"Alice!" Hades yelled with a fury so intense, the earth shook . Clyde heard her swallow, but steeled herself . This was it . He'd take the lead and see this fight through . Hopefully without getting his face kicked in .

Clare gave Clyde one of the nastiest rockets, containing something this world called luediam . He decided to count that toward his list of anime tropes: s.h.i.+t that made no sense . Hades had every right to be p.i.s.sed . Luediam…

Clyde motioned for the others to get moving then took aim at Hades . Neko stood off to the side, signaling to the young man that her watchers had their eyes on this fight .

Hades seemed blinded by his own rage, for when the lightning struck him, the demon's eyes widened in surprise .

"You," He said to Clyde . "You're leading this group, pus.h.i.+ng my daughter to betray me . I'll make you suffer . Heed my words . "

That attack wasn't aimed at Clyde, but Neko . The catgirl barely dodged, taking a graze of hot magic .

"An observer doesn't belong here," Hades said .

[Neko's HP has dropped to 81%]

"Still think you should sit back?" Clyde said to her .

"They're watching," she said, "I can feel them . I'm sorry Clyde, my duty is to see you to the Omen's sphere . "

"Then go somewhere safe," Clyde said . "He just lost everything . Do you think he'll give a f.u.c.k about anything relating to the watchers?"

She nodded and complied .

Clyde braced himself . Alice, Melody, Toru, Seth, Tear, Melody, Kitome, Natalia, and Harumi stood with him . Overkill? Clyde didn't think so . He'd have to be treated like a raid boss .

Hades blurred to them, crossing a gap of several meters in an instant . Natalia moved off to the side and began a series of chants .

With Ludacris in hand, Clyde blocked Hades's sword which seemed to emerge from nothingness . It glowed like this own . Another G.o.dd.a.m.n family treasure .

Both swords howled .

[Alice activated Slip distraction . ]

Hades's looked at her, snarling . Clyde didn't hesitate . Mystic wrath still raging, he placed his hand on the angry demon's chest .

[You activated Holy Spirit wave . ]

[IMMENSE CRITICAL! WEAKNESS EXPLOITED . ]

The force of the blast bashed the ancient demon backward at least twenty yards . Black aura suddenly surrounded him as he leapt to his feet .

[Hades's HP has dropped to 109%]

[Hades activated almighty-tier skill: Son Tan YU regeneration . ]

[Hades's HP has been fully restored to 850%]

"You've got to be s.h.i.+tting me," Clyde said . "This is as broken as it's going to get . "

The ancient demon dusted himself off before strolling toward the young man in a different manner .

"Losing myself in rage didn't get me this far," he said .

The party dodged away from the targeted spot . Clyde's spot . It collapsed into dust . The entire cliff shook for a few seconds then settled .

Everyone coughed away the airborne dust and dirt .

[Toru activated Zen mode . ]

"Fan out again and cast," Clyde ordered . His party did so .

[Melody activated Savior's barrage . ]

"Kitome, let's go . I need you to use it now," he said .

"Of course," Kitome said .

Hades laughed, slapping away the redhead's magic .

"You obviously take me too lightly . To think my niece, my Hidden Eye, and my own daughter would betray me . You do not understand how displeased I am . "

[Kitome activated--]

A boot kicked the blue-haired girl in the stomach . She fell backward . Hades's speed was nearly impossible to see . He glided past her without looking back .

[Kitome is dazed . Kitome is paralyzed . ]

[Kitome's HP has dropped to 40%]

Harumi prepared to heal . Hades headed her way .

"Hey, Hades," Clyde said . The ancient demon looked at him . "I f.u.c.ked your daughter . "

Everyone grew silent, even the partic.i.p.ants in the battle with the three women . The three were pretty much reaching their death beds—level forty-five's…Clyde found it to be a miracle that they survived . Maybe Hade's put up a barrier or whatever lucky anti-rocket underwear he wore extended its protection to them too .

