Volume 1 Chapter 10

Angel took Morrow to the Pendulum building where his mentor was located.

“My mentor is resting, Sir Morrow, and with all due respect, help me find out.”

Morrow nodded and Angel stepped up to the second floor.

“This house is so wonderful, I didn't expect to see such a strange building in the old mainland.”

Morrow gave a slight compliment on the shape of the Pendulum building.

He has seen a lot of strange buildings in the mainland. Although the structure of the Pendulum Building is original, it still belongs to the mortal category.

The biggest reason for his praise is that the builder of the Pendulum Building is an ordinary mortal.

Although Morrow did not care about the Pendulum building, Alan and Irene could not bear their curiosity and walked around the cabin, braving the rain near the vines in the yard, and watching Jon's vegetables and fruits.

Brother and sister had not completely left their juvenile nature, even if they pretended to be mature, from time to time their behavior still implied a hint naivety, this pure childishness, let everyone unconsciously smile.

Leon saw that the two were interested in the grape lattice, and in a flash, he took out two bottles of red wine that had been sealed for two years from the cellar and filled it for the crowd.

The wine has a mellow taste and a depressing aroma.

Through the friends.h.i.+p of wine, Leon and Eaton talked about the front line, Eaton also wanted to break the embarra.s.sment of silence, as the two hit it off, the atmosphere soon became relaxed.

At the other end, Angel came upstairs and first woke up the mute servant and helped his mentor change his clothes.

Then let the mute servant turn to leave, his tutor had asked the reason why.

Jon was woken up in the middle of the night,

His consciousness did not fully recover for a moment, and it was not until Angel uttered the word “wizard” that he suddenly reacted.

“Wizards?

You said you just met a wizard?

Jon grabbed Angel's sleeve with his dry hand and exclaimed in disbelief.

“Yes, a level three wizard apprentice, to be exact.

That's what Morrow calls himself. ”

Myths flashed in Jon's mind and curiosity showed in his eyes, and then he suddenly realized it by thinking it over and over again and said:

“I see, now it makes sense.

Wizards, real wizards!

I've been studying physical data for years, and a lot of formulas can't be applied. The original source is this.

I was wrong from the very beginning. This side of the world is not ordinary at all. It is a world with extraordinary power!

Haha, I always thought that I had a higher vision than the natives here, but in the end I was trapped in a narrow view.

Is this your doing? “

Jon looked out of the window confusedly, while he exclaimed loudly.

His cry, held strong emotion, and was unwilling and unrepentant.

Even the people in the hall of the first floor were startled when they heard it.

Morrow listened carefully to this voice unwilling to laugh at them,  he could not help but show a face of loss: “Why, what language are they speaking?”

“Why isn't it a common language in the mainland? ”

Angel did not say everything about Jon before, neither the origin of Jon nor the morning dew after the rain planted by Jon, he could not say.

So Morrow always thought Jon was a man of the empire.

“It's the language of Jon's old hometown. What's it called?

Chinese?

I don't know much about the details. “

Leon is also full of doubts.

Chinese?

Morrow thought for a moment, but there was no impression of the country in his mind.

I think it's small country in a corner, possibly?

Morrow thought about it and didn't care further about the detail.

Although he was curious about the emotion contained in the roar, as a wizard apprentice, he was not curious enough to waste precious time on the affairs of ordinary mortals.

Besides, he had just been promoted to a senior apprentice, and only wanted to solve Angel's worry earlier, in order to leave the old mainland, and return to college for further study.

Nothing else is as important as his own strength.

With this in mind, Morrow closed his eyes and began to meditate.

It wasn't long before Angel came downstairs with a calm face.

Jon did not let Angel help him. Before his legs shrunk, he personally designed a wheelchair that could easily go up and down the stairs through some shaft wheels.

Morrow learned from Leon that Jon's wheelchair was designed by himself. In his heart, he could not help feeling that he had a strong mechanical talent. If he had talent, he might have made great achievements in alchemy.

It's just a pity.

Even with talent, he is too old.

Morrow's first impression of Jon was fixed of the word ‘old'.

He himself was nearly eighty years old, because without breaking through the official wizard, he had no choice but to allow time to change his appearance.

