The Gun Turret and Death Bringer ran out of bullets at the same time so the Gun Turret just stopped firing as smoke was coming out of its barrel and Alastair who was beside the weapon he created just smiled and murmured with antic.i.p.ation in his voice, "It seems it's finally time for it to s.h.i.+ne again"

The tip of the Death Bringer suddenly started gathering of what happens to be plasma energy into a ball!

The plasma energy ball became as big as two fist combined together before it shot towards the skies in an arc motion before it landed in the middle of the horde!

The explosion was so powerful that it had a blast radius of thirty meters and the zombies within that range are either blasted to pieces or crippled!

And Zabu who just killed a Hunter Type Zombie was startled by the sudden explosion as it really was too near from him that even his backside was now filled with the disgusting blood and gore of the zombies that splattered towards him due to the explosion!

"Oy! Be careful with that thing you a.s.shole! I almost got hit!" Zabu blasted a zombies head with his fist before he angrily yelled at Alastair while showing him the middle finger.

"What~!?" Sorry, I can't hear ya!" Alastair said and it might looked like he was teasing him but he really couldn't hear him due to how chaotic the place is right now but that doesn't mean he doesn't get what Zabu is trying to say, he just didn't bother.

Zabu gave one last more middle finger at Alastair before he use his signature skill again as he noticed that Alex and his crew are being besieged by the mutated zombies and if Leo was here, he would probably wonder why Alex still haven't rampage on the entire battlefield by himself.

The mini tornado Zabu traverse through the horde as he killed his way over towards Alex.

"Koraa! Koraa! Move out of the way, you disgusting creeps!" Zabu was yelling his lungs out as he continued spinning in circles while at the same time he was thinking to himself, 'How the heck did Alex even got themselves surrounded? That guy's a freaking monster!'

But Zabu didn't know that Alex allowed themselves to get surrounded because he wanted to temper the men under him more because he knows that Leo would need a lot of powerful and experienced soldiers in his future conquest and at the same time, this is also a chance for them to Mutate during this dire circ.u.mstances with their lives on the line but Alex did make sure that no one gets bitten or dies while they are being surrounded.

Alex suddenly whistled and then loud roar reverberated from a nearby hill.

Kitty, the mutated black panther was sleeping peacefully on a clearing in the middle of spa.r.s.e forest when suddenly her ears perked up when she heard a whistle so it immediately got up and issued a loud roar sending ordinary birds and small animals immediately scattering away from her.

Kitty immediately rushed towards where the whistle came from as its nose would twitch from time to time as it could smell the disgusting stench of blood in the air.

Kitty the arrived at the chaotic war zone within half a minute and saw its master being surrounded so it immediately stormed towards Alex. Its speed was constantly increasing as it ran and when Kitty was just a few meters from the edge of the horde, Kitty got slowly covered in golden lightning around its body like Pikachu's special move, Volt Tackle.

"ROAR!" Kitty roared as it jumped over through a guard rail and collided on the horde upon landing where she only paused for a few moment before she continued to spear through the horde towards the direction of her master and every zombie in her way, mutated or not was all burnt into a crisp!

And Alex immediately jumped on her back when Kitty got near him as both of them finally started rampaging in the battlefield, starting with the zombies surrounding Zabu and Alex's men!

"Fire! Fire! Fire! Don't let them get near the wall!" Austin's second- in command was panicking because he already noticed that the horde is slowly growing in numbers and they are even getting dangerously close to the wall even with the survivors already giving their all!

"Ahh! Die motherf*ckers!" Austin's second in-command called Martin is starting go crazy as he just fired and fired towards the enemy or zombie lines with the gatling gun on his hands!

"Focus fire on the Charger Zombies! Don't ever let them get near the wall!" the man yelled but at the same time he was also getting worried as the reinforcements from the main isn't here especially the PELICAN that went but still haven't returned but what made him really worry is its already dusk and he knows if they still haven't eliminated all the zombies before the sun goes down then they would be fighting blind in the darkness and even if they use floodlights, they're vision and fighting capacity would still be limited due to the darkness!

