Chapter 564 - Fate

"Should we prepare a feast, Master Eres?" the girl ran up to the lady and grabbed her arm.

The lady named Eres turned her head slightly to face her, her brows furrowed.

"Min'er, when did you come back?" she asked the girl, "No it doesn't matter now. Come take a look," she shook her head once and gestured towards the pond.

Qiu Min was the girl's name. She was the youngest disciple of the tower.

Eres was also the tower master here, an extremely powerful individual despite her youthful appearance. Now she was the one that would be in charge of Princess Ceni.

Qiu Min leaned forward and examined the images in the pond.

It showed Ceni standing over the now unconscious Hao Xuan. He wasn't breathing and most of his skin was burnt off but still healing rapidly.

Ceni picked up his body and carried him over to a nearby tree where the grass was long enough. She gently placed him on the grass. Then she took out some kind of a medicinal paste and started applying it to his hands and face which had the most severe burns.

All of this was being shown on the pond's surface with extreme clarity. Even the sounds were coming through.

Qiu Min looked at them for a few seconds before her brows scrunched up as well.

"Master is she...?"

"Yes. She will be joining us soon. Soon you won't be the youngest anymore."

"Yay! I will be a senior sister soon!" Qiu Min jumped with joy, inviting a light slap from Eres.

"Focus! I want you to read their futures. Do they go well together?"

Qiu Min rubbed her arm with an exaggerated hurtful expression.

"Yes..."

She looked at the pond again. This time the whites of her eyes completely vanished, becoming pitch black throughout.

Her hair started fluttering without any wind as she looked at the pond without blinking for several minutes. Small beads of cold sweat formed on her forehead.

This went on for three minutes or so before she finally blinked and her eyes returned to normal.

Her body swayed and she was about to fall but Eres grabbed her and helped her sit down beside her.

"What...did you see?" Eres asked hesitantly. Seeing the future was always risky. Sometimes knowing too much would be a hindrance and could create new problems.

Qiu Min wiped the sweat off her forehead with her sleeve and let out a breath of turbid air.

"She is so strong. Her blood is seething with power but there is something blocking it."

Eres nodded, "Yeah she has two bloodlines. They are not working together so we're already working on fixing that."

Qiu Min shook her head.

"No you got it wrong, master. It's not that her bloodlines are clashing with one another, but someone is making them appear that way on purpose. Someone very close to her."

"What?! Someone is doing that on purpose?" Eres's brow shot up in surprise.

They had scrutinized every little detailed about Ceni before contacting her, how was it possible that they missed something this big?!

Qiu Min nodded, "Yes. Who are her parents?"

"Her father is a pureblood Vampire, and her mother is a succubus. Could it be her father? Does he not want her to awaken her bloodline since it would spell trouble for the crown prince?"

"Vampire and a succubus..." Qiu Min repeated her master's words with a pondering expression.

But she shook her head again soon after, "No, it should be her mother then. I couldn't even clearly see her fate lines because someone was blocking me. Her mother is much more powerful than you thought, master."

Eres jumped up from her seat.

"She was able to block you?!"

Qiu Min was a seer. A bona fide seer trained by her organization. She could see other people's future and even predict a few things here and there. Although she was young, her powers were unquestionable.

To be able to block a seer's abilities, it couldn't be done just by any random person.

Qiu Min nodded, "Yes. But I stopped before she could sense I was there. As for that boy, it doesn't look good."

She looked towards Hao Xuan's image in the pond, "The day he met her, his fate changed for the worse. Something terrible will happen to him soon even if he survives her. I only see blood and darkness in his future. He will be used again and again until either he dies or breaks out of the cycle."

"Poor him, so much pain..." she muttered weakly.

Qiu Min lowered her head, refusing to look at the pond again. Meanwhile, Eres was occupied with other things.

A short bout of silence followed after. Qiu Min's spirits had already been dowsed in water and a solemn expression adorned her pretty face as she waited for her master.

Eres looked at the pond again and saw Ceni innocently smiling without a care in the world as she gently brushed Hao Xuan's hair with her fingers. Right now they looked like two completely normal people

Eres couldn't help but let out a deep sigh.

Ceni had gotten too attached to Hao Xuan. Part of it was because of their bloodlines, but mostly it was because of Ceni's own situation.

She didn't have any real friends and no one to talk to. Meeting Hao Xuan gave her an outlet for all of her suppressed emotions and she one-sidedly latched onto him without even realizing it.

The more she was told to stay away, the stronger these emotions got and now...well, it had bloomed into something more, for better or for worse.

"Tell Cao'er to come see me as soon as she arrives. Maybe she can give me some insight," Eres said while patting Qiu Min on the head.

"Yes," Qiu Min gave a respectful bow and feebly walked away. Even her steps had become lighter. She had lost too much energy.

Back on the Beast World in the Kingdom of Edda, in the depths of the Royal Palace was a chamber lined with naked bodies.

Male, female, human, non-humans, all sorts of bodies 'wrestled' with one another on the floor. At first glance, there were more than a hundred people here.

The look on each person's face was that of delight, satisfaction, pleasure, or unquenchable desire as they bit at everything in front of their faces without restraint.

A bed large enough to accommodate a dozen people was placed on the other side, overlooking the hedonistic scene.

In the middle of the bed was a beautiful girl no older than twenty. The bottom half of her face was partially covered with a see-through red cloth.

Around her were nine beautiful men and women, gently massaging her hands and feet.

They seemed to be in a drunken stupor as they mumbled to themselves.

"Such beautiful hands mistress has!"

"The feet! The lovely lovely feet!"

It seemed like they were incapable of harboring any other thoughts.

The girl in the middle was laying there with her eyes closed when suddenly she sat up. When she opened her eyes, everyone in the room stopped whatever they were doing and looked towards her without blinking.

Her eyes resembled purple gemstones, hypnotically divine.

"Who dares peek at my Ceni's fate? Have they lost their minds?!"

Although her tone was filled with anger, the euphony of her melodious voice made everyone listening smile foolishly.