Alice was so red with embarra.s.sment, Clyde almost laughed, but the gravity of the situation held it at bay . Harumi used the opening to heal the injured to the young man's relief . Truthfully, he couldn't keep up with every damage prompt—everyone fought . Except Neko . G.o.dd.a.m.n watchers .

Hades walked toward him .

"Killing you will break the spirit of your entire party . Prepare yourself, human . "

"Afraid of a human son-in-law one day?" Clyde said .

Hades's eyes widened just a tiny bit, but Clyde saw . And that was the opening he needed . Clyde noted the factors of this fight that kept everyone alive . Hades just lost everything—he's nowhere near top form . Among the traitors is his own blood . And well, the bombardment of magical girl magic . His mindset was exactly where Clyde needed it . A certain cooldown neared its completion .

This cooldown took forever now, but the holy and purity damage would end the fight .

[Hades activated h.e.l.l shot . ]

Clyde couldn't feel any airflows, had no time to dodge . The red energy ball hit him in the chest, cracked all of his barriers, knocking the wind out of the young man .

Clyde laughed as he stood .

"You overpowered son of a b.i.t.c.h, but that particular blight is all about mental torment . That won't work on me . "

Hades blurred to him, only to duck under the swing of Seth's flaming bat . He…ran Seth through with his blade, fired another h.e.l.l shot, this time at Toru, then re-engaged Clyde—all of that at a speed that wasn't quite a flash step but would pa.s.s as its baby cousin .

[Toru's HP has dropped to 51%]

Alice tended to his healing . Clyde focused on parrying the ancient demon's sword with his own . After a minute, he finally lured him over to Tear then moved out of the ancient demon's reach . Hade's seemed confused . Tear chuckled .

[Tear activated Holy ca.n.a.l]

[Hades activated Heightened magic s.h.i.+eld . ]

"Fools, all of you," Hades snapped . "Traitors and fools . And to think my own daughter lurked among them . Your punishment is going to be great, dear daughter . And niece, I'll marry you off to the goblin king . Maybe you'll think about this foolish rebellion while getting raped and humiliated . "

"Uncle, if you believe I can't kill them or you, then you're a bigger fool than us," Tear said .

"You killed Grandfather, killed Mother," Alice said . "Used me to get some dumb sphere . We could go on—but you disgust me . "

Hades chuckled .

"You believe that man will save you . He who destroyed the Ashfall family . "

"Guess I'll end up being the destroyer of the Hades family too," Clyde said . That seemed to anger the demon lord .

[Hades activated All-field Lightning cras.h.!.+]

Clyde put up a spirit s.h.i.+eld, Alice with him . As for everyone else, they took ma.s.sive damage . Harumi took very little, her lightning resistance coming into play . Alice held out her hand to heal, but Hades appeared from thin air, ceasing her delicate wrist . He shocked her with a jolt of dark magic .

[Hades used Agony bolts . ]

[Alice is paralyzed . ]

Then he did the unthinkable and threw his daughter off the three hundred-foot-high cliff, eyes still coldly on Clyde .

"f.u.c.k, Alice!" Clyde shouted, unleas.h.i.+ng his binder's hand . The tendrils of magic caught her . Hades punched the young man in the gut with the force that felt like a truck . He gasped, wheezed, but continued to pull Alice up .

"Die," Hades said with his hand aimed at the young man's head .

[Hades activated Gold tier skill: Armageddon Despair Blast . ]

Melody finally made her way behind the ancient demon and unleashed waves of magic that propelled the demon forward . Toru met him and unleashed a h.e.l.l of his Zen mode attacks .

[Hade's HP has dropped to 730%]

When Clyde pulled the young woman to safety, rage…so much rage filled him . He couldn't stop it . White aura surrounded him . Then it became blood red . Harumi took care of Alice when he released her .

