238 Drunk Talk 3

Although both of them were disturbed by the silence that covered them once again, Inna didn't seem able to talk at that moment and Raghnall didn't know what to talk about as well. And so, he decided to hum a small tune while he continued his comforting gestures.

Hearing the soft melodic tone of his humming, Inna couldn't help but remember her playlist of songs that she always played whenever she felt sad.

But instead of dwelling on that thought, she decided to enjoy Raghnall's humming instead as she tried to find a comfortable position.

But when she noticed that he ended his song, Inna accidentally let her thoughts slip out.

"One more!"

She pleaded at Raghnall. And although most of her plea was m.u.f.fled by his shoulder, Raghnall understood what she meant and he laughed lightly in reply.

"You want another one?"

Inna nodded with a smile as she comfortably rested her head on his shoulder. She could feel the vibrations of Raghnall's chuckle on her cheek as he replied.

"Sorry to disappoint but I don't listen much to music. The song I hummed was the only one I knew by heart. It used to be sung by my mother ever since I was a kid."

Raghnall smiled sadly but it only lasted for a moment before he covered it up with a small laugh.

"But how about you? Surely you know some songs from where you came? Care to share some?"

Inna contemplated for a moment before she pulled away from their hug. Then, with an amused smirk, Inna raised her eyebrow as she asked.

"You actually believe that I can sing good enough?"

Raghnall chuckled as he playfully looked her up as though he was inspecting her for something.

"Well, you look like the type to still sing whether it was good or not anyways. Besides, you can't be that bad…"

Inna shrugged as she gave him a look that told him not to regret his decision.

"I know a lot from different genres so I'm not quite sure which one to sing."

Raghnall contemplated for a moment before he spoke.

"Do you have a favorite? Or perhaps something that's unique in your country?"

Inna contemplated for a moment as she tried to recall any song that could fit both categories.

She's got lots of favorites in each genre, but if it were to be something unique that would never ever touch this world, then it could only be that song.

And so, with a sharp intake of air, Inna began to sing her hear out without even a simple warning.

"f.u.c.k, f.u.c.k f.u.c.k, f.u.c.k f.u.c.k f.u.c.k f.u.c.k f.u.c.k fuuck.

f.u.c.k, f.u.c.k f.u.c.k, f.u.c.k f.u.c.k f.u.c.k f.u.c.k f.u.c.k FUUUCK. FU--"

"OKAY STOP!"

Raghnall screamed as he covered both his ears with his hands. His face held a permanent wince as he spoke with disbelief in his tone.

"THAT is a SONG? ARE YOU SERIOUS?"

Inna gave him a flat unapologetic look as she crossed her arms haughtily.

"What? You wanted my favorite song that's unique to this world and so I gave it to you! You have no right to be picky."

Raghnall gave her an incredulous look as he spoke.

"I do NOT count that as a song! That's basically just screaming!"

Inna furrowed her brows as she glared at him.

"Okay, Mister 'Judge My Choice of Music.' What the h.e.l.l do you want me to sing then?! A fluttery heartfelt song filled with heartbreak that is dedicated to the love of my life who got me so broken hearted I can barely stand right but I feel like in order to move on I have to, for some weird emo reason, sing it? Is that what you want?!"

Raghnall immediately, and almost too excitedly, replied.

"YES."

Inna gave him a look of disgust and protest rolled into one that made him burst out laughing.

"Okay, fine. You showed me a song that's unique in your world, now can you show me your favorite song?"

Inna clicked her tongue as she spoke, still feeling a little miffed.

"That WAS my favorite song."

Raghnall gave her a flat look as he tried to coax her into showing another one.

"Then I request another song then. A soothing one. That song you sang earlier nearly blew my ears into a million pieces."

Inna groaned tiredly in protest but seeing Raghnall's stubborn face, she knew she'd have to comply or else they'd be quarreling about it for hours.

"Okay, okay. I will. But just one part okay? Not the whole song."

Raghnall was about to protest when Inna pinned him down with one frightening look.

"Okay! Just one part, one part!"

He replied while raising his hands up to show that he surrendered. Inna let out a satisfied smile at his gesture while thinking of a soothing song she knew.

When she finally picked one, she still felt hesitant and awkward in starting such a slow and heartfelt song so she gave him a glare as she warned.

"Don't laugh or complain about my singing, okay? Because remember that you were the one who wanted to sing it."

Raghnall snorted as he impatiently urged her to go on while making remarks on how lame she was for stalling

Inna rolled her eyes at his eagerness as she tried to endure the embarra.s.sment.

"Okay… here goes…"

Inna glanced at him one more time before closing her eyes and remembering the lyrics that cut deep into her heart.

"Wish I could, I… could've said goodbye… I would've said what I wanted to… Maybe even cried for you… If I knew it would be the last time, I would've broke my heart in two tryin' to save a part of you…"

Opening her eyes, Inna was about to end it there when Raghnall made a strong gesture for her to continue. Inna exaggeratedly sighed in complaint but she still complied.

"Don't wanna feel another touch… Don't wanna start another fire… Don't wanna know another kiss… No other name falling off my lips… Don't wanna give my heart away… To another stranger… Or let another day begin, won't even let the sunlight in… No, I'll never love again… I'll never… love again…"
