Leo had successfully tamed this Demonic Lion after countless of times along with the rest of its pride, directly boosting Leo's military power into another level with them joining the ranks!

'With Shade and the others on our side. Taking over the Capital City would become a bit easier from now on!' Leo thought with a huge grin on his face while patting the side of the neck of the lion.

"Roar~" Shade issued a soft growl.

"Is my luck today is so high up in the sky that I actually met these guys?" Leo chuckled happily but when he suddenly remembered that thing again, made him more happier.

It was because Leo found out how this pride of mutated lions was able to track him constantly after he tamed them all and it was actually an innate ability of the lionesses called…

It's an innate ability that immediately alerts them of the incoming threat from an invader that could challenge their rule the moment an invader steps foot inside their territory and their territory is precisely the entire City of Cambridge!

"Come on, let's go to where the others are" Leo said as he pointed towards where Alex and the others are currently located.

While they are bulldozing through the scattered zombies on the road. Leo suddenly noticed something from the corner of his eye that immediately made his head turn!

"Quick! Stop!" Leo repeatedly tapped the lion beneath him as he urged for it to stop on its tracks.

So the group of six lions immediately halted in their tracks as the zombies around them stupidly tried to attack them which they were instead greeted by a savage swipe from them.

"Oh my G.o.d! Is that what I think it is!?" Leo immediately jumped down from Shade and yelled excitedly with his eyes and from a distance, he spotted a crashed black vehicle.

Leo immediately moved towards it with his [Ghost Steps].

"For the love of G.o.d! It really is! What the heck is this thing doing here of all places!?" Leo immediately pulled the huge vehicle in front of him from the rumble like it was nothing and started excitingly circled around it!

"d.a.m.n! My luck today is really astonis.h.i.+ng that I'm finding and seeing things that were hard to look for these days!" Leo said as he started caressing the vehicle in front of him like it was the most beautiful woman in the world as he started giggling like an idiot.

And the reason that made him excited like this is because the vehicle in front of him is a Marauder!

Yes! That Marauder! A true man's dream vehicle!

And for Doomsday Preppers! It was the most ideal vehicle in a Zombie Apocalyptic world excluding military vehicles!

Leo then excitedly moved towards the back of the vehicle and tried to open it.

"Eh? It's actually open" Leo mumbled in surprise as he actually expected it to be locked.

"Hahaha!" Leo started laughing again like a dumba** when he saw the inside of the vehicle as he punched a zombie that got near him and blasted it into pieces!

And the pride of lions watching him from a distance was looking at him with confused expressions in their eyes.

Leo immediately boarded the vehicle and inside was a mess filled with trash of food and water bottles but Leo didn't care about it as he immediately headed to the c.o.c.kpit of the vehicle.

And because Leo didn't know how to drive this vehicle he immediately wore his [Powered Armor] as something like a long needle appeared from the right of the armor and Leo randomly inserted it just beside the steering wheel.

The dashboard of the vehicle started s.h.i.+ning and it also started beating like a heart.

[We meet again, Commander. This is Gideon at your service!]

"Awesome~" Leo could barely control his excitement after he made Gideon take full control of this vehicle.

This is one of the few functions of the [Powered Armor] that Leo just recently discovered. It allows the human like A.I "Gideon" to infiltrate the vehicle's system and take control of it like the PELICAN!

Sometimes, Leo even felt that he was a Terminator the first time he used this function of the [Powered Armor]!

"h.e.l.lo there, Gideon!" Leo said smiling.

"Vehicle: Status Report"

[Fuel at fifty seven percent full]

[Outer Sh.e.l.l is ninety three percent operational]

[The entire vehicle is fully operational and ready to go!]

Leo then nodded as he disable hid [Armor] and said, "Alright, drive this car and head towards where Alex and the others are"

Leo then got out of the vehicle and immediately roared into life like a tank and sped towards Girton College.

"I didn't expect that my luck today would this good!" Leo said as he mounted on the back of Shade.

"The rest of you, spread out and kill all of the zombies that you meet on the road" Leo commanded to the lionesses beside him.

All of them issued a low growl of approval before dispersing in different directions!

And not even five minutes had pa.s.sed, he received a notification.

"Onwards! Let's go too!" Leo said as they headed towards the direction of Girton College.

Around ten minutes earlier.

"Hey, do you think he would be fine on his own? This city has already become a haven for zombies" Marie who was standing by the window while looking at the swarm of zombies pa.s.sing by the building they were at asked Hanc.o.c.k who is standing beside her.

"I don't know how powerful the dude is but I do know that moving around the city by himself is not a problem" Hanc.o.c.k looked at her and said.

"How do you even know that?" Marie said, not clearly convince at what he said.

"I've seen people like him when I was still at the army but I've never met someone like him who had such suffocating feeling being at his presence. You would never understand what I'm saying because you haven't killed yet" Hanc.o.c.k said with a stiff smile on his face as he remembered that feeling of suffocation, that feeling that he can't control his own breathing with just being in his presence the first time he met Leo.

"Are you saying that he's actually a very dangerous ent.i.ty?"

"Yes, he is"

"But I don't think so though with how you interacted with him"

Hanc.o.c.k just smiled at that and gave her a short reply, "It's because we still have our morals and have not lost it yet"

"Let's just hope the people coming to pick us up aren't unreasonable people" Hanc.o.c.k shook his head clearly worried as his gaze landed on the kids sleeping peacefully on the flattened carton boxes.