"You… failure as a father," Clyde said, but his voice roared through the skies, shook the entire city . Winds blasted and howled . Thick electricity danced around the young man's skin . His eyes glowed .

He teleported in front of Hades and reached into his soul, like a spear to the heart . He wasn't sure what he was doing truthfully, but he cut the cord . An important connection to what made him feared .

[Hades can no longer use magic . ]

"You're bad enough to make her want to kill you," Clyde said . "I asked multiple times, hoping for a hint that you could be reasoned with . "

He punched Hades to the ground . f.u.c.k the cooldown of the magic . He'd deal with the awful pain of the strain later .

[Hade's HP has dropped to 50%]

"A single punch," Melody said, her voice nearly a whisper .

Clyde walked toward him . Hades trembled .

"This is impossible," he barked . "You're no human . You're one of them, aren't you? An ent.i.ty, interfering with our world . "

"Alice, how many crimes has he committed?" Clyde asked .

"Too many," she replied weakly .

"Tear, I trust you can handle this?" the young man said . Tear nodded .

"I'll have him in prison in five minutes . " She pulled out a phone .

"You can't do this," Hades snarled .

"Not the regular prison," Clyde said then grinned . Hades bolted for the cliff and he would've made it if the Stone wasn't angry enough to access his power . He caught him with a single hand . "All demonic murderers will be sent to the futas, but I suppose you already knew that . "

Clare and the others returned to Clyde with hardly any damage on them . The fight felt like it went on forever, but lasted maybe a few minutes . Everyone moved quickly, urgently .

"It's a shame I have to let so much experience go, but death is too much relief for you," Clyde said . "Below that cliff where you tossed Alice were sharp rocks . How can you live with yourself?"

"Do not place me with human emotions—that is an appropriate punishment for traitors," Hades snapped . He tried to fight his way out of Clyde's grip, but failed miserably . The young man turned him to his daughter .

"Apologize to her," he said coldly .

Hades spat, but Alice was far enough to miss it .

"What have you done to me? My power…I can't," he thrusted a hand forward but nothing happened .

Tear's succubus agents finally arrived .

"Take him away and get the Omen's sphere off him . That belongs to Clyde . "

"Well, so much for doing this to who'd probably be my father-in-law," Clyde said . "To the futas you go . "

"Wait," Hades said, struggling with all of his might . The succubus agents covered him in chains . "You can't do this! I don't have powers . You blew up my palace, you betrayed me . I ran this city—"

"You let your armies run rampant across the city, devouring human souls, even children," Alice said . "You set mom up, killed Grandfather, and used me . Nezerath had a trap to detain me . If it weren't for Clyde, I'd be getting tortured and raped right now and you wouldn't care . Take him away . "

A succubus whispered anguis.h.i.+ng words Hades .

"Giant Jenny's angry today . I hope you're ready . "

"Daughter, please," Hades said, sounding old .

Alice shot him a cold glare then kicked him in the face . Blood trickled from his nose like a plugged waterfall . The cool autumn afternoon made this event twice as gloomy .

"I should throw you off the cliff," she snarled then stormed off . "I want him there no less than one hundred fifty years . Make sure—"

A beautiful woman with large angelic wings appeared from nowhere . She was wearing a long white dress that seemed to cling to every curve . Long pale blonde hair fell to her back . Something about her seemed familiar .

"I'm afraid this one will be ours to put before trial," she said in a voice pure enough to shatter Clyde's rage . His transformation regressed, but the pain of strain seemed suppressed . "Human souls are a precious thing . "

Alice's eyes were wide then she dove into the angel's arms, crying .

"Mother, where have you been? What happened? How did you become an angel?"

"Mother?" Clyde and his friends said with exclaimed voices .

What the f.u.c.k is going on? Clyde thought . From the gazes of the others, they wondered the same thing . Hades was paler than snow . From the pure terror in his eyes, he looked as if he'd rather go to the futas .
