85 Gives Me The Shivers

Zylvia wrapped her hands around Kaldrek's arm and looked up at him with twinkling eyes. She was a bit surprised to see him. Not that she was upset, she rather liked the surprise. He slipped his other hand over her clasped fingers and smiled down at her with affection in his gaze.

"Are you two coming?" Jayesh had laughter in his voice as he looked back at where they were having a moment.

"Yeah," Kaldrek turned to look at his king, his smile was still on his face. He did not pull his hand away from her though, which pleased Zylvia as she rather liked how their position made her feel.

They walked after their monarchs, in a leisurely fas.h.i.+on. Zylvia squeezed her husband's arm, as she matched his pace. He definitely did not mind, from the look of the grin on his face, he rather enjoyed her arm hug. She smiled when she noticed the way he kept sneaking glances at her.

"Where are we going?" Zylvia whispered to her husband. "And why did the two of you search us out like that?"

"Jayesh was missing his queen," Kaldrek lowered his head to speak directly in her ear, "And I think we are merely heading to eat dinner, though Jayesh did not actually specify."

She frowned up at him, "And you weren't missing me? At all?"

He placed a quick kiss against her cheek, "Of course I missed you, love, but if I went and found you every time that I started missing you, I would never leave your side."

She blushed and looked away, unsure of what to say all of a sudden. She sighed and leaned her head against his shoulder, letting her eyes briefly drift close, as she trusted him to guide her and keep her from tripping.

Jayesh had, in fact, been heading for the dining hall. As they entered, Zylvia could hear the bubbly sound of Hazel's voice as she chattered the ear off of her very patient knight. Zylvia had to acknowledge that he had become more open to others, whatever Hazel had been doing must be working.

The young princess looked up as they entered and greeted them cheerfully. Zylvia smiled at her obvious good mood. She was growing a little fond of the young girl, and hoped for the best for her.

Zylvia blinked when she felt Kaldrek pull his arm out of her grip. She was about to frown when he pulled out a chair for her, and sat her down. As she could not very well get upset at him for being a gentleman, she smiled wryly at him instead. It did not take long for him to fetch food for them and sit beside of her.

She accepted the food from him with a brilliant smile and contentedly began to eat.

Fayre giggled, "Zylvia never changes, put food in front of her and she is highly satisfied with life."

"Aye, sweetheart," Jayesh agreed, laughing, "It is really surprising that she is still so skinny."

As they teased her, Zylvia rolled her eyes. She was about to retort when her husband brushed a strand of her hair behind her ear, and spoke in a soft voice, "Well, I think its just adorable." Blus.h.i.+ng, she suddenly became unable to actually say anything.

"Kaldrek…" Jayesh shook his head at his best friend, "You are giving me the s.h.i.+vers. Its so odd hearing you flirt, I mean you really never seemed to be all that interested in romance."

Kaldrek grinned, his eyes still on Zylvia. "There is a big difference in not being interested and just not being good at it. I am trying for Zylv's sake though." He paused and then gently teased his wife, "Besides, on the whole Zylv with food thing, at least her tendency to grow really happy when eating makes my duty to her a lot easier. All I have to do is make sure she is well fed."

She punched his shoulder, and huffed at him, even though she was not really upset at him. The words he had said right beforehand cus.h.i.+oned it quite a bit.

Seeing her pout, Kaldrek did not grow worried. Instead he turned to her and began feeding her. She allowed him to do so, and found herself enjoying his pampering treatment.
