Chapter 589 The Interview IV

The reporters didn't want to get in trouble for the recent revelations she was making, so they immediately changed topics. This was truly a big revelation that would either make or mar them.

"Why did you choose to accept this interview, and reveal all your niece's secrets? What's your aim?" The female reporter asked.

Mu Keer didn't flinch, instead, she was very proud while answering the question.

"I want everyone to see the kind of person they thought was an angel. I also want Jia Li to pay for letting me and her cousins suffer when she had the ability and the resources to help us. I have been a good person for a long time, but it didn't pay me. Being a bad person won't pay me, but at least I can return the favor to my dearest niece."

There was nothing to ask her again, and even if there were more secrets, they were not interested to know, as she had already said enough.

"Miss Mu Keer, thank you for your time." The female reporter said.

"There is no problem. I'm happy that someone was willing to listen to me. But please, don't edit this video."

Mu Keer was afraid they would edit out all the important details she had revealed about Jia Li, so she deliberately reminded them not to edit it.

She was well aware of the influence of the Fu family. She thought the reporters would be afraid of them, and so, will not upload the full video without making edits.

The reporters ended the video and promised to upload her video without editing it.

After the reporters left, Mu Keer smiled to herself, as she has succeeded in ruining Jia Li's reputation.

Some minutes later, she phoned Carlos to tell him about the end of the interview.

Carlos was with Alix when she called, and at the first ring, he answered the call as it was something important.

"Mr. the interview ended a few minutes ago, and the reporters have just left." Mu Keer said in a happy tone.

"Really? Did you tell them everything you wanted to reveal about your niece?" Carlos probed, while Alix listened from the side.

Being asked that question, Mu Keer chuckled, as it reminded her of venting her anger to her heart's content.

"Why not I made sure to make use of this golden opportunity to vent my anger, and take revenge on my niece."

"Good! I'm happy for you." Carlos said without a smile. His tone sounded normal, but he wasn't smiling. Since Mu Keer wasn't with him, she couldn't tell his facial expression.

Mu Keer thought that he would mention paying her the rest of her money according to the agreement, but he didn't. Since he wasn't saying anything about that, she was forced to remind him about it.

"Mr. Carlos, I want to remind you of my balance, I have done my part." Mu Keer said while smiling sheepishly.

She was thick-skinned and that's why she could ask for her money without feeling embarrassed.

Carlos glanced at Alix while replying to her, "Your balance? I haven't forgotten about it. When the video is up, I will send it to you."

Mu Keer was not happy about the reply. She thought she could get the rest of her payment which was a lot of money immediately, as stated in the agreement she had signed. But to her disappointment, that didn't seem to be happening.

Knowing that all she could do was to exercise a lot of patience for the interview to be publicized before she could get her money, she agreed to wait.

"Okay, Mr. I will be waiting for your call." Mu Keer said.

Carlos ended the call without another word, then she went on to block her.

"Is that woman asking for her balance?" Alix who had been silent asked.

"Yes. She is really after the money, but I'm sorry to disappoint her. She won't get her balance as I'm acting under your orders." Carlos said with a smile and put down the phone.

Alix smiled and adjusted her sitting position. "Why would I give her the sum of money, am I crazy? She is just a poor useless woman, she doesn't deserve my money. I only enticed with her the thousand dollars so she could be fast and very. operative with us. Now she wants her balance, what does she think she's worth?"

"She thinks she is worth the sum of money you promised without her asking for it," Carlos answered.

"Oh please! That woman is brainless. It will take her a few days to realize she has been used. She should keep patiently waiting to be arrested. I'm sure the Fu and the other family won't spare her." Alix said.

Her intention was never to pay Mu Keer all the money she promised because she was related to Jia Li, and she didn't deem her worthy of that sum of money.

She intentionally was getting Mu Keer into trouble, because there was no way the Fu and the Huang family would spare her after exposing such secrets to the world.

Mu Keer would have only had to deal with the Fu family if she didn't mention that Huang Li was related to the Huang family, but now, she succeeded in making the two big families come after her.

Surely, there was no escape route for her or a chance of survival. She would be finished for good in time. I mean, it wouldn't be so bad if she joined her husband where he was.

"At least you bought lunch for her and gave her money that day we met her. It should be enough for her. I don't even pity this one who would go to such lengths to destroy her niece's life." Carlos said in disgust.

"You know she is no different than me, except that I have a high IQ and I'm rich. So, if one day you were to find me in that situation as her which has a 99% chance of not happening, would you abandon me?" Alix asked as she rested her gaze on him.

Carlos stared back at her and reply, "When that time comes, I will know."
