Chapter 224 - You Hit Me?

The next day when Fu Hua came to work, Sunny went to meet him. She was unhappy as she explained that Jia Li rejected their offer.

Fu Hua told her to leave the matter and focus on her job. The way he said it made Sunny think he wasn't bothered or concerned about it.

Being instructed by her Boss, she went back to her office. She felt it was a pity that such talent as Jia Li was wasted.

Seeing how popular she has been for the past several days and the big opportunities she missed, Jia Li promised to get into FJ on her own, without any help from Fu Hua.

After making this decision, she doesn't tell Fu Hua about it.

On Christmas Eve, all the members of the Fu family returned to the Fu House in preparation for the festive day.

Fu Hua's father and Uncle came back for the Christmas celebration and also returned with gifts for Jia Li's graduation because they didn't give anything to her during that period.

Before going back to the Fu House, Fu Hua and Jia Li shopped a lot. They bought new protective clothes because of the freezing weather. They also bought a lot of gifts for everyone and Jia Li bought a special present for the old man.

On the 24th of December when they arrived at the Fu House, there was a feeling of celebration in the air and Jia Li couldn't help but smile.

The entire house was decorated with Christmas decors and it was done in a grand style, as expected from the wealthiest family in Country X.

Christmas tones were playing from the lights used to decorate the Christmas tree ????. Jia Li was too excited to hide it.

During lunch, the dining room was full of an ambiance atmosphere, as everyone ate and drank to the heart's content.

Jia Li personally went to feed Ocean. She couldn't leave her dog behind and brought it with her to the annoyance of Fu Hua.

Jia Li fed Ocean with her hand till she was full. Fu Hua was annoyed while watching her and said, "Why are you treating it like it's your child?"

"Ocean has been with me since she was a puppy, so it's not wrong that I'm attached to her. And also, I'm learning and gaining experience on how to treat my child when it's born." Jia Li replied as she passes one meatball to Ocean and she ate it from her hand.

"Did you say your child? Does the child belong to you alone?" Fu Hua asked with a frown.

"My bad, it's our child." Jia Li corrected herself with her attention on Ocean.

Fu Hua became more annoyed and said, "I feed you and the child but you have never thought about feeding me, I can't be compared to a dog now, is that it?"

"You are a Big Boss, how can I dare to treat you like a child?" Jia Li asked with her gaze on him.

"I don't care, you have to treat me well. It's snowing again, we have to go inside the house." Fu Hua said when he saw it was starting to snow.

Already, the compound was filled with snow.

"Give me a minute." Jia Li said as she gave Ocean the last meatball, before rubbing her head.

"Ocean, I'm going back inside the house, I will come to see you tomorrow morning."

Fu Hua did not wait for her to finish her lovey-dovey act with Ocean before dragging her out from there.

Ocean became jealous and started barking. Fu Hua turned back to glare at her, before continuing his steps with Jia Li.

When Jia Li left, the caregiver took care of Ocean and sent her into her kennel.

The caregiver was trained and used to take care of Ocean right from when it was a puppy, so Ocean wouldn't hurt him.

In the evening, Fu Juan came over with her husband and it was the first time Jia Li was seeing him.

Fu Juan's husband looked calm and composed and overall, he looked like he was very good looking when he was younger.

During dinner, the family conversed and surprisingly, nobody remembered about ethics and manners, as the dining room was harmonious.

After dinner, Fu Hua took Jia Li to the bedroom immediately. Jia Li thought he wanted to get in bed with her and started to protest.

"Fu Hua, I'm tired, can we not do it today?" Jia Li asked with a worried gaze.

Fu Hua flicked her forehead with his fingers and she hissed in pain and covered that place with her palm.

"How can your brain be rotten? I brought you here to sleep for a while because there will be fireworks ???? from 11:55 PM. I don't want you to get tired out early." Fu Hua explained.

Jia Li did not reply, as her eyes because misty with tears threatening to fall from her eyes.

Fu Hua got the shock of his life when he saw that she was about to cry. He immediately asked what was wrong as he placed his hands on her shoulder with a worried gaze on her.

"You hit me!" Jia Li cried out as tears streamed down her cheeks ????

"You...You... why are you crying? I didn't even go hard on you and I was only joking." Fu Hua said in a dilemma.

He didn't understand how a joke turned to him hitting her and she was seriously crying because of it.

"You hit me! You hit me and your child!" Jia Li cried out again as she pushed him away and went to sit on the foot of the bed.

Fu Hua felt he was in deep trouble and immediately rushed to her side. He squat before her and started apologizing to her as he dried her tears with the back of his hands.

"Jia Li, I'm sorry okay? It won't happen again. Stop crying, I'm sorry." Fu Hua saw that her tears were falling endless and immediately added...

"You can hit me back, so we are even. Please don't cry anymore, I promise not to flick your forehead again." Fu Hua promised.

Jia Li stopped crying and allowed him to wipe her tears. Even she didn't understand why she would burst into tears like that.

When Fu Hua wanted to leave after calming her down, she refused and asked him to stay with her, so he had no choice but to accompany her till she fell asleep, before leaving the bedroom.
