Chapter 554: Loved

Daiyu totally forgot to tell Jia Li about meeting YingPei. DanDan and Chang Chang forgot as well as they all went back to their jobs when they traveled back to their various homes.

They had intended to tell her but then, she was on her honeymoon and they didn't want to distract her. Before her honeymoon phase could end, they had forgotten about it.

"Hello... Jia Li, I don't know if you can hear me but if you can, please just hold on a bit, I will call you back later." Daiyu said and ended the call without waiting for a response.

She immediately expressed her chest while breathing in relief. She just pretended to have network issues to avoid being scolded by her.

Jia Li knew she was pretending but what could she do? Even if she calls her back at this moment, she wouldn't answer.

Although Jia Li did not understand the situation clearly, she only thought that they must have forgotten to inform her just like Fu Hua and YingPei.

Jia Li sent a short text to Daiyu which said, 'Take your time.'

She definitely had no bad intentions and just sent the text over to calm her nerves but she saw it differently. Daiyu saw it as a threat and thought that she must be in danger, so she called the others to give them updates.

After much talk, Daiyu called Jia Li back after she must have settled in, in her apartment to explain things to her.

Jia Li was surprised by the seriousness of her tone but she laughed over it before saying she wasn't angry.

Daiyu finally heaved a sigh of relief after hearing Jia Li's relaxed tone. The two friends talked for a short while before hanging up.

Jia Li had a very busy day today. She had so many things to inspect and do. Fu Hua couldn't have his wife working so hard to the point of exhaustion, so he had to drag her into the bedroom to rest.

Late in the evening, Jia Li tried playing Fu Ling's new game with Jasmine because they were going to try it out tomorrow in front of a lot of guests.

The mother and daughter had fun playing the game which they played several times till it was time for dinner.

The Fu family had fun at the dinner table, as what was being taken about was relayed to the little bun.

The little girl who had her special toddler sit between her mother and great grandfather smiled happily as she enjoyed her dinner.

Jasmine has come to understand a little of what birthdays meant and she was excited to celebrate her birthday the next day.

When Jia Li was little, her parents would never fail to celebrate her birthday each year and that's where she got the spirit to celebrate Jasmine's birthday from and also with a lot of effort in preparation.

The next morning, Jia Li was the last person to wake up. She slept in and her alarm was turned off by Fu Hua who wanted her to get extra sleep.

Do you know, what woke Jia Li up from sleep? It was the voices of the father and daughter singing to her.

'Happy Birthday to mommy, Happy Birthday, to mommy, Happy Birth...day to dear mo...my, Happy Birthday to you!' 1

The combination of the deep adult male voice and the excited voice of the little girl was a great one.

Jia Li felt a little excited as she watched the father and daughter push in a trolley of cake and a bouquet while singing for her.

She didn't believe Fu Hua would come up with another idea this year and for that she felt very happy.

After receiving the flowers her little one managed to pass to her, Jia Li leaned in to kiss her cheeks and wished her a happy birthday as well.

"Happy Birthday my baby."

"Thank you, Mommy!" Jasmine replied with a big smile on her tender chubby cheeks.

Jia Li did not want to cut the cake alone, so she asked Fu Hua and the little girl to join her. Right when they were about to cut the cake, someone opened their room door violently.

"Surprise!!!" The Fu family members shouted as YingPei popped the champagne in his hands as loads of excitement resonated in the room. 2

Jia Li was shocked by the big surprise she had just gotten. She was still in her nighties, which also means that she wasn't wearing a bra, so she immediately covered her upper body with the duvet.

Fu Hua and Jasmine were a little surprised because they were not expecting to receive this surprise intrusion from the entire family.

Grandfather Fu was present and other elders (his parents with his uncle and his wife) as well, so Fu Hua couldn't tell them off.

The entire family walked in while singing a birthday song for Jia Li. Not just that their hands were not empty either, as they had wrapped up birthday gifts for her.

Jia Li felt loved once again. No matter how she was only after celebrating Jasmine's birthday, the Fu family would make an effort to celebrate her as well.

After singing for her, they cut the cake which had Jia Li's name on it, then everyone had a bite before leaving the bedroom.

It was almost time for breakfast, so Jia Li had to hurry up to each her body and get dressed. She did that while Fu Hua helped her to put away her gifts and tidy up the bedroom.

After breakfast, Jia Li's friends arrived and they spent a short time together. The Fu Mansion was filled with different aromas, as a result of the different delicacies being cooked by the chefs in their kitchen.

Jasmine had a short break and she played with Paco until the hairstylists and photographers came to take professional photos of her.

Jasmine never let Paco out of her sight. She would even go on to carry him while her hair was being worked on. 1

Luckily, the little girl didn't complain of pains, maybe it's because she had Paco.
