"Next, let's go to the second floor to investigate," Decan said to the group. They were currently at the end of the first-floor hallway. The keys to rooms 103 to 105 were all missing.
Fighting the werewolf here wasn't a good choice. Leading the enemy to the second floor before engaging in combat was undoubtedly the safest option. Upstairs, they had a natural geographical advantage they could both attack and defend. Even if something unexpected occurred, Decan and Cornelia could retreat to their rooms.
Their Plan A was to reach the second floor and have Cornelia approach the other four. Once Dekan summoned the "Ruined Poet" out of sight of the four girls, Cornelia would notice whose expression changed the most and go straight to her, giving her a blow with her hammer.
This greatly tested Cornelia's reaction speed.
Cornelia needed to strike down the enemy before they transformed into the werewolf. Things would get more complicated for Dekan and Cornelia once the werewolf activates Berserk.
However, even if they couldn't win at that time, they could hide in the second-floor rooms, escaping the dangers.
After hiding for ten minutes, it would be their one-sided torture against the werewolf.
Dekan turned and prepared to head towards the second-floor stairs.
Since the beginning, Cornelia had naturally reduced the distance between herself and the other four according to the plan. She also unknowingly kept a certain distance from Dekan.
However, at that moment, a holy light barrier separated Dekan and Cornelia.
Dekan turned sharply and, before attempting to break through the holy light barrier, saw the assassin sister appearing by Cornelia's side like a ghost.
She hugged Cornelia from behind, grabbed her wrist and quickly returned to her sister's side. The assassin sister held a dagger against Cornelia's neck.
Her expression became somewhat sinister as she stared at Dekan, fearing any action from him. She knew Dekan was an extremely dangerous individual.
After all, he had tormented her so badly yesterday. That cursed poison was still torturing her even now. She didn't know how it was concocted, but not even purification magic could dispel it. If her sister hadn't provided continuous healing and pain relief, she might not have survived last night. This morning, just to maintain a normal expression, she had nearly ground her teeth to dust.
"I know you're strong, but if you make a move, I'll kill this delicate detective!"
The assassin sister shouted at Dekan.
"..."
Even though Dekan's expression remained calm at this moment, his brow had already furrowed.
This performance satisfied the assassin sister greatly. It seemed she had made the right gamble. If they didn't seize the opportunity to abduct Cornelia and were discovered on the second floor, there would be no chance of a comeback.
"Raise your hands and step back! Keep your distance from us!" She shouted fiercely.
Dekan didn't say anything, nodded, and began stepping back as the assassin sister had requested.
Seeing Dekan being so obedient, the assassin sister finally let go of some of her tension. It seemed he cared deeply for the detective's safety.
So it went on until Dekan was thirty meters away from them. Finally, assassin sister revealed a victorious smile on her face.
She proudly admired Dekan's expression.
"I've tolerated you for a long time. Why are you still smiling? Aren't you supposed to be panicking? Where's that composure from last night?"
The assassin sister sneered.
Dekan simply clenched his lips tightly. His eyes couldn't hide his remorse and panic. His tightly held fists trembled lightly, as if facing an irresistible crisis.
Lilith and her bodyguards had become very serious, but they dared not act recklessly. They had understood the current dire situation. The twin sisters were the rebel challengers. Furthermore, they had seized the opportunity to abduct the detective, effectively threatening the most powerful fighter, Dekan.
Also, from their conversation, it was clear that it was Dekan who had made the werewolf suffer so much last night.
His combat power was truly terrifying.
But now, even if he was strong, his weakness was too obvious.
As long as they controlled the detective, it meant that they controlled him!
"As long as you don't harm my lady, you can have my life!"
Dekan shouted.
From his slightly trembling voice, it was evident that he was truly panicking.
But in Dekan's mind, he had already begun to smile.
What a bunch of foolish assassins.
The enemies had chosen Plan B on their own.
Without the enemies cooperation, this plan couldn't proceed smoothly.
How could Cornelia not react to being abducted? Wouldn't she rather be closer?
They were waiting for the perfect moment for the werewolf to jump into action voluntarily!
As Cornelia, held captive, watched Dekan's performance with great interest, she felt increasingly delighted. If she weren't currently a hostage, she would have wanted to take out some snacks to enjoy. Watching Dekan's performances was one of her great pleasures.
"Which of you is the witch? Come out now!"
The assassin sister shouted at Lilith and her bodyguard.
Lilith and her bodyguard exchanged puzzled looks. They were completely confused and did not understand the assassin sister.
Wasn't the witch one of the twin sisters? Could it be that the assassin sister was the werewolf, while the healing sister wasn't the witch?
"So, neither of you are the witch either? It seems the witch is the tenth person who hasn't shown up yet."
The assassin sister furrowed her brow and quickly came to this conclusion.
"Now, we have the advantage! If you don't come out now, youll lose!"
The assassin sister yelled angrily at the air.
She needed to control the hostage and prevent the powerful Dekan from making any reckless moves. With one more ally, she would have the confidence to take down all of her opponents.
But there was no response.
This made her increasingly anxious.
That darn witch had been missing in action since the Shadow World began!
Originally, she should have become the werewolf while her sister became the witch. But it was as if her sisters identity as the witch had been stolen!
Just as the assassin sister appeared nervous, focusing all her attention on Dekan and Lilith, a powerful force struck.
With the sound of a shattered jaw, the assassin sister lost consciousness instantly.
Amidst the shocked gazes of everyone present.
It was Cornelia who had unleashed a devastating Shoryuken, smashing it directly into the assassin sister's chin, sending her flying.
...
"These two foolish sisters, they could have chosen anyone to abduct, but they had to choose Cornelia. They probably didn't even realize who the real hostage was until just now."
The students in the observation room shook their heads and sighed.
In their view, when the twin sisters made their move, they were already in a pitiable situation.
They had been completely played by Dekan and Cornelia.
Even though they were skilled in deception and wickedness, they appeared as innocent as white rabbits in front of Team Beautiful Heart.
