There werent a lot of handsome men in this world, and good ones were even harder to come by.

For the purpose of painting, she has always been a very observant person and had rarely seen a man that she found attractive.

Thinking about that, Gu Shishi sighed.

He couldnt help but remember her background.

She wasnt one of those girls who were raised inside of a honey jar. She wasnt in the habit of whining whenever she wanted something.

A real prestigious family does not look down on commoners. When a commoner was tossed suddenly into the world of prestigious families, theyd need time to adjust. Most likely, theyd let it get to their head and learned to become arrogant like a parvenu riche.

At least, she wasnt all that bad and still maintained her innocence.

Except that, she was too timid, too reserved.

She still hasnt learned to tell the maids and the butler to work for her.

Thinking of that, Huo Sishen felt that there was a lot of weight on his shoulder.

Just like when he first got the puppy that the butler had brought back for him. The old butler had to patiently potty train it and to not chew up the furniture.

His eyes narrowed before his look softened.

Even his normal deep and cold voice seemed to have warmed some.

Starting today, Ill have Mrs. Zheng, the head of all maids, assigned to you. She will only need to focus on you and nothing else. Huo Sishen paused after he said that. He tried to soften his voice up as much as he could, just like how the butler was with the puppy.