But he also had gone through some rejuvenation methods, making him to appear to be in his early sixties at the most.

As for Jon in front of him, had it not been for Angel telling him earlier, that Jon was in his early fifties, he would have thought that the man was at least a hundred years old.

“Is this a physical disease or some sort of blood failure?

Or maybe it is a curse, accelerating the erosion of the body by the power of time? ”

The big worry Angel had mentioned earlier was in the hope that Morrow would treat Jon, so Morrow immediately began to think about Jon's illness.

As Jon approached, Morrow's brow frowned.

A strange sense of dissonance,

Coming out of Jon.

The feeling, like one of those alien slaves he had seen at the scarlet auction, showing he was at odds with the world.

Is this man a traverser?

Morrow frowned.

However, when it comes to otherworldly visitors, he does not seem very similar.

He remembers reading in the college library the pros and cons of the warped wizard Bazel, which makes it clear that other planes have intelligent creatures, but humans like in their plane have never been discovered.

Of course, there are many humanoid creatures: three eyes, fish scales behind the ears, pet.i.te as small as a palm of the hand, wings on the back, although these creatures have human appearance, they are collectively referred to as humanoid.

“Is this a humanoid?”

Morrow guessed in his heart, but there was still a look of kindness on his face.

If it is really an alien creature, I will capture it and sell to another wizard, I can get at least 10 magic crystals!

Morrow has worked so hard for so many years but he has stored no more than 100 magic crystals.

At the thought of this, Morrow's eyebrows were bent into a seam.

When Jon sat down, Morrow coughed gently and said, “I'll cast on you a disease detection spell first. As long as I find the right direction, there should be no problem with the treatment.”

Instead of waiting for Jon and Angel's reaction, Morrow summoned the crystal ball and uttered some words through his lips.

After a while, a light green halo floated out of the crystal ball, slowly enveloping Jon's body.

Jon was surprised at seeing the extraordinary, comforted by the green halo, as he slowly calmed down, his face gradually grew rosy, until he finally closed his eyes silently and went into a deep sleep.

All the people were amazed at Morrow's means, thinking that Morrow casted a spell to heal.

They did not know that Morrow's release of witchcraft was only what he refers to as a level 1 spell: detect disease, a level 2 spell could do the same and break down the mysterious barrier, but only a level 2 wizard apprentice who had to read a book to perform the level 2 spell and understood the spell that Morrow had previously cast would reach the standard level of level 2 wizard apprentice.

Breaking down a barrier is an auxiliary spell which can only see through illusions or obstacles.

Although this is an obvious magic spell, witchcraft itself cannot be defined by a single sentence, just as oil is used to stop people from moving forward, but with some little flexible thinking, it can also be used to support combustion.

Any witchcraft has infinite possibilities; a wizard's pursuit of truth is actually a process of turning infinite possibilities into finite absolutes.

The same is true of breaking down the barrier. As long as it is a little flexible, changing the casting object from themselves to someone else, breaking the barrier will in turn have another effect, such as finding out the race of the other side.

However, the premise of this usage is that the other party should actively cooperate with you while the spell is cast.

Once the other person resists, the spell will naturally fail.

Morrow had released it this time under the pretext of helping with the treatment, and Jon would certainly not resist.

The green halo lasted for half a minute, shrouding Jon's head at first, then slowly moving down to his feet as if he being scanned.

When all is done, the halo folds into the crystal ball.

Morrow flashed his eyes and silently penetrated his mental strength into his crystal ball to explore the results of breaking down the barrier and the feedback given.

“Human?

100% pure human?! ”

Looking at this answer, Morrow raised his previous state of peace of mind to that of “impossible,” but vaguely he felt that there should be no problem with his actions.

After thinking about it for a long time, Morrow could not come to a conclusion and finally decided to believe in the feedback of breaking down the barrier.

As long as he is human, he is the same kind, there is no need to worry too much.

Since Jon is not an alien creature, when Morrow let go of his heart, he naturally began to live up to his promise to Angel.

So he continued to wave the crystal ball, and then silently use his magic to build a new spell model.

This time, the spell model he constructed was the real detection of the disease.