But just as he was having dark thoughts, he suddenly a buzzing and rumbling sound from somewhere and he looked around and so were others who noticed and all of them immediately beamed with joy as they the PELICAN finally heading towards them! There is even the Scorpion Tank who just entered the camp through the other gate and heading over towards their direction with thirty fully armed soldiers running rhythmically behind the tank!

The PELICAN pa.s.sed over them as it flew over to the middle of the horde and opened fire below!

*Rttta!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*

The Machine Gun Turret mounted from its ceiling, M370 auto-cannon mounted below the nose of the aircraft and its Anvil-II Air-to-Surface Missiles immediately opened fire at the same time causing devastation within the horde.

"Wahh! The reinforcements are here!"

"Thank G.o.d! I was already running out of ammunition!"

"*Sob* sob* sob. Mother, your son is still coming alive!"

"Hahaha! It's good to be alive kid!"

The people immediately cheered in happiness with their arrival and seeing that the reinforcement from the main camp is already here, Alex who is currently mounted on top of Kitty brought his crew along with Zabu as they immediately retreated from the battlefield towards the front of the camp wall as they stationed themselves there, killing whoever gets near the wall and Austin also retreated after. After all, he absolutely doesn't want to suffer from a friendly fire.

And not even a few seconds later, the south gate slowly opened up and the Scorpion Tank pa.s.sed along the gate with the soldiers following behind and the Tank just stopped fifty meters away from the wall as it finally started its barrage of continuous cannon fire as the soldiers with it surrounding the tank in a tight circular formation preventing any zombies that gets near them.

"Yeah! Kill those son of b*tches!"

"Haa~ I could finally get a bit of rest" one of the survivors said as he slid down on the steel platform.

After that there were no surprises left as the zombie horde was thoroughly exterminated a few minutes later and it might have looked as a one sided victory for the others but what they didn't know is that they also suffered some casualties due to the Striker Zombies using their tentacles to pull the survivors from the wall.

After the Scorpion Tank and PELICAN pulled out, Austin immediately ordered those survivors who never fought earlier to clean up the battlefield and specifically instructed to bury the bodies while he also ordered three squads from the camp garrison to patrol the surroundings of the previous battlefield and eliminate any lone zombies or monsters that gets to near to the cleaners. Because it was already night time, they made sure to use fire torches and stuck them in different directions to at least light up their surroundings no matter how limited its illumination is.

"How many casualties do we have?" Austin stood at the top of the wall and asked Martin.

Martin who is standing beside immediately answered, "We had a total of one hundred fifty soldiers from the garrison unit while another one hundred for the survivors that volunteered for the defense. We suffered twelve deaths from the volunteers while there are only three deaths from our garrison, sir and there are fifty seven people who suffered minor injuries"

Austin's expression immediately turned dark when he heard the report because for him those casualties is already considered heavy no matter how many small it sounds. After all, the current Hope 101 only has a limited population that doesn't even exceed three hundred excluding the garrison soldiers and even though there would be survivors who would eventually arrived and seek shelter here, losing fifteen people who are already considered adept at fighting zombies and monsters is considered a big loss. Why? Because that every survivor had the courage to fight and face an entire horde of zombies and the example was already shown today where not even half of the survivors living in the camp didn't even join the defense.

But one of the reasons is also the horde that grew from ten thousand to almost fifty thousand by the end of battle.

Leo's eyelids twitch for a few second and then he finally opened his eyes and that moment he opened his eyes, his Death Knight also disappeared as it retreated back into Leo's shadow.

"He's awake!" Aria was the first to noticed that Leo finally awoke as she yelled in happiness before she ran towards her brother, she had even forgotten that there was a Death Knight earlier with them in the room!

The others also rushed towards Leo in ecstasy!

Amanda and Mich.e.l.le suddenly jumped onto his embraced and cried silently. Leo smiled bitterly so he just hugged them back while patting their backs.
