Chapter 701 Working for him again

Jia Li couldnt help smiling and hugging Fu Hua to her chest. Its true that I may feel sad because I miss my parents, but its only for a brief moment because know that they are in a better place.

Okay, I get you! But making me rest my head on this soft pillow, isnt it a little too much? Its making me crave for something wild. Fu Hua teased with a smiling gaze on her.

Jia Li smiled and said, Oh! you are already craving something wild while I was seeking your warmth? Im sorry to disturb you, but you cant get the wild candy tonight because the baby doesnt permit you.

You lie. Our baby would want me as the father to be happy, so, lets go for one slow and steady round. Fu Hua said and immediately moved his head away from her chest and pounced on her.

Jia Li couldnt help giggling as he tickled her and showered her with kisses on her face, neck, and chest. Jia Li really thought that he had really wanted to get the wild candy, but she now came to understand that he was only teasing her.

When the few moments of play were over, Fu Hua brought Jia Li into his embrace before his hand went to her abdomen.

I cant wait for our baby to grow up quickly and come out already! I miss holding Jasmine when she was still so little. See how quickly she grew. Fu Hua said with a gentle gaze.

Jia Li liked the sensation she felt as he caressed her abdomen. She also felt so blissful knowing that she carrying another life in her.

I also cant wait to see our baby as well. Its really taking its time to grow. If anyone sees my bare abdomen, they would never know that I am pregnant. She said with a smile.

You are right, the baby its really taking its time to grow. Maybe your b.u.mp wouldnt be as big as the time you were carrying Jasmine. Lets wait and see. Fu Hua said as he slipped his hand inside her clothes so he could feel her abdomen more.

Jia Li closed her eyes in satisfaction and soon fell asleep in his arms.

When Fu Hua was able to hear her even breathing, he knew she was already deep into sleep, and so, kissed her forehead before closing his eyes to sleep next to her.

The next morning, Jia Li woke up feeling so much better. After receiving warm hugs from her daughter and her husband, she felt energized and ready for the days job.

After the normal breakfast with the entire family, everyone went about their daily business.

Fu Ling arrived at work at the usual time and was told that Xiulan has been waiting for him. He has asked her to come over for the matter pertaining to her debts, but he was surprised that she would come in the morning.

As he went into his office with Xiulan tailing behind him, he said to her, When I told you to come, I didnt mean this morning. I meant during lunch break or something.

I didnt dare to waste time for my benefit as well. I was really restless and couldnt wait to hear how I would repay my debts. Xiulan replied as she sat on the couch he pointed out for her.

Fu Ling noticed the fear in her tone and couldnt help smiling. Why are you so worked up? Im not going to ask you to kill anyone in other to pay off your debts, so you can sigh in relief.

Xiulan really took deep breaths to calm her nerves because her boss was usually unpredictable.

What method would I use to repay my debts? She asked with a curious gaze on him.

Fu Ling relaxed on the couch opposite hers and said with crossed legs, You mentioned taking 2 months advance payment from your workplace. It wouldnt be right to return the money even though you didnt use it, so I will give you 2 months to work off the advance payment and then come work for me.

If there were other ideas that Xiulan had about her form or mode of payment, this was surely not part of it.

For the next few seconds, Xiulan was silent. Fu Ling watched her silently, waiting for her response. For him, its not like she had any choice, so there was no need for her to try and refute him.

Truly, Xiulan had seen that she had no choice, but deep down in her heart, she was thinking of the reason her ex-boss wanted her to work for him again.

Has he forgotten the reason I asked to resign? Xiulan thought to herself.

There was this conflict in her heart because of that thought. Fu Ling noticed it and asked her to say whatever was in her mind.

Can you tell me what you are thinking right now? Do you have any objection?

Xiulan glanced at him and said with sincerity, Sir, have you forgotten the reason I quit in the first place? I dont want to be conflicted with my emotions and end up delaying my work progress.

With his gaze fixed on her as he s.h.i.+fted comfortably on the couch, he said calmly, I havent forgotten the reason you left, and that should not be a problem. You will not be working closely with me this time around, and we will rarely have contact with each other. But if your feelings remain the same, then we will do something about it.

Xiulan did not expect this kind of reply, and she didnt understand everything he said. She looked a little conflicted.
