It was obvious that her husband was excited about being a father. While he did not go on about it in the same way Jayesh did, he certainly acted excited. And it seemed to Zylvia that his excitement grew with each day.
She enjoyed the attention he was showering her with. Zylvia rather liked it when her husband would take a break from his busy schedule and just join her in whatever she was doing at the moment.
And it was not even like her pregnancy was giving her that much trouble. Sure she always felt drained and nausea came and went but she had not even thrown up from it. Fayre was having a more difficult pregnancy.
After he had informed her of Dawn's message they had cuddled in bed for a while before she pulled him up and out of their room. They walked next to each other and his hand wrapped around her to pull her a bit closer to him.
They went to the dining room in order to eat some supper. Zylvia smiled at her best friend when they entered. Fayre and Jayesh had already been eating and seemed deep in discussion.
The two looked up and acknowledged their presence as Zylvia sat down and Kaldrek went to get her something to eat.
"So… seems like we don't need to worry about those a.s.sa.s.sins anymore." Fayre sounded pleased. Zylvia could understand that. Afterall, what they had attempted was terrible. Even more so that they had attempted it everywhere.
"Yes, it's good to be able to put that behind us," Zylvia then frowned, "Though I think we are probably the only kingdom that is able to put it entirely behind of us."
"We were pretty lucky," Agreed Jayesh, "Even if I was upset that they hurt my wife at least I did not lose her. Not everyone can say the same."
After a bit of silence, Jayesh muttered softly, "Sometimes I wonder why we don't just blow Nix'Ryl up to smithereens with how much trouble comes out of it."
"Well other than its rather large size…" Kaldrek rolled his eyes, "There are quite a number of people living there. Most of whom don't bother us. Oh, not to mention that some very powerful creatures come from there. There is a reason we try to stay out as much as possible."

Jayesh frowned, "Okay, okay. So it would be a remarkably bad idea. I wish there was something we could do."
"Our clerics occasionally sends envoys there to try to teach them a better way of living. They never seem to succeed though. I mean, they probably have a few people that do accept the teachings, but most of them come to the civilized lands. It's a pity really…"
"What is?"
"I think we could find out a lot about history if we could search the ruins there."
"Kaldrek…" Now Jayesh was laughing, "You never change, do you?"
"What? I want to know what happened there. It bugs me, okay."
Zylvia listened to the exchange between the two men with a smile on her face. Her husband's interest in Nix'Ryl was amusing to watch. She was not sure anyone else shared this same interest.
If Kaldrek had not been the Court Sorcerer he would probably have become a researcher. He probably would have ventured into Nix'Ryl and if he managed to find out everything there was to know about it.
