55 Charm Him Till He Does

However, Hazel looking at the two seemed to think the two were actually in love or at the least interested in each other. Which if it was true would be wonderful as it would mean that they just needed to talk about it and admit their feelings. Though, she also realized that their personalities were such that this might be difficult for them, as Zylvia was convinced that she was not all that good of a catch and she was pretty sure that Kaldrek was the sort who would never confess to a girl unless he was absolutely sure she liked him back. Which meant that Zylvia was the one who would have to make the first move.

Honestly though, Fayre had trouble believing that Zylvia at least had any such feelings for Kaldrek, though she was pretty sure Kaldrek had at least a small crush on his wife. The reason for this was that she remembered what Zylvia had done when she was told of her engagement to Kaldrek. A despondent look had come across her face and she had looked completely downcast. she had mumbled 'Jayesh's orders...marry Kaldrek?' and then had sighed and agreed as she doubted she would ever get any other offers of marriage. Kaldrek had taken it in a much calmer manner. Though they had teased him about running away, her had never given any real indication that he actually would and had instead just accepted it. He had been considerate of Zylvia about the whole thing, and had helped her out in any way she asked him too.

Fayre was more convinced then ever that Kaldrek was in love with his wife. She was not sure if he realized it or not but the way he treated her was as if she was highly precious, and the way he spoke of her to others was full of respect. She also, when she thought of it, realized that his eyes would often follow her with every movement she made, and he teased her a lot more than he did everyone else.

"Hard to be upset?" Fayre tilted her head, even though she did not think that Zylvia had been in love with him when she had married him, perhaps things had changed. "Really? I seem to be remember you were pretty sad when we told you who you were going to marry." She wanted to see how her friend would answer this.

"Wasn't so much who as how," Mumbled Zylvia.

Fayre blinked, "What do you mean?"

"What girl wants to be ordered to marry someone?" Zylvia sighed, "Cmon, Fayre, who wouldn't be a little upset?"

Fayre had to acknowledge that Zylvia had a point, "So you weren't upset about marrying Kaldrek?"

"Kaldrek's a nice guy, and we get along. He respects me, and would never hurt me. Marrying him isn't so bad," Zylvia shrugged, "Honestly, I would rather marry him than anyone else."

"What about your crush?" Fayre felt surprised, "Or has that already disappeared?"

Zylvia began to chuckle, "My crush? It hasn't disappeared...in fact I think it grows deeper each day!"

Fayre had no idea how to react to her best friend, even if she was not in love with her husband, surely she should respect him enough not to talk about another guy like that. Hazel however let out a squeal,, "I was right, then wasn't I? You actually do love him, don't you? You're just not sure he feels the same, right? So you don't like speaking about it."

Fayre blinked. Oh, that actually did make a lot more sense of a conclusion, "Well, from my observations, Zylv, you've nothing to worry about. Kaldrek likes you, I'm sure of it."

Zylvia blushed as she looked down, a soft smile playing at her mouth, "Perhaps, and if he doesn't I'll charm him till he does."
