This nurse will be here to care for your mother at any time. You can press this b.u.t.ton if there is an emergency when she steps out. The doctor explained.

Each patient in any of the VIP rooms gets a.s.signed to a nurse that will take care of them till they are discharged.

Xiulan was happy with this benefit, but she was a little annoyed within her. Knowing how much the VIP treatment would cost, she wondered why Fu Ling didnt give her that money to pay back the 50% that remained from the surgery.

When the doctor was about to leave, she asked him politely, Doctor, where is my bill, can I see it to know much Im owning?

The doctor smiled at her and said, You are not owing any bills in this hospital, your Boss already took care of everything. And since he was the one that paid for everything, we gave the receipt to him.

Xiulan watched in amazement as the doctor left with the two nurses.

She no longer owed the hospital and there was no pressure from them anymore, and now, she had only one person to face, and that was held former Boss, Fu Ling.

Xiulan forgot to contact Fu Ling after the surgery, she had so many thoughts going through her head, coupled with her concern for her mother.

It was not until she saw Fu Lings call on her phone that she remembered that he had asked her to call him once the survey was over.

Xiulan covered her mouth with her hands in panic. She was afraid of being scolded by her former Boss. Since she once worked for him, that fear of being scolded by him when a task was not done well, was still there.

At last, she answered the call, and before he could say anything to her, she hurried and apologized to him and told him the room they were moved to.

Fu Ling ended the call without saying anything. What could he say to her when her mind was distracted? She was no longer his employee, so he couldnt scold her.

Some minutes later, he arrived at the hospital and went straight to the VIP floor and got into the room number Xiulan had told him about.

Immediately she saw him, she got to her feet and apologized once again.

Fu Ling walked in with his hands in his pockets and went straight to the bed where her mother was laying with her eyes closed, and breathing with the help of an Oxygen mask.

How is your mother now, what did the doctor say? He asked without any sign of concern on his face.

Xiulan narrated everything the doctor had told her, and then remembered what he had also said about their hospital bills and also brought it up.

Sir, I heard from the doctor that you cleared all our bills and placed my mother here. You didnt have to pay for everything, they were going to do the surgery if I had paid them 50%. Xiulan said with a tensed gaze.

Fu Ling slowly moved his gaze from her mother to her. If you are grateful, you only have to thank me and quit complaining. Right now, you sound ungrateful and unsatisfied.

Xiulan fixed her gaze on the floor and refused to look up because she was guilty. Fu Ling was right, if she was grateful, she should have thanked him and shut her mouth instead of complaining.

He knew that there was a nurse a.s.signed to take care of her mother, so she could go back to work and come to take care of her mother after work each day till she was discharged.

Xiulan thanked him for his reminder, which was such a good idea. Now that her mother was no longer in danger, she could go back to work and start earning money because of the heavy debts she had to settle now.
