On the other hand, if he didnt manage to get that partys recognition and recommendation, then Shien would have no choice but to retreat from the path of an adventurer.

Adventurer is the kind of job where they often have to experience life or death battles with demonic beasts, and they have to deal with various kinds of request makers. Some of those may even include people with high status, so if they want to complete that kind of requests, theyll need various kinds of knowledge and abilities. Its unrealistic to think that one could do things like its a game or certain novels, where they could easily join and earn an enormous fortune just by completing a ton of requests. The adventurers guild is an organization thats spread across the world. To have been able to develop to this point requires a great deal of reputation and fame. If they just filled up their ranks with whomever and those people ended up making a mess of requests or failed to complete any request, then the guild would be the one to be distrusted by the populous.

Therefore, if someone wants to be an adventurer, theyll need to pass the tests.
