Chapter 142 - Do You Have To Take The Drugs Everyday?

Fu Hua considered that Jia Li was pregnant, and truly they needed a bigger house with a bigger room to expand their workshop, so he agreed to go take a look at the house.

But also, he didn't like the way his old man was always in control of the situation. Going to take a look at the house is also an excuse to find faults.

He wanted to make his own choice of moving into his own place and not the house someone got for him. But since the old man said it's a wedding gift, he couldn't refuse it.

When Fu Hua went to see the place, he didn't find any faults, and he knew the old man was prepared to counter his excuses.

The painting on the walls, the interior decors, and the kind of pieces of furniture in the house, were really to his taste. There was no flaw apart from the workshop that was left to him to arrange by himself.

Picking up his phone, he called the old man.

"Grandfather, I have seen the house. Since it's a wedding gift, you should have completed the renovation, why did you leave the workshop out?" Fu Hua asked.

"There's no need insisting on something I do not know about. Design it as you like. How is Li girl?" Grandfather Fu asked.

"She's fine. She had an exam today." Fu Hua replied.

"Okay, I will see you two this weekend." Grandfather Fu said to him.

Fu Hua didn't have anything to say to him, therefore, their conversation came to an end.

Fu Hua didn't want to tell the old man that Jia Li was pregnant, since he hasn't spoken to Jia Li to deliberate on the matter if they wanted their family members to know about it.

From the new apartment, Fu Hua drove straight home. From the door, he could perceive the aroma of the food Jia Li had just prepared.

Going to the living room, Fu Hua was amazed. Jia Li stepped out of the kitchen with a big bowl of soup ???? and saw him staring at the dishes.

"You're back? Food is ready, wash up and come to eat."

"You cooked all of these?" Fu Hua asked with his gaze on her.

Jia Li glanced at the food with a little confusion before glancing back at him and asked, "Yes, Is something wrong?"

"You cooked a lot today, are we celebrating something?" Fu Hua inquired.

"No, I just felt like making them. The weather is so cold, so I made so many dishes that could dispel the cold." Jia Li replied with a half-truth.

"Oh! That's good. I will be right back." Fu Hua said before leaving her sight.

A smile appeared on Jia Li's face as she watched him leave.

You need to know the reason Jia Li was so happy today. She just saw on the internet about Fu Hua clarifying his relationship with Feng Alix, and also Grandfather Fu standing up for her, that was enough reason for her to be happy.

She also wished that Fu Hua could explain things to her, so she wouldn't have to think too much, but it wasn't possible with Fu Hua.

Fu Hua was someone that wasn't used to explaining himself. If he encounters a problem just like the one with Feng Alix, he would settle it without saying anything.

Somehow, Fu Hua wasn't to blame for not explaining things to Jia Li, because of his personality, and when Jia Li was behaving oddly with him, he had no idea it was because of that matter with Feng Alix, and that was the reason he didn't think he should explain anything to her.

Moreover, he had already settled the case.

When Fu Hua came back, he joined Jia Li on the dining table. He allowed Jia Li to serve him a bowl of rice, and while eating, he made some efforts to put some food on her plate.

Fu Hua felt weird doing that because he has not done that for anybody before, so he wasn't used to it. But he just wanted to give it a try.

Jia Li felt blissful and continued to eat the food Fu Hua would occasionally put on her plate.

This was not the right time for her to think if he loves her or cared for her or if he was doing all of these because of the child.

Well before too, Fu Hua used to take care of her, so she couldn't say it's because of the baby she was receiving the extra care.

After eating for a while, Jia Li left the dining table and returned a few minutes later with black leather.

Fu Hua had his gaze on her, and finally, he looked away with a scrunched-up nose ???? when he smelled the drugs that Jia Li brought out.

Fu Hua literally held his breath till Jia Li swallowed all her drugs before he glanced back at her.

"Do you have to take these drugs every day?" He asked with a frown.

Jia Li glanced at him as she replied, "Yes. The doctor said I have to take them every day because it helps with the baby's development."

"Oh!" Fu Hua responded.

Fu Hua didn't like the smell of drugs, and he also didn't like them, but how could he tell Jia Li not to take the drugs in his presence again?

After dinner, Fu Hua told Jia Li about them moving houses before the weekend and visiting the Fu house during the weekend.

Jia Li didn't have any problems with that, but Fu Hua was worried about her exams, so he asked, "When are your next exams?"

"We are through for this week. But I just need to submit my assignment on Friday." Jia Li replied.

"What do you have next week?" Fu Hua asked.

"You mean in school?" Jia Li asked, and when she saw him nod, she answered, "Dressmaking."

"That's fine. Since we are going back home this weekend, do you want to announce your pregnancy to the family?" Fu Hua asked with a patient gaze on her.
