanded Draig as he stared at the old man standing before him with that same kind face that he recalled from his youth in this world.
"Has it really been so long that you have forgotten your Emperor" laughed Emperor Subaras.h.i.+ though he seemed a bit hurt at the question.
"I haven't forgotten, but I am curious how a dead man is standing before me" stated Draig making his disposition clear.
"A dead man? I may be old but my time hasn't come yet" chuckled The Emperor as he stepped inside.
"Are you perhaps ill" asked the Emperor coming closer to Draig causing the Vampire to glare.
"I am beginning to wonder the same thing, it isn't normal to see spirits of the deceased after all" answered Draig causing the Emperor to sigh.
The Emperor hearing this stopped and looked at Draig oddly, it seemed he truly was confused about the Feratu's words.
"Draig I have come here to ask that you come back to the capital with me, there is much we need to discuss" started the Emperor causing Draig's eyes to narrow at the mention of the Capital.
"Why would I return to that den of Snakes" spat Draig causing the Emperor's eyes to widen at the clear display of hatred.
"Draig watch your tone, I have a great affinity towards you but that will not excuse your words" stated the Emperor showing a bit of annoyance.
The Feratu heard this and felt his temper close to boiling over however he calmed himself as he wasn't capable of fighting someone who could mimic the power of the Emperor. This in mind he decided to ignore his hatred for those heirs that had him locked away for a year.
"What do you want then. . . " asked Draig relenting to hear out this person impersonating the Emperor, the Feratu knew that this person could have just taken him without saying anything however they hadn't so he would hear out this impostor.
Draig was convinced that he wasn't mistaken about the Emperor's death and he wasn't mistaken either, the cause of this sudden change in the events of time was due to the Woman who had sent him to the World of Deva. She had tampered with many things and the Emperor's death was only one of them, time would tell what else she had altered but until then it was hard to say. Not that any of this was known to Draig at the moment.
"As I have said, I require your presence in the Capital. Seeing as you have grown enough to enter the Deva Grounds I figured it would be good to come and ask for your a.s.sistance, this will also give us a chance to talk about what you missed during your absence." explained the Emperor as his face settled back into a smile.
Draig smirked as his words allowed him an excuse to not leave.
"It as you have said, I have entered the Deva grounds. As you know it is quite impossible for me to leave until I have pa.s.sed the test to become an official Deva" explained Draig with a sigh as if he was truly saddened by this information.
However at this moment a messenger came.
"Deva of Dorm E, the President of the Deva a.s.sociation has deemed the Deva Grounds closed for restructuring. All Deva Trainees are to vacate the Deva Grounds within the week or else they will be conscripted as Laborers, it as advised that you leave as quickly as possible" announced the black suited Deva before he disappeared without a trace.
The Emperor just started smiling after hearing this while Draig felt spited, it was not even a second before that he had said he would love to go but couldn't because of the Deva grounds rules.
"Then shall we get going" asked the Emperor chuckling at his good fortune.
"It seems we shall, just give me a moment to gather my things" sighed Draig as he disappeared into a closet of sorts however it merely hid the stairway into the storage area from when he had a Faction.
It was here that all those supplies had been stored from pillaging the Spliced Faction, the Feratu grabbed his satchel which had still remained at his side during this time and channeled a bit of mana to use the Talismans that had already been constructed before his loss of ability. Taking out a few of the storage Runes he began flinging them across the room until they wouldn't hold anymore which still left a good number of things behind but alas he didn't possess the ability to craft more at the moment. At least not until he could get the mystical energy to obey his commands as before.
As he returned to the surface he found Chidori serving the Emperor tea however he nearly choked upon tasting the low quality leaves.
"It saddens me to know this is the life that Draig has grown accustom to, tell me how do you and Draig know each other" asked the Emperor as he looked at Chidori suspiciously.
"I am Draig's follower" answered Chidori, however by that same token she believed herself to still be spying on the Feratu in order to learn his secrets despite the odd change in her Grandfather.
"I see. . . and it is just you two staying here" asked the Emperor while Draig stood at the side with twitching of the brow.
"It is only us" answered Chidori not seeing the problem with the situation, in her mind it was only natural that a Follower remain close to the one they had chosen to follow.
The Emperor seemed to freeze at the answer but showed nothing else that would reveal his thoughts.
'This isn't good. . . . .' thought the Emperor with a slight trembling of the hand.
