Chapter 474: Don't get too hard on yourself

Jia Li looked surprised as she asked, "What! I fell asleep in the bathtub last night?"

The little bun who didn't seem to care about what her parents were talking about, climbed into her mother's arms and the latter was forced to spare her a glance before hugging her.

"You did after how much I pleaded with you not to do that. But I guess you were so tired that you couldn't control yourself." Fu Hua replied.

"This is a serious deal. But wait, what's the time? How come my alarm didn't ring today?" Jia Li questioned with a frown.

"I turned off your alarm so you can sleep a little longer this morning. You woke up 5 minutes ago, so the time is 7:20, you might have to go and freshen up now." Fu Hua said after glancing at the clock on the nightstand.

Fu Hua deliberately let Jia Li sleep for that long and only allowed Jasmine to go wake her up when he felt the time was right.

Jia Li was helpless. She didn't know she was that tired and slept off in the bathtub and now, she couldn't argue with her husband for turning off her alarm as she planned to leave for work early.

Jia Li did not immediately leave to go to the bathroom, instead, she spent about 10 minutes with Jasmine, smooching each other and making small talks before going to have her bath.

When Jia Li finished freshening up and returned to the bedroom, she discovered that breakfast has already been served.

She sneezed again as she walked towards the couch to sit. Jasmine was ready to eat, so when her mother appeared, she smiled happily.

Before leaving for work, Jia Li fed Jasmine while eating and after doing so, she kissed the father and daughter before leaving for work.

The fourth dress Jia Li had to work on, was a little complicated so she was still cutting the materials which took over 3 hours because of the complicated style before she started sewing the edges. After sewing the edges, she and her assistants started working on the material to use the required dyes and designs Jia Li chose for it.

During the lunch break, Jia Li could feel her head pounding softly, so she went out to buy some drugs. She believed she caught a cold last night because she kept on sneezing and feeling a little throbbing in her head.

Fu Hua was working on establishing new collections next year, so he was currently studying the market and some trends. He was not studying the trends in the market to follow them but to predict the next style that could sell and start working on it.

He didn't want FJ to follow trends but rather he wanted FJ to create trends the market and other companies will follow and that was the future he had for FJ.

Even while being occupied with work, Fu Hua didn't forget to check up on his wife during lunch break. Jia Li had just finished taking her drugs when Fu Hua's call came in.

"Hey, how are you doing?" Fu Hua asked in a gentle tone.

"I'm doing great, and you?" Jia Li asked.

"I'm good, how is work going and I hope you have eaten something?" Fu Hua inquired. He knew Jia Li could skip lunch if she came to forget the time to come back home while working.

"I just finished eating. Work is going on smoothly. I'm on my fourth dress, I will start laying the bases once I go back to my workspace.

"You have two assistants working for you, don't work alone and remember to assign tasks to them. If you need any extra help, speak to Sunny about it, she will help you because no team leader will want her team to lose." Fu Hua advised.

Jia Li moved the phone away from her ear and sneezed twice before moving the phone back to her ear and rubbing her nose with her free hand.

Fu Hua heard her sneeze and asked in a worried tone, "Do you still have a cold? Have you taken any drugs? Hold on, I will ask Zimo to get you some drugs now, I will..."

"I just took some drugs now, I will be fine, no need to send Zimo to bring anything. My time is up already, I have to get back to work, talk to you later...bye." Jia Li said and ended the call immediately. She didn't want Fu Hua to worry about her and besides, she had taken some drugs which she believes will help her to feel better.

Fu Hua was still restless and didn't feel assured by his wife's words. But since she has taken drugs for her cold he sent Zimo to get two cups of hot milk tea and send it to her.

Although Jia Li should get some sleep to feel better, Fu Hua knew she wouldn't listen to him and so sent her two cups of milk tea to keep warm, not minding what anyone would think if they saw Zimo delivering the tea to Jia Li.

When Jia Li returned to her workplace, she settled down and continued with her work. She had to start sewing immediately as she had no time to waste.

Sunny came to check up on her and how far she has done with her current work. While giving her a few pointers, Jia Li sneezed thrice within a minute.

A frown appeared on Sunny's face as she asked, "Did you catch a cold?"

"Yes but I will be fine. I just took cold medicine." Jia Li replied.

"Don't get too hard on yourself. I will be right back." Sunny said to her before turning to leave for her office.

Jia Li didn't know that Sunny left to order coffee for everyone and got milk tea for her. She thought she had something else to do and didn't mind her leaving.

But some minutes later, there were 3 cups of hot milk tea in front of her. Zimo sent someone to deliver 2 cups to her, while Miss Sunny personally brought one over by herself.

The person that delivered the coffee to Jia Li told her that Zimo asked him to bring it to her but she knew it was Fu Hua that sent it. As for Miss Sunny, she was surprised to see 2 cups of milk tea on Jia Li's table.

"I didn't know there were other people that cared about you this much and now, I'm tempted to take back my milk tea," Sunny said with a calm gaze.
