Chapter 472 - The Fu Family's Worry

Coming back home from work, Jia Li was so exhausted that she went straight to lay on the bed without taking off her clothes. She really wanted to close her eyes right now and only open them the next morning.

Some minutes later, Fu Hua walked into the room with the sleeping little bun in his arms. They just finished having lunch when they all learned that Jia Li was back.

Everyone at the dining table was worried about Jia Li coming back so late and leaving so early in the morning. Her health was more important than any other thing but Jia Li did not see things that way as the competition was very important to her.

No one was saying that she shouldn't work hard but they all felt that she was too serious with it but there was no way they would stop her from doing what she liked while knowing how important the competition was to her.

The only thing they could do for her was to tell Fu Hua to talk to her to take it easy, while Fu Lei personally arranged for a small security team of three soldiers to watch over her.

It was not safe for her to drive back home alone at night, so sending a security team to ensure her safety would be the best bet.

Since they couldn't stop Jia Li from working, they could at least make sure she is safe.

Fu Lei wanted to do something for Jia Li, as it always looked like he doesn't care or contribute to her welfare but that was not true. He was always away from work and there were other people taking care of his daughter-in-law but today, he decided to do this after thinking hard.

Fu Hua agreed to his father's arrangement and also listened to his grandfather to speak to Jia Li, as they were all concerned about her.

Jasmine slept off in her dinner seat while eating. The little girl was so tired from the activities in the evening and slept off while eating, so Fu Hua had to bring her away.

Seeing his wife on the bed while still in her work clothes, Fu Hua walked towards the bed quietly to put down their little daughter before leaving for the bathroom and returned some seconds later with a warm towel to clean her face and hands.

The little bun already had a bath before dinner, so all Fu Hua had to do was wipe her face, hands and legs. After doing that, Fu Hua covered her with a thick blanket as this was Winter.

Glancing at his wife who was sleeping so soundly, Fu Hua sighed and went to her side to lift her in his arms before walking into the inner room.

Jia Li was already deep in sleep but when he placed her on the couch in the walk-in closet, she became conscious and slowly opened her eyes to see Fu Hua unbuttoning her shirt.

"Hey..." She greeted in a tired tone.

"I don't need to ask you how your day was because I can see it already." Fu Hua said to her with creased brows as he took off her shirt.

Jia Li sighed and said to him, "I don't have any option left other than to give in my best. I want to bring out the best in me this season and to do that, it will take a toll on me of which I'm prepared for."

"What about your little daughter, you haven't had time to spend with her for the last few days. Work is important but don't neglect your family." Fu Hua said to her as he moved her tired body to lean on him while his hands moved to her back to unhook her bra.

"I will spend time with her on Sunday, as that is the only time I won't have to go to work. But other days, I can only cuddle her to sleep or meet her during dinner. I promise this won't take time." Jia Li said in a low tone.

She didn't purposely want to abandon her little child. She lacked time and that was the problem. Another thing is that she couldn't work from home, she had to work in the office and that is the reason she spends a lot of time at work these days.

If it was possible to work on the dresses from home, she would get to spend some time with her little daughter but that was not possible.

Fu Hua stared into her eyes and seeing how tired she was, didn't feel like scolding or speaking to her. He was sure that she hasn't had dinner yet.

"I have set the bath for you, you need to cleanse off the day's stress, while I go get you dinner." Fu Hua said as he took off her skirt before walking a few steps to bring a bathrobe for her.

Fu Hua covered her body with the bathrobe and tied it before escorting her to the bathroom to take a bath.

After watching her settle into the bathtub, Fu Hua said to her, "Don't sleep here, I'm going to get your dinner."

"I won't sleep here, don't worry you can leave." Jia Li assured him.

Fu Hua was not satisfied with her response and said to her with a frown, "I'm serious, don't sleep here. The only reason I set the bath for you, is because I thought you would be too tired to stand and have a shower but looking at how tired you are, it seems that you won't be able to hold off but don't worry, I won't take long."

"Mmm..." Jia Li hummed in response. What could she? She can't deny the fact that she was so sleepy right now that she wouldn't resist dozing off if she mistakenly shut her eyes. If Fu Hua continued to speak to her, she would manage to stay awake.

"Don't sleep, just sponge your body for a few seconds and wash everything off. I don't want you to catch a cold by sleeping in there.." Fu Hua said one more time before walking away while hoping that his wife doesn't fall asleep in the bathtub.
