Dekan knocked on the door of room 105.
"You inside, listen up. If you surrender now, we can go easy on you. But if we have to drag you out, it won't be the same."
The room fell silent for a moment, then a voice filled with hatred asked, "What about my sister?"
"She returned to the Fountain," Dekan responded. Although she didn't understand what " the Fountain" meant, from Dekan's tone, she could guess.
"I swear I'll find you all in the real world someday and kill you!" The voice of the twin sister contained a hint of weeping as she gritted her teeth.
"What are you talking about? Do you think you can go back so easily?" Dekan retorted.
A maddened laugh came from inside the door. It seemed she found Dekan's threat somewhat foolish.
Dekan sighed, turned back to face Lilith, and said, "Negotiations failed. Can you please keep an eye on the twin sister in there and make sure she doesn't come out?"
Lilith replied, "No problem. We'll handle it from here."
Dekan said, "Thank you. We'll go take care of business now."
Lilith inquired, "What are you going to do?"
Dekan answered, "Do you even need to ask? We're preparing a party!"
"Party, meow!" Even Teacher Cat seemed somewhat excited.
It was indeed a breeze to follow this guy.
Lilith was left puzzled, her expression filled with questions. She couldn't fathom what Dekan was thinking.
So, Lilith and her guard stayed by the door of room 105. Dekan and Cornelia's figures vanished down the corridor and never appeared again.
After a few hours, they started feeling hungry.
"Why is there such a strong smell of grilled meat?" Lilith sniffed the air, puzzled. The kitchen had ingredients, but it only had an oven, not a grill. Was she hallucinating? But the scent grew stronger, and even Lilith's guard agreed.
"You guys, its time for lunch," a voice said.
A clear voice echoed in the corridor. Dekan and Cornelia reappeared at the other end of the hallway, walking towards them. They brought skewers of grilled meat and vegetables.
"Thanks for your hard work," Cornelia expressed her appreciation.
Lilith and her guard were once again taken aback. Was this atmosphere appropriate? For some reason, seeing Dekan and Cornelia in their current state, they couldn't muster any tension.
It seemed like this villa was indeed a pleasant place for a vacation. Lilith and her guard gratefully indulged in the food. In all honesty, they hadn't thought about enjoying good food after entering this Shadow World. Given the circumstances, nobody would be inclined to cook anything in the kitchen.
Lilith suddenly asked, "By the way, what kitchen equipment was used to make these grilled meats?"
Dekan replied, "Huh? Didnt you see that huge barbecue grill in the living room?"
"???"
The afternoon passed with Lilith and her guard guarding the door while Dekan and Cornelia disappeared once more. They said they were going to create some game props since they had a whole day of play ahead of them.
As night fell, Dekan and Cornelia returned with dinner for Lilith and her guard.
"All right, the two of you should go back to the second-floor bedrooms later and don't come out. It could be dangerous if you do."
Dekan smiled as he spoke to Lilith and her guard.
"Do we no longer need to worry about this place?"
"Yeah, we'll deal with the enemy in the room. Then, the vampire will be released from the seal. We'll take care of that vampire as well."
"Be careful."
"Don't worry, have a good rest tonight. Tomorrow will be a wonderful day."
"Thanks..."
Lilith didn't ask any more questions; she just nodded and left with her guard. Dekan stood in front of the door to room 105, placing his hand on it.
"Listen up, thug in the room. Now confess the information about the Resurgence Church and I might spare your lives!"
Dekan called out.
"Keep dreaming, you jerk!"
The twin sister angrily shouted from inside the room. Although she didn't want to engage with Dekan, she was feeling too frustrated. Everything had been far too eerie since they entered this Shadow World.
Both she and her sister were hidden members of the Resurgence Church. Initially, when they discovered they had entered a competitive-type Shadow World, they were very excited. They would undoubtedly become the rebel challengers and turn this Shadow World into their hunting ground.
However, what was strange was that only her sister had turned into the werewolf, while she wasn't the witch. But it didn't matter; regardless of their roles, their ultimate goal was unchanged. Even as a regular challenger, she could help her sister, who had gained the identity of the werewolf, hunt down other contenders.
They even felt that their chances of winning had improved. This was because they believed that, among this group of people, another evil person had gained the identity of a witch. They too were intending to harm the world. What was originally a 2 versus 8 situation had turned into 3 versus 7!
However, for some reason, that cursed witch refused to appear and left her and her sister in such a miserable state.
"Make sure to not beg me later," Dekan regretfully shook his head and stepped aside.
"Can you handle this, Cornelia?"
"Of course."
Cornelia, holding a spare "Battlehammer of Terror," approached the door and began smashing it.
"You two fools! No matter how strong you are, you can't break this door even if you keep hitting it!"
Hearing the noise of the door being smashed, the healer sister shouted loudly from inside the room. However, with each resounding "thud," the thick wooden door began to deform gradually. She rubbed her eyes and took a few steps closer, even doubting if her eyes were playing tricks on her.
"Thud!"
Finally, a small hole punctured through the wooden door.
"No! It can't be!"
The healer sister panicked and screamed, her eyes filled with desperate fear. She looked like a frightened rabbit, trembling all over. She retreated a few steps, but her legs gave out, and she sat on the floor.
Dekan signaled Cornelia to pause temporarily, then approached the hole and peered into the room, watching the healer sister.
"Hehehe... Heeeere's Dekan!"
"No! Why?!"
The healer sister screamed in horror, like a startled little bunny, her body trembling. Her eyes widened, but all she could see through the crack was Dekan's increasingly wicked grin.
"Let's play a game, shall we? Can you guess who the witch is?"
Dekan grinned mischievously, looking at the healer sister, who was on the verge of tears.
"Why? Aren't we allies?!"
The healer sister shouted hoarsely, her sharp voice especially grating.
She finally understood everything. The person outside the door was the witch! He had somehow taken the witch identity that should have belonged to her. However, he now stood on the opposite side of the werewolf, aiming to kill her and her sister. It wasn't fair!
"Heh heh, who said we were allies?" Dekan sneered.
"I just hypnotized myself into becoming the world's destroyer before entering the Shadow World. Well, I also had a higher probability of getting the evil faction's identity, so with a bit of luck, I snatched the witch identity that should have been yours."
