Jun Yexuan shut her up by pressing his lips against hers.
Just then, the car stopped by the sidewalk. The driver weakly announced, “We have arrived at UCC.”
Qiao Qing shoved Jun Yexuan away aggressively and hopped off the car.
With a dark face, Jun Yexuan screamed at the driver, “You're not getting paid this month.”
The driver cried tearlessly, “Young master, you didn't tell me to be silent when we arrive at our destination.
Jun Yexuan, “You're not getting paid.”
The driver's face now looked like a bitter melon, “Young master, can't I pay you back by doing good deeds?”
“You're not getting paid.”
The driver, “…”
Mu Jinghang leaned his head into his hands and complained, “Third bro, can't you give me a warning before you commit a crime next time? Look at the b.u.mp I got on my forehead!”
Jun Yexuan, “You're blaming me for you being an idiot?”
Mu Jinghang, “…”
Jun Yexuan closed his eyes and tasted the sweetness that lingered on his lips. When the car reignited he asked, “Am I her boyfriend now?”
Mu Jinghang, “… No?”
Jun Yexuan, “Huh?”
“YES!” Mu Jinghang rolled his eyes. Whatever made his third bro happy.
Jun Yexuan, “I think so too.”
Mu Jinghang, “…”
Qiao Qing had to walk all the way to the field for the heat on her cheeks to cool down.
When she found her cla.s.s, she saw that only half of her cla.s.s came.
She sat down on the gra.s.s. The cla.s.s representative, Ji Chen, came to her with a form and a pen, “Qiao Qing, can you fill this out? Our a.s.sistant professor asked for it but you weren't here this morning.”
Qiao Qing took over the stuff and began to fill it out.
Ji Chen didn't leave her alone. Instead, before everyone's eyes, he sat down across from her, “Were you… okay? That day?”
Qiao Qing didn't even look up, “I'm fine.”
Ji Chen asked hesitantly, “That instructor from that day… is he your… boyfriend?”
Qiao Qing shook her head, “No.”
“What about the guy who carried you away?”
Qiao Qing finally lifted her head to look at him with unfriendliness.
“I'm not trying to invade your privacy. Sorry.” Ji Chen scratched his head with a red face. He then changed the subject, “Wait, I meant to tell you. Our instructor got replaced. He asked why you weren't here this morning.”
Then he smiled and said as if asking for a reward, “I told him you had health issues and had asked for a sick day.”
Qiao Qing's face softened, “Thanks.”
“There's… no need.” Ji Chen's face was now thoroughly red but he continued to look for topics, “I saw the news today. Your friend is a celebrity?”
Qiao Qing nodded and handed him the filled form and pen, “It's done.”
“Ah? Oh!” Ji Chen retracted his gaze and took over the form. He glanced at it and saw something, “You're from the City of Brisk?”
Qiao Qing nodded.
Ji Chen said, “I heard someone scored full-score on the exam. That person is apparently from the City of Brisk. Do you know him? Did he come to UCC?”
Before Qiao Qing could answer, a girl from the side chimed in, “I heard about that too but there is absolutely no information about him. It's probably fake news?”
“The exam was so hard this year. In the entire nation, only 700 people placed on the honor roll. Getting full marks is a joke isn't it?”
“Even if it's true, he must've chosen to study abroad. Or else he would've been invited to speak at our opening ceremony for this school year.”
“But the student who made a speech was Tian Zhen from the City of Billow. He scored 723. He's most definitely the highest scorer in this nation who chose to attend this school.”