KABOOM!

Not even five seconds has pa.s.sed after he said those words that an explosion appeared in front of the building they were at.

The kids immediately awoke into a jolt because of that, that they immediately sat up and looked towards where Hanc.o.c.k and Marie are huddling at.

"Kids! Come over here, quick!" Hanc.o.c.k immediately gestured for all of them to ran towards him and the kids did just that as they hid behind a st.u.r.dy cabinet.

KABOOM! KABOOM! *Gunfire!*

After that, there was another couple of explosions followed by the sounds of gunfire slowly heading towards them as the sounds of it are getting louder the closer they were from the building that Hanc.o.c.k and the others are staying at.

A few moments later, everything turned tranquil.

Hanc.o.c.k then slowly stood up and walked over towards the nearest window and took a peek but he immediately ducked down when he saw the scene outside.

"What happened?" Marie asked when Hanc.o.c.k came back.

Hanc.o.c.k then explained to them that there are at least twenty armed men was just outside the building warily looking around and along with them are one Battle Tank, two military trucks and a HUMVEE standing by.

Around the same time.

Joe and his men already arrived just outside the building where Leo had told them to pick up the survivors he had left here after a painstaking battle against the walking dead.

"We are at the right place, right? This place looks desolate" Joe said while checking out the building in front of them.

"Yes sir, this is the place that Commander ordered us to go to" a soldier beside him said after looking through a holographic map on his hand with a blinking green dot in the middle of it.

The thing at the soldiers hands were just a simple transparent plastic looking gla.s.s with two round handles at each side in the shape of a tube and this thing is called.

One of the few items Leo had purchased before the start of this expedition and ten of them were distributed within the army. It provides them with a real time map of the surrounding five miles from their position almost similar to Leo's System map.

"Alright, if you say so" Joe sighed, wondering why this future brother in-law of his specifically ordered them to rescue this group of survivors immediately when they could always do it after consolidating their first base here.

"This is Captain Joe of Hope Survivor Base! We were ordered here by our Commander to pick up the survivors hiding in this building! If there are people inside, please step out! We'll only give ten seconds to come out and if you don't, we'll immediately leave this place and go back!" Joe hurriedly said as he doesn't want to stay for even a minute more as he know there would be some zombies and monsters that would certainly head here and it would really be bad for them if they unluckily captured the attention of some of the more powerful mutated beast and zombies.

Inside the building.

"This is Captain Joe of Hope Survivor Base! We were ordered here by our Commander to pick up the survivors hiding in this building! If there are people inside, please step out! We'll only give ten seconds to come out and if you don't, we'll immediately leave this place and go back!"

"What do we do? Should we go out?" Marie nervously said to Hanc.o.c.k.

"We are, just follow behind me" Hanc.o.c.k said as he knows this is their only chance of leaving this city alive and even if they ignored them and waited for Leo to come back here.

They really don't have a choice but to comply as they don't even know if Leo would come back or not so it's just better for them to just stepped out and let their presence known.

And Hanc.o.c.k has at least a little bit of trust to Leo that his men wouldn't do anything harmful to them.

Hanc.o.c.k then stood up and walked over to the window and yelled while showing his hands that he's unarmed, "Don't shoot! We have kids with us! We're coming out!"

"Alright!" Joe replied back.

Hanc.o.c.k then went back to the rest of the group and lead the way as Marie and the kids nervously followed behind him.

"Who are you?" Joe looked thoughtfully at the beautiful Marie, thinking that Leo probably had some relations.h.i.+p with this woman for actually having them especially to come pick them up. Joe didn't really mind that Leo would have another woman beside his sister and Mich.e.l.le.

After all, what's the difference if there were another woman if there are already two beautiful in Leo's arms.

"She's my wife, Marie and I'm Hanc.o.c.k" Marie was about to say something when Hanc.o.c.k beat her to it and immediately answered on Marie's behalf because he thought that Joe was having designs to Marie.

Marie and the kids looked wide eyed at Hanc.o.c.k's shamelessness but they didn't say anything especially Marie as she wasn't stupid enough that she didn't even noticed Joe staring at her.

Joe raised an eyebrow and said, "How are you related to Leo?" this time he didn't address him as his superior but in a more familiar way like when talking about one of your family members.

"We..just met him an hour ago so we really don't know much about him" Marie answered this time, confused at why this person is asking them about their relations.h.i.+p to Leo.

"I see" Joe then smiled and told them.

"Come on, you guys go ride one of the trucks. We'll get you guys out of where" he gestured to ride one of the military trucks.

Hanc.o.c.k and the others immediately rode of the trucks as Joe also rode with them as they immediately headed back towards their temporary base here.

'What is so special about them that Leo even went into the trouble of immediately getting them out of the danger zone?' Joe thought as he eyed every single one of them.

'Why is this guy looking at us like this? So uncomfortable. Is he one of those b.a.s.t.a.r.ds that likes preying on the kids?' Hanc.o.c.k thought angrily as he would glance from time to time at Joe's direction and every time, he would see him looking at the kids which made him misunderstood that Joe is a "predator".

'Don't tell me that one of the kids is actually a mutant!?' Joe suddenly had an absurd thought and he knew that this is the only logical reason for this sudden escort if it wasn't for the woman named Marie.

These two guys were constantly misunderstanding each other that if Joe knew what Hanc.o.c.k's first impression about him then he would have immediately kicked him out of the vehicle, leaving him at the mercy of the monsters around them.
