He looks away from her. He grips his hands. He remains calm and looks at her in the eye. "I'm no longer...in love with you..." Her eyes widen.
"W-What?" Haru turns his heels and walks away. She stands up and grabs his hand. "Haru. You're joking, right?"
Haru stays silent. "Haru! Talk to me!" He looks at her. "Why would I joke about his matter?"
He brush her hand off of him. She watch him leave without looking back at her. She fell on her knees. (Haru...)
Tears slides down on her cheeks. (...you said you love me...just why...change of heart...)
Mia refuses to eat. She's locks herself in her room. She calls him but he didn't pick up any of her calls. (So we're officially over?)
One day, Hector appears in front of her. "He wants to talk to you." She looks up ahead and sees Haru in the back seat of the car.
She walks to the car and get in. They both remain silent. He then grabs an envelope and gave it to her.
She takes it and checks in the envelope. Her eyes widen as she sees one big and bold word; DIVORCE.
She takes the papers out and sees that Haru has already sign it. "Is this what you really want?" "Yes."
Without any hesitation, she signs the paper. She gave it to him. She gets out of the car. Before she closes the door, she said, "If we ran into each other; let's act like we're strangers." She closed the door and left without looking back.
Haru grips the papers. (I'm sorry, Mia.) Mia walks away in tears. Mia returns to work. She overworked herself, that she collapsed. Mia opens her eyes and sees unfamiliar ceiling.
She sits up and sees Maya next to her. "Maya." Maya got up and sees Mia. Maya hugs Mia. "Why are you torturing yourself when you're carrying a child." Mia's eyes widen. "What?" Maya looks at her sister.
"Don't you know you're carrying his child?" "Maya. Me and him are over." "What?" "We both signed divorce papers. We're no longer husband and wife." "Mia takes Maya's hands. "Don't tell anyone about this child." "Mia."
She touches her stomach. "What about mom and dad? We should at least tell them, right?" Mia shakes her head. Mia agrees. They both waited for Mother and Father to arrive. Mia's relations.h.i.+p with her parents are well.
After a short while, Mother and Father appears. "Mia. Are you alright?" Maya went to closed the door. Mia takes a deep breathe and said, "There's a good news and bad news."
Both of their parents looked at each other then turns to Mia. Her mother asks, "What's the bad news?" "Haru and I are no longer husband and wife." Her father sits on the chair. "It's alright. That won't harm us."
"And the good news is you two are going to be grandparents." They both are speechless. Her mother sits next to Mia. "No matter what you're going through, your father and I will support you." Mia smiles. "I know."
...
Three years later.
Mia was reading a book to Miharu. "Mommy." She pointed at the mommy turtle. Mia smiles. "That's right." Miharu then pointed at the daddy turtle. "Daddy....will he able to find his daughter?" Mia's smile fades.
"He will." Miharu nods. "Should we go and check on grandma in the kitchen?" Miharu nods. "Go ahead. I'll come after putting the books away." "Okay."
Miharu stands up and head to the kitchen. Mia watches her daughter walks to the kitchen. Mia looks down at the book. Mia wrote the book for Haru. (I wonder if you're doing okay.)
...
Haru is in the study room, tossing crumbled papers on the floor. "d.a.m.n it. d.a.m.n it." He leans back against his chair and sighs. (Everything is not going as I plan.)
The door opens and Hector enters the room. "Haru." "What is it?" "Ronny." "Him again?" Haru sits properly and looked at Hector. "What did he do this time?"
"He is demolis.h.i.+ng the church in Saint Mary St." (That's the church that Mia always go to.) Haru stands up. "Where's Ronny?" "Heading to the church." "Let's go."
...
Mia was helping her mother to cook but she receives a phone call from the orphanage. She answers it, "h.e.l.lo?" "Mia." "Yes." "What to do?" "What's wrong?" "They demolish this place."
Her eyes widen. "What?! Why?" "I don't know. Where am I and the kids are going to stay after this place is demolish?" "I'll be there." Mia hangs the call and turns to her mom. "Mom. Something came up. Please take care of Miharu for me." Her mother nods.
She bends down and looks at her daughter. "Mommy will be back. Be good, okay?" Miharu nods. Mia place a kiss on her forehead. She then grabs her bag and head to the church.
As she got there, she gets out of the car and sees Haru and Hector. Haru's eyes met her. Mia averts her eyes and head inside of the church.
"Mia." "Sister. Where's the kids?" "They're away for a field trip." "That's good that they won't able to know what's going on." "What are we going to do?" Mia lowers her gaze and thinks.
As she thinks about it, Haru shows up. "Sister." "Mr. Haru." "I'm sorry. I don't know what my brother is thinking." Mia looks up. (His brother?)
She gets in between Sister and Haru. "You're also behind this, aren't you?!" Haru stays quiet. Hector was about to opens his mouth to speak but a man appears who was breathing heavily. "Mia. They're here. They're with those big machines to knock this building down!"
Mia's eyes widen and dash out to check it out with the man. She couldn't believe what she is seeing. She turns to Haru. "I won't forgive you if this church is knocked down."
