“Why? Are you afraid I’ll eat until you’re broke?”

Just then, Gu Jingyan had wanted to laugh but in a moment of carelessness, she choked.

After their meal, Lu Beichen sent Gu Jingyan back to the dormitory.

“Ha, of course not. Why? Do you want to go after Lu Beichen? Let me tell you. Not a chance. There’s plenty who have failed, coming to our cla.s.s and blocking the doorway every day. Who do you think you are? Take a queue number.”

Gu Jingyan found it absurd. She did not say that she was after Lu Beichen. Even if so, if someone were to go after Lu Beichen, what has it got to do with her?

Gu Jingyan raised her eyebrows. “Oh? Then who are you to Lu Beichen? Standing here and blocking people’s way.”

“I’m looking for Lu Beichen. On what grounds are you not allowing me in?”

The girl was stunned. She looked at Gu Jingyan in disbelief. “Don’t think I’ll let you in just because you said so.”

Gu Jingyan could not be bothered with her. She shouted towards the cla.s.sroom, “Lu Beichen, are you here? Don’t pretend to be dead. I’ve brought your notebook.”

“Y-y-you.” The girl at the door had horror all over her face.

“Oh, it dropped at your place last night? I forgot.” He took the notebook.

The girl’s eyes were full of jealousy but she walked into the cla.s.s extremely displeased.

She actually knew Lu Beichen. How could that be…

Gu Jingyan scoffed in her direction and held onto Lu Beichen’s arm immediately. She walked in front of the girl on purpose.

Seeing how the girl seemed to be full of rage, she felt much better.

“Come, come, remember to have lunch together.”

It was not just that girl, everyone else had been watching them.

Especially when they saw the two of them headed out arm in arm. Their eyes followed the pair out.
